Sad that it has come to this but the newest expansion did not even bring 5 minutes of fun with it. The rotation seemed like it might be a good thing, finally Odd and Even decks are going to be taken behind the shed and be shot and new and fun cards seem to be coming to Standard. Except the new cards that came were all clearly designed for one deck in mind - Blizzard foolishly printed cards for each class that support only one archetype - Thief for rogue, Bomb for Warrior etc. This means upon arrival, the meta has already been set and within 30 minutes of playing the new Standard, you realise you're just facing the same 3-4 decks in a row, all just copy pasted from the same place online.
"Well how about you give Wild a go?" My brain told me. Well I didn't even have to think about switching to wild because with the release of the new Legendary before the expansion came out, it was clear Big Priest was just going to get worse, not to mention all the other resurrect cards they added. Every time you go to play in Wild, you pray it is not big priest and if it is, you concede turn 4 when they play Barnes or try to desperately kill them before turn 6 if they don't have Barnes.
Ok, ladder is clearly not for your taste right now, perhaps you go play Casual to test out some ideas you have wiith the new cards... Oh look, in casual I am being queued up against Odd Paladins and Big Priests again, just like on wild ladder. Amazing.
In conclusion, I think Blizzard are too far gone off the road. They can't nerf Big Priest anymore, too many cards need to be nerfed and it won't matter in the end anyway if you change them by 1 mana, their deck is built around stalling anyway. This means wild is unplayable for anyone slightly control oriented. I don't think the blame is only on Blizzard. The blame also lies on sites like this and others, who advertise the highest win % decks around front and center, which leads to everyone playing the same decks that are dominating the meta.
You're an idiot. First time in a long time the game is fresh, no carry over decks, every class viable and currently playing at legend.

Starting off any reply with a direct insult is hardly a good way to make any point regardless of whether it is correct or not. Nobody is going to take someone seriously if they talk like that. Try positing a suggestion more politely next time...
This expansion is the most fun I've had in Hearthstone, to date.
I am thankful to see the odd archetype die out of standard.
I am thankful to not face swarms of braindead Baku Paladins.
I am thankful to not see armor hoarding 20 minute Warrior matches. I have a job and a kid; I don't have time for that bullshit.
I am thankful to see Guldan and Jaina die out of standard.
I am thankful to not see Mecha'Thun and Togwaggle Druids. See again my comments on my time.
Everything is fresh, and fun. Nothing feels overpowered. Rogue is finally good in standard again. Hunters feel a little more balanced. Everyone is exploring the new deck building options and cards. This is a fun time.
I'm sorry that you aren't having a good time with the game. It sounds like maybe you need a break from it, or maybe it's time to walk away from it for good.
This post is nonsense. Message received: you lost a couple games with your homebrew (which I'm sure was cool and fun) to day 1 netdecks that will disappear in two weeks max. Your "etc." just means that you only have those two decks in mind and want to appear to have a more general point, which you don't. Without even getting into my own opinions on this expansion, you have nothing even resembling a coherent point here.
this.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
Really? I've just homebewed a ridiculous deck using a bunch of cards from the new expansion and my first couple of games with it have had me giggling like a schoolgirl at the mad Johnny things it does.
I've built a few other fun decks too (Yes, alright, and Bomb Warrior, but I've barely played it).My only complaint is the lack of new neutral dragons, but seeing as I have two viable Dragon decks without them I guess I can make do.
On twitch ther was 213k not 150k and that is amazing!
The game just came to life!
Playing since 2014 and this is one of The fun I had in years.
Great expansion blizzatd.
TY
Exactly, and 200+k viewers, even in a new expansion launch day is huge for any game and HS is 5 years old! Also big numbers of viewers continue to be a thing as we speak. The new exp and rotation is a success, no doubt. I'm playing since 2014 too.
13.9K viewers, magic the gathering at 13k. This guy was correct game is falling fast. It has been a month since release, usually would have double or triple the viewers at this point in time in prevous years.
I don't get what people are complaining about Wild? I've been playing WIld for the past 2 weeks and I barely run into any Big Priest decks and when I do, they aren't too bad to deal with it. I'm climbing with Control Big Spell Mage and I can deal with those decks half the time.
That's a lotta text for an obvious salt thread post.
This is just the first in what was called a "story told through the year of the dragon" with each set and it's solo content telling a full Warcraft like story.

Hi i'm Tyler and I play hearthstone and watch anime.
Sometimes i make cards. I'd like to do that for a career one day if ever possible.
Quite the text wall for a dying game. I have been enjoying the meta and the overall direction of the content since it launched. Last week's brawl was spot on, and they have loosened the coffers on the rewards aspect as well. Here's hoping for more of the same.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

I'm waiting for PvE. PvP is not enjoyable, same decks over and over. New expansion feels already old.

They need to implement "declare blockers" already and stop agreeing with the "amg the games are going to be so long then" which is not factual.

Guys this thread is a month old...
And you post on it still, lol. But I should thank you for bringing these salty individuals comments to my attention. Gives me something to laugh at.
