Honestly, this long period of a time awaiting been devastating for me, I'm not feeling hyped at all after all of this, just felling angry and not myself.
Additionally streamers who got to play, kripp etc. was disgustingly unfair move by Blizzard. Revealing things is one thing, let someone play/explore content nobody else could for marketing purposes is whole another thing.
p.s. I got my 50 pre-order packs, and right now it feels like big mistake, also overpriced as hell.
You do realize this is like the shortest they have ever done from starting reveal to release, right? This is by far the best. While I do agree letting streamers play early was a bit of a killjoy for me, and let down some deckbuilding ideas that I love for the beginning of each expansion, but tbh it’s my own fault for watching it. It changes nothing if you just didn’t watch.
This reveal season I'm pretty sure is the second shortest in the history of the game (with the only shorter one being LoE), only being three weeks from the first reveal of cards. For me, this reveal season felt like it went by too quickly and I often got behind on card reveals since it felt a bit rushed. I feel like part of the reason why it feels extra long is because of the state of the meta being pretty much the same thing since the launch of Witchwood with only some minor changes.
As for the whole letting streamers prerelease, this personally did not bother me but I understand why one might not like it. I'm used to pre-release events for magic and so either I am desensitized about having people play with the cards before I am or it just never personally bothered me to begin with.
Since you already preordered, I hope you enjoy the cards once you start playing because I personally don't view it overpriced because the preorder deals are the same they did for Boomsday, which I felt was good for the most part.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
"they showcased the new cards by letting a few select streamers play them. THIS IS SOMEHOW A PERSONAL ATTACK AGAINST ME AND I GET EXTREMELY UPSET WHEN I'M NOT THE CENTER OF ATTENTION"
+ this is actually the shortest time between reveal to release ever. Wasn't even a full week. I remember when we had 2 weeks between the final reveal and the expansion release
I feel that this was one of the shortest periods between announcement and release.
I loved the streams of people who got to play because it helped shorten the wait for me until release, but I understand this is different for every person.
Can't wait for the release tomorrow. I haven't been this excited since Knights of the Frozen Throne/Un'Goro.
It seems to me that Blizzard cant win. If the release is to long, people complain, if the release is fast, people complain. But I agree letting streamers play cards we cant is a bad move on Blizzards part.
I kind of see your point, honestly I would rather return to the time of no pre-release, and no streamer day, but what can you do? (Even if it meant 2 weeks of reveal season). This is the way it is going, and if anyone at Blizzard asks me, I would tell them that that's how I feel, but w/e
I also feel an an high hype. the new cards seems fun, but i really cannot wait to see so many archetypes (almost every single one) not being available in stardard. finally! i had enough of Genn, Jaina, Rexxar, all the cobolds crazy OP cards i don't want to list right now... But most of all i had enough of baku. No more 70 hp warrior, odd pally no more, no more 2 attack rogues, no more 2 hp ping for Mage.
I think they should have done the hall of fame rotation one month ago. Since then everytime i saw an odd/even deck (meaning 60-70% of the decks, the other 40% where priest and hunter) I felt like stop playing and waiting until the rotation hits. Not the best of feeling. Anyway in 23 hours the baku era is over for good in stardard, so who cares right now.
remember when we had to wait like a month after the reveals were done to play with the new cards? i remember. i ALSO remember there are other games to play in the mean time.
Come on bro. You simply feel like it’s taking forever because you’re spending all of your time waiting for the expansion, thinking about the expansion.
I suggest that you do something else, and voila, all of the sudden it will pop up and you will be able to fucking play. Be patient damn it. Ridiculous. “Unfair”... Dude. OBVIOUSLY, they are going to market themselves through streamers. I think somebody needs a reality check. Understand how the world works and embrace it. We’re not in kindergarten anymore.

Man, nothing personal but here is where you got the wrong idea. The part with center of attention is just dumb cuz let's remember who we are: We are players, we are all equal and the fact that streamers got to play is not fair, why? here we go
1. I don't say is bad, is not 100% fair( I want to make this clear)
2. The fact that streamers got to play the xpac in advance not only that made obvious the fact that blizz want to increase the pre purchase amount, it also lowered the amount of hype.( "You are retarded man, what is wrong if they want to increase the amount of ppl that buy the pre purchase", well let me tell you, there is nothing wrong with it, but blizzard used to do it differently, maybe increase the pre purchases by making the expansion much more better and versatile? or just give some nice guys( that I respect very much) the opportunity to play the xpac so ppl would get a taste of it and just spend money without thinking twice that the amount of players that played at that time was around 12, and things may come out different when xpac hits. We all have to admit it, in the first weeks the ladder will be filled with retarded aggro and silence priest having a turn 9 board on turn 5. And when they will realize that the decks they needed to have fun costs 2000 dust and not 12000.
3. Very fast reveal...... yea ok but, I think you forgot the times when we were making threads about a picture of a card and wondered what it could be, we had days and days to think about cards and digest them slowly. Where is the mystery that we used to get, when we could not wait for that card to release, when we were on hearthpwn and 1 min after the reveal we would spam f5 so we could see the card.
I don't say that Hs got worse or Blizz did a bad thing by giving the streamers this chance, but I expected something else from blizz, maybe is just me and my mistake alone, if that is so I am sorry, I wish you all reading this a great and lovely day and can't wait for tomorrow !!!!!!

Naxxramas was announced in the middle of April, 2014 - it didn't launch until the end of July.
RoS was announced 25 days ago, and launches in 23 hours - the OP knew when the set released when he bought the pre-purchase.
Pre-release events aren't "unfair" - if the OP had wanted to, he was free to organize his own pre-release event at home. It would have taken him a couple minutes. Apparently, he chose not to, and prefers aimlessly bitching about it.
people are never happy with what they got...this season it's too quick, last season it was too long...next season it will be too perfect...weather is too sunny or too wet....omg

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
You can still cancel your preorder by contacting Blizzard support.

Well, this can't be stuff that should upset.
But i do agree that too long between final reveal stream and actual release is not a good thing.
And streamers figuring out a proto-meta in advance is also not a good thing.
All stuff that kills a hype that they actually managed to build up.
