Honestly i don't find it that disgusting, never played it and will never, but every time i found one i know it's free win as it is easy to take the board early (with thief rogue)
ooof, My winrate against druid with tempo/thief rogue is not good at all, you just go face and don't trade or? I imagine that could work with the tempo rogue
I'm currently sitting at 6 - 2 against Token Druid with my Control Bomb Warrior. Best way to win is to make sure that they don't have more than 2 minions on aboard after turn 4, kill Vargoth and try to keep your board Clears for as long as possible. Oh yes, and try using Warpath mostly against boards buffed with Soul of the Forest.

yeah that's about the only deck I have had success with against token druid haha
Who the fuck said I was a control player, and I didn't generalize OTK decks if you actually read it properly you would have known but ending games in OTK consistently at around round 5-7 is not fun for anyone. And talking about being biased when you start your reply with biased yourself
I've been on these forums for awhile now. It's pretty easy to know the control mains when they start making sweeping 'objective' generalizations about what is or isn't fun for "everyone" (whatever that means). Also, your complaints of two playstyles that have the potential to beat control doesn't really put your post in a good light of suggesting that you don't primarily main control. It's also pretty obvious when you resort to copypasta edgy catch phrases, such as aggro not requiring strategy/skill. Even as a combo/otk main, who is naturally countered by the aggro playstyle, understands the various elements of skill needed when playing aggro.
I agree with the others here, you're salty af. Time to move on and stop spamming these forums with premature doomsayer balance threads for a meta that isn't even established fully.
Please stop all the BS about Token druid. It's not OP and can be countered. Players are teching against it now and the matches are more balanced. I do admit that Token druid is slightly favored but it is never a done deal.
I have played decks that counter them as I also said in the thread "no one likes being forced playing a certain deck". And don't try telling me that face hunter for an example isn't easier than playing midrange hunter
If you draw and play on curve, midrange hunter is easier than face hunter.
It's a fantastic deck but like most, can be countered. Tempo Mage, Control Warrior, damn even memey vargoth priest can reck token. The deck lists lack draw so if they don't draw well then they're pretty screwed.
Tech in a few cards, such as abomination or silences (mass dispell works wonders...)
It seems hypocritical to whine about Token Druid in a meta where Bomb Warrior is a thing. You complain about lack of strategy and yet you play a deck that sits on it ass, removes things, adds bombs to the opponents deck and plays Dr. Boom. Talk about double standards.
This topic comes down to: "I don't like this deck, so I whine about it".
Don't let me develop the board in the early turns; force me to make trades I'm not happy about and you'll usually win or force me to make later plays I don't want to make (like Soul of the Forest on two minions or using a Savage Roar just to make trades and keep the board).

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
Not everyone enjoyes 30 minutes long games. I personally get bored to death when playing against control warrior. Does that give me the right to call control warrior for cancer? NO! People enjoy control warrior and have every right to play it if they want to. Same for token druid. You may hate the deck, but it is honestly the only deck I find even remotely fun playing right now. Still missing many key cards for other decks though, so can’t say if that will last. Token druid is just cheap to craft compared to many other decks.
I tried token druid as I don't really play druid much, so figured I'd go another route. I don't think it's a good deck, rank 5 players have figured it out, I see the winrate is steadily declining in that bracket. I'm probably playing it really badly as I have never really gone for token decks, but I could barely win a game. Switched to mech paladin, and applied the play style others had used against me, just heavy trading and tempo plays, with one large damage source for pressure, and the deck is pitiful. Occasionally you let a board slip through and the druid picks up a cheesy win. It's hardly unbeatable.
For starters I have played this game since beta, I have never complained on forums ever but this new token druid just really get's me. No one likes getting fucked on round 4-6 because there aren't enough good board clears in the game anymore and if you already used 1 or 2 already then well fuck you anyway's he will summon a full board of wisps or have a summon a treant deathrattle effect and then force of nature next turn for around 20 damage to the face. You literally can't keep up unless you are playing something that counters the token druid but no one likes being forced to play a certain deck
I would love to hear from other peoples experience against this deck or even playing it, there have also been a ton of rogues and warriors that I don't mind for the most part I feel like there is actually a card game being played there(unless you get super unlucky against a rogue)
I just think that these fast OTK on round 4-6 decks or super good aggro decks are detrimental to the whole game, they require almost 0 strategy or thought and often shit on decks that actually do need strategy and actual thought.
Anyways just my thoughts on this situation, Currently sitting at rank 4 been a steady climb for the most part this new season but druid really fucking me up and I feel like I have no answer to their deck unless i'm playing control warrior. What are you're guys and girls opinions i'd love to hear them below!
this really bugs me that people say aggro requires to skill. you have to make decisions just like every other deck in every other card game.
if aggro decks were as simple as "play minions, hit face" then a super smart control player who has been playing since beta should be able to counter them easily.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
My 2 cents (after some Standard Brawliseum with Tempo Rogue, where I could successfully fend off early, and pressure to lethal in lategame):
Standard Token Druid is only strong if you do not apply enough pressure, either early on, or solidly gaining initiative later on.
It's always been that way tho, it's the essence of Token Druid: so many board rebuilds and/or resilience, that hoping to Control each of them is pretty hard, at least in Standard.
Bare control is not enough. Kill them fast, or kill them in few bursts.
I'm playing control warrior on ladder and i'm doing good against druids.( lost 2 games from rank 17 to 8) And it's true that they can destroy you easily but if you focus on cleaning the board, soon or later you will have the control of the game.
I built token druid but didn’t get on well playing with it and lost alot, however I haven’t had to much trouble beating it between rank 5-10 and it’s actually refreshing to face after 2 or 3 games of facing bomb warrior
The solution is simple: if you meet too many decks of a specific archetype on your rank, you either play something that counters these or you accept your opponents advantage instead of making generalizing BS claims such as "No one likes getting fucked on round 4-6". Otherwise you're just being salty, sorry pal.

If you can't beat em, join em.

So strong at the moment.
Thinking of crafting the deck, I can't see how it won't be worth it. Could I be wrong?
If you draw and play on curve, midrange hunter is easier than face hunter.
This again?

I've been using Batterhead. Gets through Soul of the Forest as well.
I'm playing this deck at Rank 4 right now. Here's how you can destroy me:

Join me at Out of Cards!
Token Druid is no cancer. Its not even super good.
The cancer spells BOMB Warrior. Fuck that shit.....

play zoo lock
curently zoo lock has best winrate vs token druid
in my road from rank 10 to 5 i face 5 token druid with zoo lock win all 5 matches
also control warrior is good but have long games and may not be the best deck for laddering overall
