Perhaps but can't make them all amazing. Of course hes the guardian now.
there aren't any guardians in wow now. medivh was the last one. after what happened to medivh, none of the council trusted any one person with so much power. khadgar is just a naturally power mage.
No matter what effect is, It is just bad to see 2 mana 2-2 body for this character. Medivh has Atiesh which is same weapon as khadgar's.
Sorry for bad English ^^
I'd rather have a weak body with a very powerful effect I want to use, not a strong body I will never want to play because it's too expensive to combo with.
I don't get the reasoning behind "big stats is good for important characters" where does that even come from and why care about it ??
Anyway you got Power of Creation with Kadghar visual, 8 mana generate 12 mana worth of stats, omg BIG, so cool. But I guess important characters must be MINIONS or else it's the end of the world.
Stop crying now, this card is much better as 2 mana 2/2 than 8 mana 7/7, better chances to see play and be actually powerful as the character behind it, instead of a dead unplayable card.
It's purpose is as a cheap combo card, not a standalone durable or high damage vanilla minion.
I mean, Its purpose shouldn't be cheap combo. This expansion bad guys attacking to dalaran which Khadgar created this city with a huge magic. You wouldn't react same if lich king 2 mana 2-2 body.

Prince Keleseth is a boss in WoW, considered reasonably tough in terms of lore (if not in practice), but no one complained about his 2/2 body.
In WoW, Khadgar spends most of his time organizing and marshaling Alliance forces; he participates in relatively few actual fights. I think the 2/2 body is pretty reasonable for someone who is primarily a Mage and a diplomat.

Would actually be a 5/5 card if he could equip Atiesh as well
Tbh that's kind of a good point.
Behold! Khadgar! One of the most accomplished mages in the history of Azeroth!!!
2 mana 2/2 *fart*
atiesh with khadgar is way ttooinsane. the card is pretty good already
Great card but yeah, he deserves better.
His effect is the power, 2/2 is nothing, but combined with other cards he is one of the most powerful cards of the expansion.
I absolutely agree. They could just made up another character for this effect. And leave Khadgar for another expansion if necessary.
It definately hurts to know that Khadgar can die to an average murloc.
Welcome to the Varian Wrynn train, passengers: me.
I know a 2/2 body is paper-thin, but I like that you can combo him with a lot of cards in the same turn since he only costs 2.

But it's totally okay that deathwing dies to a snail or a murloc. Yeah makes total sense, good rant.

Being a mage was never about raw power or resilience, rather more about cunning and wisdom, so i think the 2/2 body fits him pretty well actually.
Khadgar is a shitty wizard, 2 mana 2/2 sounds fine for him.
Actually, his effect is probably a bit too strong for him.
