Another round: this time with Pirate/Thief Rogue and Dragon MR Paladin. The Rogue could need some early game punch but at turn 3 onwards it's so much Tempo, you're almost guaranteed to claim the board. Oh, and Heistbaron Togwaggle smells broken, especially when coupled with Preparation (0 mana Wondrous Wand, anyone?) - on the other hand, the Paladin feels quite refreshing and although it plays out somewhat similar to Dragon Warrior I still like it just because there is Minibot 2.0 (Cathedral Gargoyle, probably the BEST early taunt for all the aggro decks currently running rampant)
I somewhat question the viability of bomb warrior, but I haven't played it myself. Every game I play against them they're shuffling bombs and i'm winning the board and hitting their face and they die before bombs begin to matter.
playing spellheavy/deathrattle Priest the whole day with 2 x mountain giants and 2 x Grave horror + some other taunts and Catrina, archmage, unseen saboteur, and hecklebot
Pretty fun and i actually didnt loose a single game vs bomb warrior ;)
Spent about an hour trying to get resto druid to work. I don't think it is possible. The synergies are too weak, too hard to activate, too contradictory (heal early for stag, save it for Lucentbark), and too easy to counter. Disappointed but not surprised.

It needs to be refined. I've had success (small sample size) with a deck that is control that occasionally shuffles in bombs. I don't think the all-bombs approach is the correct way. You need a deck that can last 15-20 turns so the bombs can be drawn, so it should be control oriented.
The main problem with the expansion is NOT Bomb Warrior, it is Thief Rogue. I just played a guy that shuffled 11 copies of Tess back into his deck. At that point you literally cannot win, unless you have an inevitable wincon deck. It is just miserable to play against.
My first impression is that Lackeys are extremely overrated, and Tess Rogue doesn't even need Espionage/Cutlass/weapon buffs anymore, it's just much better as a tempo deck because Underbelly Fence is broken.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.

Was that against me? (SilentStorm) I was playing in Casual against a Bomb/Control Warrior where I won in fatigue with 13 Tess's.

i was saying this as soon as the cards were revealed. Thief rogue will be the new kingsbane/quest rogue kind of deck. control can't beat it and if it highrolls neither can aggro. it can be put in check by ooze and aggro though, I think.

yeah, I could see it as a mini win condition for control warrior, but I don't think this "tempo bomb" deck is good at all.
Playing a control Warlock with Hakkar and Rafaam in there to counter bombs since I've been playing almost nothing but bomb Warrior around rank 9-8. Also running into secret paladin, but board clear stuff is taking care of those decks pretty easily. My impressions are that I'm seeing a ton of bombs and also having a good time turning those bombs into legendary minions, haha.
n regards, to rafaam, I noticed you have to play him at the time because I played him too early and got screwed over. But at the right time, you often end up finishing off the game especially if you get lucky and one of the legendaries is princess talanji.
Definitely agree with this. Was playing against a bomb warrior, got too exited and played Raf in order to morph the bombs in my deck into legendary monsters
It didn't quite go to plan, I totally disregarded how expensive they tend to be and ended up with a ton of stuff that could only be played once per turn.
Great fun and could work well with the discover 5 cards legendary at the end of a game but I've no clue if he'll be consistent I messed about a fair bit with warlock but I'm a terrible deck builder and I couldn't get anything working. After 9 straight losses I gave up haha.
Ended up playing a bomb warrior deck which is very different to the deck I've noticed Kripp put up (before I get attacked for daring to get ideas off far better deck builders than I) and has some degree of success with it.
Played pretty much for 6-7 hours straight which I've never come close to. Think it's great so far. Few other things I noticed -
Murloc shaman seems really strong. If you can't get control of the board quickly, it can get ugly really fast. Think the quickest I lost was turn 5. Token druid also escalated very quickly in the one game I played against it.
Bonb warrior is VERY popular. Came across that a lot. Comfortably more than anything else. Priest could be frustrating, all the taunts and res made me bang a ton of removals in for the next game, only to get absolutely creamed vs Murloc shaman haha.
There was a mech deathrattle sort of hunter which eventually just had too much for me and seemed a decent deck.
Overall, game feels totally different to play, something people have been crying for but it's a shame people are already kicking off about cards/decks they hate.
Mech Hunter. I think people don't realize the value of Oblivitron. Dropping Zuljin on turn 10 is usually game over unless your opponent has beaten you to it.
I'm 8-1 at rank 5 with it. Mostly Warriors and other hunters. Nothing else lasts more than 8 turns so don't know much about the other decks.
It seems these 2 Heroes are the best at generating value. Maybe I just haven't seen enough Rogue yet.
Played whizbang, really liked big Warrior and the Muckmorpher deck making him morph in high vlalue target lie Ysera, living fountain or Alakir, since cards that upgrade every turn upgrade every player's turn if you keep Hagatha's steam in the first hand it 's n 8 damage AOE by the time you reach turn 5. it's ridicolous and you still have access to a hero card.

So. Much. Aggro. Even in casual people play aggro. This is probably my least favorite first day.
Have not played enough games to determine anything besides "Vargoth out of dimensional ripper is one spicy meatball"

FWIW went Rank 12 to 5 with Bomb warrior then Tempo Rogue (the good burgle cards, the good pirate cards, and the good lackey cards).
Tempo Rogue actually carried me from 7 to 5. Bomb Warrior mirrors weren’t fun.
Is Tog worth crafting? What are the Rouge lists?
“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.”
I've been playing all day and i've lost one match to bomb warrior. Just play a faster deck.
Dazzle and dominate your foes as the Jewelcrafter!

The new Hunter weapon hurts my face.

I played against a couple of secret pally today. Completely understandable the divine favor HoF. Imagine if that was on standard ?

The only bombs I see going off are the ones I put on the board. Kaboom Bot Spider Bomb Goblin Bomb
