For me ladder is realy fun since so many new decks are beeing played, it feela fresh and enjoyable. But i couldnt say the same thing for arena. I realy dislike arena right now and the reason are two minions. The first one is cabal courier it feels like it is in every mage priest or warlock deck and the second one is the eccentric scribe which is basicaly a savanah highmane for every class out there and i realy hate both them for their stickiness.
I was thinking about crafting the more minion centric token druid that runs scribe. it is a good card then? or do you just mean for arena?
I see a lot of negativity here every day, complaining about everything possible. I know, it's a normal thing on game forums, but still I have to say this.
Rise of Shadows is such an amazing upgrade on what we had to deal with for last 8 months. Standard meta is really fresh, there's lot of different decks to play, who would've guessed that "Malygos hunter" would be played someday. Removing odd/even was the best thing they could've done. Arena seasons is a great thing for arena players like myself. I enjoy playing HS ladder again after a long time!
I think there's only one thing that needs fixing, and that's rogue in arena, way too strong atm, but few bucket changes will fix that problem easily. On standard it's way too early to suggest any nerfs, there is no deck that's single handedly dominating the meta atm.
RoS is funny as hell. The new RnG cards are stupid funny and the gameplay is the same as week one closed beta. I have nothing to win in the game or achieve anymore. I play purely to collect and make the best cards gold. Blizzard has made key cards hard to remove and their effects fucking ludicrous. I feel sorry for the fodder that still has yet to obtain the coveted "I'm smarter than Einstein" card back. Wild is nothing but a gold farm with my favorite triple legend odd rogue deck. The new lackey tokens are stupid dumb and win games themselves. Finally, a fucking totally busted and stupid ass expansion that mocks the game itself and the whiners who play it!
RoS is indeed a lot of fun and it gives such a fresh feel to the game. Baku and Genn rotation was key for this. Having no death knights also gives so much more room for deckbuilding. You have to actually choose between being allround deck, greedy deck, midrange deck, whatever deck... and because of this, tech card are actually a thing again! I love it! The only real tech I saw last year was mossy horror when giggling was still OP. Other than that, decks were just 100% the same without any adjustments to the meta. At least that's my feel! I'm glad a lot of people find this expansion enjoyable.
Fresh?Fun?What the heck, am i the only who faces only smorc rogue, smorc hunter and bomb warrior?Am the only one cursed by matchmaker. 95 % of my games are the 3 aforementioned decks (rank 1-3 Eu). D':

If you really face those three all the time, you could play something that counters them. Probably ctrl warrior?

Control warrior does poorly against all of those decks apart from "tempo=aggro" rogue. It does extraordinary badly against Hunter.
To add to that, I've always been a fan of constructive criticism. Pointing out problems of a game is completely fine, but now it feels like people try to make a problem out of everything and can't just enjoy themselves. (that card is too strong, nerf this deck, why is this a thing, how can I beat that deck, that and this is way too op....)
I'm having a great time, its nice to see some positive discussion (though constructive criticism is needed, it goes beyond that most of the time). Loving Rafaam at the moment, was looking forward to him from when he was announced and although he's inconsistent, he's great fun and has single handedly won me games with totally different conditions
Bomb warrior is good fun (come at me) and I've played around with a couple shaman decks. So much still to make and mess about with, really looking forward to experimenting more and more
Sure, Warrior and Druid are a bit over the top, but I'm fairly certain they'll end up on the nerf list anyways and will be brought into line.
I'm mostly happy that Rogue is viable without being completely overpowering. Also good to see that Mage didn't die entirely.
Hunter is still around with multiple archetypes and Mech Hunter finally works
Paladin also thankfully didn't just completely kill the meta with Secret Paladin (which is probably the most overhyped thing I've seen this far) but still has good decks with combo and Mech builds
I kinda wish Savage Roar would just get axed completely, because I really like the idea of token druid, but I hate how Roar polarizes every matchup. I'd rather teh deck just depends on buffs and board refills to chip down enemies instead of just waiting until your oppponent runs out of boardclears to just murder them..especiallly since now the murder can happen as soon as turn 4-5 because of how many token generators there are.
Currently still trying to figure out what to make of Priest. Tried messing around with Lady in White which is very inconsistent, but kind of fun. At the moment I feel like it could work with a Mech build of all things. Also tried Deathrattles, but there just isn't really anything to glue the archetype together. Also couldn't think of anything thaat works with Talanji or Bwonsamdi, just not enough minions that generate stuff or minions worth shuffling.
Warlock still has Zoo, which has at least been noticeably different by virtue of Keleseth no longer existing
Shaman, for the first time, seems to have multiple different archetypes that don't actually just rely on a single cheap gimmick. I'm still surprised that Control Shaman is as viable as it this, despite lacking any kind of win condition.
At the end of it all, for once there doesn't seem to be a class that has been shafted completely (maybe Priest, but I feel like we ahven't experimentedd enough there)

