I am fine with it, definetly better than the last broken year.
Day with the garbage netdeck community was stupid with the Bomb Warrior, but there are multiple classes that can counter it, so I am fine with it. Me and my pals definetly have the most fun since a long time.
I understand the design decision to make it similar to stuff we know, given that it's the 5 year anniversary and all. But I completely agree with OP, emotionally my response is really flat. I've been whaling pretty hard and always bought for 100$+ for every expansion but I think this'll be the last one for me; I've been playing more MTGA than HS since the expansion, and even though the last expansion there was in January I still feel like there's more decks I haven't tried than ones in this expansion. The legendaries just don't jog my imagination, I can't see something fun and left field come out of it.
Meanwhile in MTG I still have to try stuff with Ill-Gotten Inheritance, Biogenic Ooze, or Theater of Horrors. and not only that I have loads of older mythics I wanna try with new cards, since even stuff like Revel in Riches got new support with things like Smothering Tithe even though it was released a year prior. Plus 100$ will get me almost a full playset in MTG after dailies, whereas it's not nearly enough in HS.
For HS to win me back they'd have to either be comfortable with more complex cards (such as Finale of Promise) or cards that jog your imagination (such as Role Reversal). As it is right now in HS I feel like everyone just looks at stuff like Waggle Pick and thinks "ah, Leeroy".
Boom should put a minion for each bomb in the opponent deck instead x2 for bomb.
Hero card can be increased in mana to 8 or 9, hero cards are waaaaaaaay more powerful than other cards and now a lot of classes don't have one, making things worse.
Very meh in my opinion, I was super psyched when I heard that they were gonna reintroduce some of the older mechanics, but then they didn't bring back the one mechanic I wanted.
So I'm just doing dailies and logging off, hopefully they'll bring it back in the next expansion (or make something that'll really excite me).

So which is the mechanic you wanted them to bring back?
Classes without hero cards unplayable. No idea what decided Blizzard to only give some classes hero cards effectively making them much stronger then the classes that do not have a hero card. Either give all classes a hero card or put Shaman, Hunter and Warrior hero card into wild.
I am talking and I am free to dislike. I don't care if you think that I am bored, if you think that change thread. Nobody is forcing you here.
I am very disappointed and I am free to be disappointed.
And if you see the votes, half of the people voted so and so and bad, after only less that one week so, it seems that I am not the only one very disappointed.
I only voted "so-so" because I'm hitting dead ends in trying to make Spell Hunter work. Which is disappointing, but there are other great decks to play still. I see some potential in things that hopefully will get more support with the next xpac.
Overall, it's a very solid xpac for the start of a new year.
My point, you added a vague answer to your survey. Someone replying "So-so" doesn't necessarily mean that they are "very disappointed". You're reading your data with your own biases to justify your own feelings.
Also: your survey results are now:
Bad - 12%
Good - 64%
So and so - 24.9%
Looks like a successful xpac to me. Blizz can't please everyone. If you're really disappointed, stop playing and do something you enjoy.
DUDE you already made a post to it and now lets get straight. Warrior and Druid had by far the hardest nerf of all classes but at the same time not having the best classic/basic set:(belongs to mage and rogue) now you want to nerf classes that where just nerfed hard and a class that had problems standing in the spotlight for a long time. I guess you like another class more and you want that class to succeed- i understand. I felt the same way for warrior but i understood that all classes are going to be in the spotlight for some time like paladin, druid and hunter was for the last year. So nerfing those classes again would be a huge problem. Anyway why complaints in fhe first week - the meta is settled in about a week and rifined tweeks are in 2 weeks and perhaps another deck will be out by then.
The problem with this thread is that you add nothing to the conversation of deckbuilding or card discussion. Sure everyone hates bomb warrior and it makes you have to build a deck to counter it.
I don't think that's a huge issue. Each deck is there to keep others in check.
The funniest thing is that you have nothing better to do than to poor salt on a website that everyone visits to actually play the game.
Do you go to other websites and post about how much you hate their stuff?
I'll bet you wake up each morning and look outside and say "my life sucks, I should just stay in bed."
So far so good... I'm not winning much right now, but I'm not hating the games I play either. I think this expansion successfully shook up the meta, which is ultimately what every expansion should strive for.
I play wild and I'm seeing the effects even in wild. Some new key cards are breathing new life into previously low-tier archetypes.
I'm also excited to see what the adventure brings. The possibility of specialized hero powers has piqued my interest and seems like a fresh take on solo content. Especially after Rhastakan, which was a let down for me... it was an unnecessary, over-powered version of dungeon run.

One of my favorite new decks to play with (off ladder... I'm not the best with it, but it's so much fun)
Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
I am fine with it, definetly better than the last broken year.

Why, because he said the truth?
Bomb Warrior is super annoying to play against. If there was no that deck, meta would be quite good actually.

I am happier with the state of the game now than prior to ROS.
But I am really disappointed that - again - it appears 2 or 3 decks dominate and there is not as much diversity as there should be.
Reignited my love for and fun with arena
Maybe warrior need some minor adjusts.

i dont like it, winning or loosing just by random dont makes fun to me. (like turn 8 jepetto turn 9 dead).
the power level of some cards is way to high, also some synergies are way to strong
I'm happy with it, i do miss some of the early game AoE, but without keleseth and Odd paladin i'm a happy camper
So which is the mechanic you wanted them to bring back?

better than the last couple expansions that's for sure. no more baku or genn decks. mechathun has a counter. everything is in good place imo

Other than this bullshit bomb warrior, I like it really.

Just sayin. LOL.
So far I'm enjoying a fresh meta that isn't full of the same OP cards we had for almost two years.
If you think the game is boring now? Just wait a couple months when things have settled and you'll appreciate real boredom.
