Yea, I’m just hoping OTK decks are contained as well. I have a feeling Holy Wrath paladin will be tier 1-2, but I’m just hoping the disruption we got is good enough to counter it
The people talking about OTK decks here, rise of shadows did get some cards that can disrupt that, they may be good, they may not be, but cards like Unseen Saboteur which could cast one of your opponents combo pieces in their hand, another card such as Hecklebot which could just straight up summon a combo piece from your opponents deck, Hecklebot seems to be pretty decent really.

Honestly? Not too much, if my assessment of the incoming meta is correct.
Aggro got a lot of great tools, but no single card looks broken and meta defining on its own like the death knight cards were, or Carnivorous Cube, and so on.
Given how strong aggro looks in warlock and paladin in particular, I expect control to have a real presence again (the kind with an end game beyond fatigue), with combo existing without dominating... I hope.

I think the amount of disruption available in the new expansion will let control exist again, since it gives combo a real threat to their whole gameplan, given the chance there is to see their combo pieces pulled form their deck or hand and squandered.
The lack of infinite meta outside of some weird card combinations means combo needs to draw and play their win conditions before disruption can go online and ruin it, so I honestly don't see OTK and combo being a huge issue outside of maybe Inner Fired / Wall priest.
This is all for the standard meta, of course. Wild seems to self regulate better, given the amount of tools they have.

I'm not completely sold on Secret Paladin being strong, because I don't see much mid and lategame in it. I mean you have a good early, but is it that good that it can carry you until you win? I don't think that playing a bad card on turn one followed by a totem golem or an unnerfed fiery war axe is good enough to win the game. Bellringer sentry surely is strong, but the decks feels it's lacking something on turn 3 and from turn 5 to 7 (there is no divine favor anymore, so you kinda have to play something big, you can't just win by dropping your hand and then divine favor). So what worries my about the viability of the deck is the lack of a really big reward for playing cheap bad card (again, divine favor). It seems like you can kinda fill the curve with something (mechs?), but it doesn't feel that it will be super oppressive in my mind, but I could very well be wrong.
Murloc Shaman on the other hand can make a strong solid board early (good aoes are gone), consolidate it with spirit of the murlocs and bloodlust on turn 5 to kill you. Also shaman has lightning bolt, lava burst and they got a really good way to keep fueling their hand with the new murloc, that seems kinda scary.

yes exactly, that's why right now I don't think we need to be too concerned about OTK decks, but we'll see what happens soon, if anything becomes decent again it may be the silence priest deck with divine spirit/inner fire combo as that deck received support this expansion as seen on the final reveal stream yesterday.

Paladin - There is a great chance, that the deck won't function. It's kinda hard to make a list around big minions and hope to survive, until the late game. So I'm aware of this, but if this archtype appears regardless, if the newly added defensive tools enhance paladin in this direction, I would be pissed to lose to stupid high rolls on turn 5 forward (Duel!, Prismatic Lens).
Mage - I don't know how many if you are expecting this archtype, but it's going to be annoying to play against. Just like old times mages will use the freeze spells to stall the opponent and will burn their face. We haven't gotten any good neutral healing options from the RoS set (we have to rely on what we have from the previous hearthstone year), so we can't protect ourselves from the Pyroblasts, which Kalecgos will hurl at us.
I play control decks (mainly warlock), so those examples scare me the most. I can probably mention Burn Shaman and Face Hunter, but I want to see how those decks will play out. Control Warrior is going to be the King of Control, so, aggro players, your nightmare isn't over yet. I also fear Heistbaron Togwaggle and Tess Rogue becoming extremely popular, but the prior archtype may not survive due to the limited amount of healing rogue has atm.
Wouldn't say scared, but it seems that there are very few cards that support control decks, and quite a few good aggro cards. At this point im kinda assuming that it'll be an aggro meta, which from my perspective sucks. We will see.
OTK Decks on the rise. That shit just makes the game super boring and not fun at all to play. I wish the game was more minion-oriented, because spells are broken now. I remember the good old days when you'd draw Dr. Boom every 7th turn, only to get it BGH instantly... those were the times..
OTK decks on the rise..what are you drunk, what OTL decks are you talking about, and we are getting 3 kinds of disruption.
Murloc Shaman looks to be really scary, mainly because of all the refill it gets while being a very snowbally deck with a strong finisher in Bloodlust...basically a roided up Token Druid without the ramp.
Worst case I'll have to bring out our lord and saviour Hungry Crab so I guess it won't be that bad
I'm also kind of worried that Burgle Rogue now has too many tools, although they are still fairly inconsistent.
The new Dr. Boom legendary alongside his hero, and his new toys. Pair that with Warrior's traditional ability to remove threats and stall games and you got some major headaches heading your way.
I’d say two things:
1. Secret Paladin. It got a lot of stuff to work with. Plus, the turn 1 secret into turn 2 3/4 sounds pretty scary
2. (more unlikely to be meta) Implock. Not the deck as a whole, but the possibility of Jumbo Imp into Sea Giant on turn 5-6 is quite scary
Without Divine Favor, Paladin is severely weakened in card draw. Implock will never work, just run any AoE and your fine

Spell Hunter, I dunno why but I think people are underestimating this one.
Secret Paladin looks like its set to go off. At least with Divine Favor gone if you can whether the initial storm you'll have a chance.
If we survived a turn 3 Mountain Giant from Evenlock, we can survive a turn 5 or 6 Jumbo Imp.
Secret Paladin looks scary with a turn 1 secret into turn 2 3/4. Hopefully the lack of Divine Favor keeps it in check.

Be scared of murlocs my friend, they are coming !
Love the tribes.

Big Fat Paladin and Freeze Mage.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

I hope so but.....we have Subject 9....it is an insane draw engine. Practically a win-more/win-surely if you draw Subject 9 before turn 6
Silence Priest looks very strong