Control Warrior is good against bomb warrior if you run archivist.

And why you assume that i haven't already done it?It's not the winrate my problem, the repeative gameplay on the freaking 1st week is. And control warrior is a terrible recommendation btw :p
Most of the complaining is adaption pains, people have been playing the hunter midrange and wall priest meta for so long, that they have forgotten what its like to play in a grinder warrior meta.
Bomb and control warriors of 2019 are no more control heavy that the GvG and TGT control warriors of old (maybe even slower as they have less burst potential).
The variability presented in the expansion is still developing and as of right now its looking pretty good.

lol same here. i‘m on rank 3 and i get cued into the same 3 decks all the time. then when i switch to control, i suddenly get cued up against a mage, priest or spell hunter.
i really really hate the game right now. it isn‘t fun at all and i‘m really disappointed bcs i thought the coin flip matches would stop with the rotation.
RoS is really a breath of fresh air. Feels really good. Almost every class has a legit above 50% winrate deck. I myself play 4 classes right now and with every one of them have positive winrate. Yeah, sometimes with the curent decks it feels a little RNG, but it is more fun than a month ago. In my last game I played Secret Pally vs Tempo Rogue. With no cards in hand, only a 2/2 weapon and a Hidden Wisdom secret in play. The Rogue was on 9 health. Played 3 cards and my top deck was Captain Greenskin and Leeroy... He was mad :D
In every expansion, there are good and bad things. And people will just continue to whine. Even if the card game is made only of wisps 1/1 , ppl will complaining who goes first.
To the topic, my favourite expansion will be Un'goro, and its card rotation to wild, definetly. Ah, nostalgy ^^
Since this forum is as a plague fanboy infested, the overall category 1 responses were to be expected. The notion of critical thinking is absent, replaced by fanboy favourite: complaining.

First of all negativity is not normal. Analysis is. Confusing both is a typical trait of a fanboy. But here's the thing. What is the verdict of the quality of card design in the last 8 months according to the OP? Not that good. So now he's happy. A year from now what will be the verdict of this exp? I'm sure 8 months ago people where happy with the meta then.
TL;DR: Fanboys don't think, they just adore, but at least the never 'complain.'
The mindlessness factor of this exp is as bad as the previous.

You've hit the nail on the head here. People defended Witchwood when there were complaints that it did very little. People defended BDP when it did nothing to the meta once more. Even in Rastakhan's Rumble, people stepped forward to defend it from criticism. And then the amnesiac hypocrisy kicks in and everyone admits last year was terrible, that now rotations will improve things.
The third comment gets a ton of support, and yet none of the upvoters have started a thread now to defend the Year of the Raven. In fact, quite a few of them would probably agree now that the Year of the Raven sucked. Because it is safe to show negativity towards the past. Things can never be bad in the present, though, that's just negativity!

Lol every expansion everybody complains so much. Do you guys forgot Jade druid, Kazakus priest pirate warrior, machine gun, ect...
I feel the same way tbh.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.
Every expansion was good, even Gadgetzan. But most people just can't accept HS for the way it is.
