Firstly, I'm not super pro or amazing at this game. Very casual. Maybe been playing too much with this release.
Anyway, I toyed around with a few deck ideas, and they all saw me bounce around the bottom of the ladder. 20 to 18, then back again, rinse and repeat. That's how most my first day of RoS felt. Then, I versed an absolutely stellar druid deck. I was playing spell hunter, and was playing alright, but this other fella was just 2 steps ahead the whole game. Got chatting with him about the deck concepts, then went and ran my own spin on it (after trying some of the stuff previously, but not crafting the key cards: Wispering Woodsand Crystalsong Portaletc.).
Wow. What a deck. I raced from rank 19 to 13 without a single loss. After that, struggled and made it down to 10. Didn't stop there, I'm now at rank 6. Previously, my best had been 8. That said, now I'm winning as much as I'm losing. Finding myself in a lot of control matchups and having some bad draws are my excuses, but I understand people are much better players on this rung.
I'm finding the deck running a whole lot like odd pally did about a year ago (don't judge me, it was my first serious deck). Fill the board up as quick as possible, pump the minions, and win. Boardwipes were the biggest threat to odd pally, same as with token druid. That said, I feel token druid can pump out a big board much faster. Anyone else tried this type of deck out yet? I seriously think it will be one of the tier 1 decks, along with heavy control bomb warrior.
This is very similar to my take on Druid, except I play Mountain Giants, the 3 mana draw card gain armor, and hench clan hogsteed. The second best winrate from the decks I tried yesterday.

Ah nice. I can see the appeal with the Mountain Giant. Seems like it would have a bittersweet relationship with Crystalsong Portal.
Out of curiosity, what was the best deck type you trialled?
OP, you've got some great ideas there. Token Druid has always been one of my fav decks in the game. I've been messing around with it since RoS launched and I've had pretty good success with mine although I will say that mine is not as refined as your list. I am going to shamelessly steal / netdeck a few of your ideas.
First is that I completely misread Crystalsong Portal and thought you could only keep all 3 minions if your DECK had no minions, I didn't know it was only for your hand. Opps. That's a huge difference!
I'm not sure about the Rats, 2 mana for a 1/1 seems steep for me and a tempo loss. I've been loving Scarab Eggs and may also chuck in a Knife Juggler as well.
Token Druid is all about the board (baby) but I don't think it's the new Odd Pally. Odd Pally could always reload because of the hero power so you could play a little more carelessly and could always come back but Token Druid has a finite number of threats (even though it has a lot more now thanks to Dreamway Guardians and Forest's Aid) so you really need to think a little more about when to go all in and when to hold back.
Anyhoo, good work on the list and thanks for the ideas!

No worries. It's running pretty well. Reasoning for the rat lies in the hand. You can play a (terrible) 2 drop and replace it's spot in your hand for, possibly, something handy. This helps Wispering Woods be the best turn 4 bomb it can be. The lackey battlecry which transforms a minion into a 1-cost higher minion (probably the least helpful one for this deck) can be slapped straight onto EVIL Cable Rat for a likely 3/3, while the other lackey's abilities can be rather helpful through the game while giving an extra body.
Token Druid is clearly powerful, especially in the early days of meta.
I haven't personally played it this season , after the rotation, but I had climbed with Mech Hunter, killing Rogues and Warriors like crazy till I reached rank 1 and then faced 2 Token Druids that wiped the floor with my face XD, I lost on turn 6-7 in both matches. Back to rank2.
That being said, I think that this deck is heavily dependent on drawing the correct cards, as it doesn't have enough card draw on its own.
If decks like Control/Fatigue Warrior, Control Shaman, Even Control/Mech Paladin , become more popular, Token Druid is going to struggle.
What do you think about running nourish or more draw? I feel like it has synergy with the new 2 drop legendary. I’ve been messing around with versions but always have trouble with draw.
I've been playing a Weenie Warlock deck I cam up with that seems to be dominating at ranks 5-3 so far. The only realy problem matchups I've had so far seem to be Bomb Warlock (which every noob and his netdecking mother seem to be playing half the time).
But WeenieLock definitely feels the closest to Dude Paladin that I've come across. It has great board fills and rinse and repeats.
Isn't this the exact same deck as the hsreplay meta tier deck?
According to the recent news post, yes. Exacto-freakean-lutely. As I said at the start, I got the idea from another bloke who smashed me. The fact my deck ended up exactly the same as the one on that site is pretty funny. Hearthpwn is the only Hearthstone site (occasionally Reddit) that I visit.
It's cool seeing the various setups. For a while I had a silencing minion in place of swipe. Found him occasionally tricked out or sitting in my hand with Crystal Song. I've also swiped face a few times simply to push lethal.
As long as Warrior is one of the more popular decks, this deck will have a ceiling.
Someone made a big deal out of hitting top 10 legend with a similar deck, but that was fairly meaningless, as the player started at around Legend #100. The meta gets weird up that high, because people are trying to counter a small number of players.
I tried to slog up the rank 5-L ladder with the standard Vargoth Token Druid, and I just smashed my face into the brickwall that is control Warrior.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.

Here's my take on it.
I wanted to try fight to rank 5 (or even legend!) before sharing, but I don't know if I've got the fortitude to go that far!

Missing lethal since June 2015.

Yes
I like the idea.
But however powerful, i doubt it is as consistent as Odd Paladin: Token Druid is entirely dependant on their cards.
But i am tempted now.
Isn't this the exact same deck as the hsreplay meta tier deck?
Why not run Sea Giant instead of Mountain Giant since the idea is to flood the board anyway?

I've been having lots of fun with my token/aggro druid

This the deck I've been having my wicked ways.

this is my version of token druid. it's kinda different by yours. but i obtainted good results at ranks 5-3.

i tried a version with treants with mediocre success, but i didnt have the crystalsong portals and i think those are the main powerhouses of the deck

Yes, and he posted it here AFTER climbing from rank 18 all the way to rank 6. So, he was using it before it showed up on hsreplay.
week one of the expansion. tmrw it's Carpet Zoolock that is the new Odd Pali.
