Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.
Personally I have a record of 54-19 against big priest with Renolock and without Mechathun packages or whatsoever... no offence but you maybe play bad this matchup...
Reno Warlock is a big loser in the current meta. Once upon a time, it was a deck that dominated the Wild metagame, but it currently has a terrible matchup spread, losing to most of the popular archetypes. There is no real reason to play Reno Warlock over other Warlock decks since it doesn’t do anything that they can’t do better. It is also terrible in every mirror matchup.
Mecha’thun Warlock has taken the meta by storm, becoming the strongest Warlock archetype. It is extremely well-rounded, similarly to Even Warlock, but has a combo finish that makes it dominant against slower decks. The consistent Voidcaller package gives it early game shutdown ability against aggro, while its win condition can be oppressive in slower matchups. This versatility allows the Mecha’thun Warlock to perform very well against the current meta, establishing it in Tier 1.
That's the exact list I used to get Legend last month I even posted it on this site so people can see it's not a tier 4 deck if you play it well (and I'm no pro by any means, my win-rate with other decks is usually around 55%, I just play Renolock a lot), my win-rate against Big Priests was around 60% (and they accounted for most of my losses anyway, the other half was Kingsbane). I basically hard mulliganed for Sylvanas Windrunner, Emperor Thaurissan, Kazakus, Brann Bronzebeard and Zola the Gorgon every game and if I got those cards it was easy to beat them most of the time (if their Barnes pulls Ragnaros the Firelord or Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound you just concede and save yourself some time).
I think the resurrecting spells are the one that need to be banned. All they have to read is "resurrect a minion (random) you casted this game" By adding the cast condition you take away all the cheats.

Great art can never be created without great suffering.
Which is a terrible bad card for most of the decks against most of the decks. Non-control decks can`t afford to play a tech card which is only good against two decks (Big Priest and dekcs with DK Guldan) and doesn`t fit the game plan at all.
What we need is something like the old Tinkmaster Overspark back - times two!

Sure you are right when i face a loooot of big priest i use tinkmaster and really its good!! And yes it lost its popularity but its my favourite deck i feel that EVERY matchup is winnable
Good for you. I was asking, because I was and still am curious about how you beat Big Priest as a Renolock.
I play Thief Priest in wild and I have an easy time against that archtype, cuz' I use stuff like Entomb and TONS of removals. How does a Reno deck manage to through all of the resurrect spells?
Taunts, removals, kazakus, transform, sylvanas... You just need to know how to build your deck. Reno+kazakus+ 28 cards you wanna have...its all up to you to choose those 28 cards..you want combo? Go combo. You want value? Go value. You want tech? go tech. You want anti aggro? Go for it. You want almost everything? You could do that. Every season im rank 5-1 with renolock..
The "meta" if i can even call it like that atm has really changed in wild at rank 5 and down in the last couple of days. Before it was as you mentioned. I mean at least you mentioned 7+ decks. Its not like in standard you would meet 20 different decks after rank 5...
Today i have played 10 games at rank 4-5 in wild. 9 of 10 decks were OTK with Vargoth or Res Priest with Vargoth...i really hope it sorts itself out with all the cards released.
So you said there are 20+ cancer decks? You cN beat every dexk with other deck o g foul
You what mate?
Anyway, Wild is pretty cool. True, I only dick around between Ranks 20-10 most Seasons (and the same in Standard as well) and I enjoy it. I like playing Jade Druid/Pirate Warrior and Secret Paladin though.. .

Yeah, I have seen Mecha'thun Reno decks. I was talking about the one I linked.

First of all, congratulations to both of you for having great success with this archtype. I said in my previous posts, that I have never played Renolock before*, so in all of my comments I wasn't talking from first experience. I suppose I can't argue with people, who prove their high win-rates with the deck by showing me statistics.
But it's kinda hard to believe, that a list, which features a small amount of AoEs (in comparison to other control decks) can deal well with the cheesy plays from Big Priest. Both of you mentioned Sylvanas Windrunner as a viable tech option against them - believe it or not, but I have faced Big Priests, who have teched their decks against your cards. I saw Silence, Mass Dispel and even Entomb. So it's not hard to imagine how those players counter your techs and disrupt your win-condition with ease (i.e. Mass Hysteria for your huge board with Mal'Ganis).
It's true Kazakus can give you a polymorph potion, but the 5 mana can only hit one random target and the 10 mana potion... can't be played... until... turn 10. Please, don't get me wrong. I'm NOT dismissing Kazakus's powerful spells, which can be multiplied by Brann Bronzebeard, Zola the Gorgon and/or Baleful Banker. I am just pointing out how Big Priest's stupid mana cheating resurrect/summon spells can be played prior to turn 10 and overwhelm you, if you don't have an answer ready. Priest players can also fetch and multiply them with Shadow Visions and if you manage to polymorph 1 minion, they can resurrect something else with Eternal Servitude. And how do you deal with multiple spellstones in a single game? Every time I played as a Thief Priest against that deck, I had to deal with at least 3. This wasn't hard for me, since I run a lot of board wipes - Mass Hysteria, Lightbomb, Psychic Scream and Shadowreaper Anduin - but renolocks have 1 Twisting Nether, 1 Lord Godfrey (who can't grant you a full board clear, if the board state doesn't allow a domino set-up) and whatever you get from Kazakus.
And how's the current situation with Archmage Vargoth btw? That legendary forces you to deal with even more resurrect/recruit spells, which is kinda BS.
I agree with Rapidosamurai, that people can tech against this deck a bit more (by running Tinkmaster Overspark), but imho the best counter is just going for the win, i.e. including a small Mecha'thun package. You are already running Emperor Thaurissan, so 3 combo-pieces and maybe some stall won't harm the deck.
*Note - I mean, I haven't played the current Renolock deck in the competitive wild ladder. I played my own version a few months ago, but only out of nostalgia. Back then I was an active standard player, so I didn't play with the deck that much. So those games don't count.
@Kovachut I can send you some of my replays from last month if you're interested, rather than writing a full guide here lol
Also to answer your question about Archmage Vargoth, it made the deck much stronger against Control in general, I lost most of the games when they highroll with it

I don't get it.
He's complaining about wild and calling for CARD ROTATION??
Maybe I'm too stupid to understand your point, but I'm afraid I have to inform you that wild is the place where cards NEVER rotate out! :-)
That's why I'm here. I just like to play with all the cards...
I think he is part of the group of people who wants to see Wild as a rotating format too - like it will happen soon in the Arena.
No he wants the card rotation to come because he's bored of the current sets in standard. Hence why he's playing wild right now.
He's probably a troll and also worded it quite poorly though.
Did you forget that we have Salt thread? If you don't like wild, don't play it... We don't need cry-babys
i think he either troling or want to switch to standard
well he have so many synergy, but so few meta defining cards
I think that if priest stopped having good cards, I would enjoy wild more.
kingsband/odd rogues? okay, I can put up with them.
jade druid? I dont usually see very many.
even shaman? most games vs even shaman feel like a fair fight.
secret mages? annoying, but I can deal with them.
hunters? I really have 0 problems with hunters.
but priest is just the worst, I dont care how good they are, it is super annoying.
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.

I am just waiting for a Barnes nerf so big priest drops a tier in power level and wild becomes more fun and diverse again.
I propose that Barnes be banned in priest as in some Tarbenas Brawls. Barnes can only be used by the other classes except a priest.
