Depends of what you queue into. Also yes, you are likely bad at puloting Tempo Rogue, piloting decks correctly is a lot harder than people make it out to be.
The rank 20 of today is very different from rank 20 of 3-4 years ago. Now you will see a 80% of Tier 1-2 deck on that rank...and this is quite challenging for a new player (maybe too much). The main difference between rank 20 and hightest ranks is the ability to not make (too many) mistakes. So at rank 20 you can face a lot of good deck, but often you will win by take advantage of enemy mistakes :)
The state of ranks 20-10 is abysmal, tier one decks everywhere with golden heroes. It’s definitely not as easy as it should be, as I don’t think players who seemingly have access to most, if not all Hearthstone cards should be at those ranks.
Hearthstone has become a solely pay to win game, so it really depends if you have all the cards for a tempo rogue. That said, rank 15 should be achievable with whizbang if you play correctly.

This statement is both right and wrong. Rank 15 is easily achieved with a good deck, a little bit of luck some skill and time. But let's not start this Pay To Win Bollocks here eh?
I gave up playing ranked and I am by no means bad at this game. Says it all really and I still "get to" play all the same decks in casual anyway without the stress of grinding for a golden epic or whatever it is people do it for.
I think if you reach a new rank floor you should never be able to go lower than it, I did think that was what the updated system was not too long back but that is not how it works as I found out when I got to rank 15 that first month and still dropped down at the start of the next month.
I don't want to play people who belong in rank 10 or above like ever, even less so in ranked where it is obvious they will just stomp anyone from rank 20-10.

Therefor rank 20 in Wild can be a way more joyfull place, if you play "for fun". There you will face way more non-meta and even wacky decks. Standard is from rank 20 to 1 boring 99% T1/2 netdecks.
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.

This is becoming more tempting even though I dusted my first rotation sets back in the day. I would need like 100 deck slots though if I had access to all the cards again hahaha
Because it certainly doesn't seem to be as easy or full of bad players as some people are making it out to be.
Or am I just that bad at piloting a Tempo Rogue deck?
Rank 20 felt harder than ranks 19-16 to me personally, that being said i didn't play those ranks basically since team5 intoduced ranked floors so things might have changed
Grinding Ladders requires times, tons of times if you are not play a fast efficient Tier 1 deck. So if you can't play a lot you'll probably find yourself stucked around Rank 15-5 depending on how many win streaks you can get.
HS "competitive" mode is more about time than about skill, so your Rank is not an appropriate measure of how much you're good at the game. Ofc I'm not saying that skill doesn't matter but for how Ladders are built, it's something that come (sadly) after the time consuming effort if your goal is to achieve Legend.
20 is hard, I play my trash decks against netdecks over and over. I wish to know why degenerates play Kripp's bomb warrior on 20 rank when already have golden hero.

so you are saying that if you have a golden hero portrait, you have a obligation to stay above rank 10, or else just stop playing the game?

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
People can fall back to rank 20 in a few months, either deliberately or due to inactivity. Some do it to be able to get those 500 wins quicker, this is the reason rank 20 feels harder than rank 10-15 for example. Those who were once at high ranks will beat you because they know how to play a certain deck, unlike many netdecking grinders around rank 15 who don't understand why they keep losing with their supposedly tier 2 deck they can't pilot properly.

FWIW I was playing with the same Tempo Rogue as Orange but find it difficult to keep minions on the board. I've come to realize that piloting a deck in Hearthstone is such a subtle art.
Much more difficult than what I thought it would be. I thought I would climb the ladder by crafting the best decks on HSReplay. Not true. This is good news, of course. It means Hearthstone is not P2W
By personal expierience the point where u can call the climbing "challenging" is at Rank 10. People tend to make less missplays and generally have a better sense of the meta. Nowdays Rank 20 isn´t easy for new players since at this rank most players start playing Tier 1-3 decks... if u have a better sense of the meta u will be favored even without a Tier 1 deck.
Hope u will enjoy the climbing, good luck!
Btw. Rogue is a pretty difficult class to pilot because it requires more game knowledge than most other classes.

There are plenty of other Threads for that dude.
4/3/19 RIP Keith Flint. 😔
Not true.
Please don't tell my girlfriend about my card collection...

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?

Lower ranks are harder imo, because you can play around netdecks, but not against Leeroy Mage like wtf

The best decks tend to be the cheapest... so ur statement is based on ur salty expierience with the current meta i assume.
