For those who have opened packs at Fireside Gatherings and for those who will open when the expansion comes out I am curious as to your experience getting epics? I got something like 6 Muckmorphers out of 29 epics and I think another 5 of that Priest deathrattle minion. Watching some of the streamers open their packs I saw similar results where they would get 5 or 6 of the same epic (usually a trash one). Does anyone else have this experience where they get several of one epic during the openings? This could very well be a small sample size issue, but this has happened to me during the last few expansions as well.
There is already a substantial Reddit thread about making it so you can't get duplicate epics after the first two of a card, which I think is reasonable, since the return on them is poor in terms of dust when compared with their cost. Also it seems someone broke it down and people would still have to purchase the same amount of packs to get all the legendaries so this wouldn't cut into Blizzard's profits in any substantial way. I'm also curious to hear people's thoughts on setting an epic limit.
I would strongly support an epic limit. Last expansion when I actually pre-ordered packs, I received about 5 smolderthorn lances, which was incredibly frustrating because I didn't get other epics that I wanted. Not to mention dusting epics just feels horrible.
I would be veery glad if blizzard implemented this... I didn't open my ROS packs yet, but I had a very bad experience with my Classic packs lately... I'm still missing like 5 epics, and i opened 10 duplicates of multiple bad ones.... The good classic epics were all crafted by me and not opened... It's frustrating to get the same shitty epic for the tenth time
The legendary limit is already very kind of Blizzard, and it's thematically appropriate. An epic limit would severely cut into their funds, and at that point, why not have a rare limit and a common limit, too.
It's random. When I opened my Boomsday packs I got 6 or 7 E.M.P. Operatives and during RR it was more spread out.
It sucks for you but I don't think there is a conspiracy going on. There are plenty of dudes who opens all the epics they want and don't sit with 8 duplicates.

Spot on. I dont understand why people dont get it.
It's not that kind. $59 for the expansion that is more than most videogames cost, having 3 a year. No game cost that much. They should at least limit amount of dupes you get. For that matter bundle prices should also be reduced to $20.

Agreed the legendary limit was kind, but as originally stated there would be no loss of funds or a minimal loss from setting an epic limit as well. Epics only make up around four percent of all cards received from packs as compared to commons at 74 percent and rares around 22 percent, so the comparison is not adequate. MTG Arena has done a similar thing with Rares and Mythic Rares on top of already giving people wild cards to spend when getting duplicates.

I can say this is true, in KoFT I opened 4 meat wagons with 50 pre purchase packs, and a further 4 more over the next 2 years, so I'd say that we do need an epic limit on account of me keeping 2 of them.

yup last exp i had like 6 dupes of that bad 10 mana epic out of 60 packs
I understand the frustration. After you open packs maybe reply here with your results with epics so we can collect data in this thread. Cheers!
I got three of the same epic and 3 golden Eager Underling...

Opened 51 packs, got 7 different epics (no golden).

For real. I have been playing Hearthstone for almost 4 years and I've never opened a Cabal Shadow Priest.

I assume this is trolling.
I got 4 of the mega windfury guy. Which sucks, but I guess it happens.
