Sad that it has come to this but the newest expansion did not even bring 5 minutes of fun with it. The rotation seemed like it might be a good thing, finally Odd and Even decks are going to be taken behind the shed and be shot and new and fun cards seem to be coming to Standard. Except the new cards that came were all clearly designed for one deck in mind - Blizzard foolishly printed cards for each class that support only one archetype - Thief for rogue, Bomb for Warrior etc. This means upon arrival, the meta has already been set and within 30 minutes of playing the new Standard, you realise you're just facing the same 3-4 decks in a row, all just copy pasted from the same place online.
"Well how about you give Wild a go?" My brain told me. Well I didn't even have to think about switching to wild because with the release of the new Legendary before the expansion came out, it was clear Big Priest was just going to get worse, not to mention all the other resurrect cards they added. Every time you go to play in Wild, you pray it is not big priest and if it is, you concede turn 4 when they play Barnes or try to desperately kill them before turn 6 if they don't have Barnes.
Ok, ladder is clearly not for your taste right now, perhaps you go play Casual to test out some ideas you have wiith the new cards... Oh look, in casual I am being queued up against Odd Paladins and Big Priests again, just like on wild ladder. Amazing.
In conclusion, I think Blizzard are too far gone off the road. They can't nerf Big Priest anymore, too many cards need to be nerfed and it won't matter in the end anyway if you change them by 1 mana, their deck is built around stalling anyway. This means wild is unplayable for anyone slightly control oriented. I don't think the blame is only on Blizzard. The blame also lies on sites like this and others, who advertise the highest win % decks around front and center, which leads to everyone playing the same decks that are dominating the meta.
150k on new expansion day. Come back in 2 weeks and see how many viewers will still be there :D
Obviously the viewers on twitch will be higher in expansion. Even I checked it out and I have nothing to do with twitch, ever. You're acting like those viewers not being there in a couple of weeks means those players have also stopped playing.
Which is just stupid.
OP, if you're not having fun, leave. Either take a break or do something different. That's what I do and what normal, rational people would do.
Attention seeking cretins seeking validation for their incessant moaning go on to fan sites and relentlessly complain about a game, yet carry on playing and moaning about it. They're either in a temporary state of frustration and only choose to vent, not actually meaning most of what they say or intellectually challenged individuals who can't think of anything else constructive to do with their time except play a game they hate and complain about it.
This post is nonsense. Message received: you lost a couple games with your homebrew (which I'm sure was cool and fun) to day 1 netdecks that will disappear in two weeks max. Your "etc." just means that you only have those two decks in mind and want to appear to have a more general point, which you don't. Without even getting into my own opinions on this expansion, you have nothing even resembling a coherent point here.
It's just your negative perspective on things dude, I love building decks, having them work, tweaking them.
What do you spect from an online game that has a big audience playing it? To remain undiscovered?
The thing is, you are blaming Blizzard when they just make the game, and the game by itself is not the problem, it is the way data is used to bring power to the players who want to netdeck, and that's fucking cool, not everyone enjoys building decks and being smashed because they didn't tech in correctly or checked out what people is playing to adjust, so data is needed.
And just so you know, this happens everywhere, not just online, you should be thankful this happens as it means a better future for most people when you traslate data interpretation into real world use, what I find sad is that you should be exciting because we can track data THAT FAST and enjoy the ride in the game to try to climb without the data and on your terms, instead of complaining about it.
You can of course just complain to vent off and leave it at that, but that's not gonna help while the other might.
Oh and Priest isn't really the issue, it is the lack of imagination, I have no problem with Priest in wild, sure I do lose games, but once you understand it's a fair match if you like control, I don't really do aggro but people seem to agree that works as well.
Wish you the best bro, hope you find something fun to do instead of trying to find fun in a game you no longer enjoy.
Been thoroughly enjoying how much the expansion has mixed up decks, archetypes are no where near set and can still be changed. I think most lists aren't optimized at all yet.
we're all seeing the same decks because everyone is trying what they're seeing on Youtube and this site. There's plenty of decks to try you haven't probably seen yet. Have you faced a Dragon mage? How about a Mech Hunter? Bet you haven't seen a Recruit Warrior either! Just give it at least a week and then make a forum.

This. There's plenty of time for a few peolle to come up with something completely unexpected and tear it up. There will be loads of interactions and combos that haven't been considered yet because there's been such a huge shake up and everyone is naturally immediately shooting for the obvious builds.
Don't recall really seeing good or innovative deck builders complaining like this. It's usually people who aren't as good as they think they are, making bad decks and getting rolled over, leading to frustration and resentment. There will be cards people haven't really tight of using or in a way that hadn't been considered that will built into new decks.
It's not really right to base the whole expansion's meta on the first 24 hours of play. Greedy decks thrive as the more refined lists aren't there yet. It's a competition to see who can grind the game the most. People don't tend to play aggro because it's a very linear strategy and they want to try out the new sinergies and archetypes (like bomb warrior and thief rogue). Also, the archetype that Blizzard seeds through the expansion are very prevalent at the start because they are the obvious choices and the things that people wanted to build through the spoiler season. The less obvious, more complex archetype and decks tend to flourish over time as people get a feel for the cards in the expansion. Certainly the start of the year is a time when a lot of people come back to the game and the twitch viewership surges, we can't know if the numbers will stay high or drop down. We just have to wait and see what happens.
Good God, it's only been a day since the rotation/expansion launch and the Doomsayers are already out here screaming "THE END IS COMING!"
RoS contains so many interesting cards, which will lead to numerous deck possibilities. Saying the meta is "set" after 1 day is just plain alarmist and frankly, stupid. Bomb Warrior is "in" right now (I'm playing it myself mostly because I main this class) but players will find ways to counter it, which will inevitably shape the meta. HS is far from dead.
For now, I find this meta better than the previous one. Sure Rogue is strong, Shaman is having fun with murlocs, Bomb Warrior is thriving and token druid is tier 1. BUT, All the decks can be countered, we have enough tech cards to find the proper response...that's what we lacked pre-rotation. There doesn't seem to be auto-concede matchups for now...we'll see. I am losing more than I am winning right now but I am really having FUN.

Queue the sad violin music. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
You thought this was it didn't you? It's not.
To each their own. Having a great time myself. Think this has been my favorite rotation ever. So many viable decks.
ok...I'll take your word for it and just uninstall. Goodnight
“Dying game” he says, while hearthstone has had ~150k viewers on twitch, which is VERY high for a “dying game.” Really makes you think. 🤔

I play rogue so having a good time.
Got about 5 or 6 new decks, although some are just newer versions of old ones. still though, having a good time.
I'm not looking forward to big priest in wild though. glad I'm playing standard for a little bit.
