hey. I started to play Hs when the boomship project was released.. I was a main spell hunter player (becouse i never had enough resources to play any other archetype). And now they just cut 3 whole expansions away. Why are they doing this? I mean... I understand why but it feels like they have totally forgotten about the poor f2p player.... I don’t wanna (can’t) pre purchase anything (for >50€!!!). And what am I supposed to do now? Even if I destroy all my wild cards I think I would only have like 2k dust... and those daily quests where you earn packs don’t help me a lot. And the only thing I can do is following: waiting 1 month until there is something like a meta. Disenchant all my wild cards to build a shit deck with 1 legendary.... that’s not nice. So please blizzard. Help me. Make the disenchantment costs a bit higher or something....
1st of all, u can still use the Spell Hunter in wild (altho u might need to get some good wild spells)
Secondly, download HearthArena and try to make your way into getting more than 3 wins on avg (getting 3 wins will get u a pack and 50+ gold most of the time and getting 7 will earn u at least a pack and 150 gold)
Lastly, u dont have to get a tier 1 deck to climb to at least rank 10, u can have fun and try to make cards and archtypes from the cards u have
just play wild, bro. then you get to use all your old cards.
I stopped dusting old cards this year as wild is great. I like to play both formats as constructed is like a limited version where I must come up with the newest ideas, but I can always go back to wild and play older decks there too.
if you play both game modes you get the best of both worlds.
The only money I have ever spent on this game was the original adventures. I still manage to keep up with standard without dusting anything in my collection. You have to be diligent about grinding out your daily quests and saving up your gold close to rotation. This time around I was able to purchase 30 packs with gold saved up on release day.
Also have you thought about crafting the silence priest deck? I don't know how good it is but it is super cheap. I don't think it even runs any epics only rares an commons.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
i suggest you to craft a card in classic set that everybody use in all deck, try invest to classic card (legendary card/epic card) while you play in wild, wild is really fun but of course if you just play the game from boomsday you dont have many cards like other player.
or try to play arena (this is hard, if you want to profit you must win at least 5 games). Or just wait until new deck meta that really cheap, every year or expansion cheap meta deck like hunter/zoo is very good.
Im f2p too, and one think i only make 2/3 deck and that deck i play until new expansion came out, i dont make deck to laddering to legendary rank, at least rank 10++, legend is a bonus for me
I'd advise all the F2Ps to begin exploiting the "Play a Friend" quest. This site has a thread for folks who want to trade their PaF quests - there have been five or six iterations, and each time the thread has had over 50K people trying to give you 80 gold. The more friends you have, the more PaF requests you'll receive - I have about three dozen friends I've met at FSGs, and I get two or three PaF requests each week. The math is pretty simple = 160-240 gold each week is about 100 free packs each year. You'll get about 200 each year from laddering and dailies, and 50 from TBs. They give away packs year-round for choosing champions, participating in "events", or simply logging in when a new set drops.
1) Do your dailies - they are worth a minimum of 180 packs per year (60 per expansion is a solid foundation) 2) Do the weekly tavern brawls - they're also netting you ~50 classic packs per year which is critical if you don't have a foundation there; if you do, it's a good source of spare dust 3) Set reasonable goals - you aren't going to rule the ladder and unless you are really good at the game, hitting legendary is going to be tough (it can absolutely be done and there are guides on doing it fully as a F2P, but it might not be the experience you are looking for) 4) Have fun! Unless you are super-competitive and need to feel like you're maintaining a high level of play (in which case F2P likely isn't for you), there are tons of ways to have fun with this game with a limited card base. It's all about setting the right kinds of goals and working within that framework.
Dude, I play with Wizabang and I went from 13 to 9 quite easily!
I got a golden whizbang from my pre order for boomsday. I was pretty stoked, but ended up dusting him to craft things I needed more at the time.
it's a really cool card, but didn't appeal to me all that much. maybe one day I will be more into the idea of it and craft it again though. is a really cool concept.
Stop whining. I am F2P and doing fine. Go Legend when I want to. Best was Legend Rank 4. So there is no limit to what you can achieve with F2P. Of course, I cannot always play all the expensive control decks, but I am F2P, I cannot really expect that.

I dont get when f2p always complaint. Its us paying players that keeps this game alive. Be happy you can play it for free. No hard feelings:)

Because you cant make money off F2P players
If they didn't pull out old expansion regularly we would all just be playing wild. Think that's f2p friendly? Or fair to new players?
You can't milk f2p money
*Sizzling*

It all adds up . . .
lol "just play wild with your old deck"
hahaha nice advice, that's like trying to fight the doom guy with a spoon
Those who are given more in life, must not cling to it, but risk it all at every moment!

play wild althouh i dont recommend spell hunter as a good wild deck u probably can hit rank 5
but there is some good budget f2p decks in both wild and standard
If you dont like cards rotating, just play wild. That is basically why it exists. I love the format
