The fact that this is the year of the mamoth doesn't mean we will see dragons in every set, it means the sets will be somewhat related to dragons. Like other guy said above, krakens were related with the old gods, mamoth were primordial and ravens are related with gilneas. The way I see it, dragons represent power, and Dalaran is the most powerful city of azeroth
Wait, people are stupid enough to think the "Year of" means something? It's just a play on the chinese zodiac animals
Yeah well, they were fooled by the new Mammoth tribe and the Raven Aspect themed legendaries . . . oh wait.
In point of fact, there is no thematic track from the "year of" animal and the cards printed in game.
They, of course, ignore this point because no one gives a shit about ravens or mammoths, but people are invested in the dragon tribe.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
Eh, I like the direction Secret Paladin is going. Dragon Shaman would've been cool, but it's important to have good aggro decks. Only class I'm really sad for is Warrior; maybe a bomb/dragon deck could work? Or dragon/rush in a more aggressive meta.

I don't think warrior is as bad as you think. I'm playing around with bomb lists and they have a reallllly nice curve. Gonna try and give dragon warrior a go again this expansion too.
The frustration for many of us stems from the "teasers" we've seen and have been waiting to use... for example, Cathedral Gargoyle. This card seems so great... and the supports are just barely there to get any use out of it.

it's about lore, theme etc.
it's a nerd-y thing, role-playing or something, Have you ever heard FRP ?

Memedeck-seeker. Always tries to build new decks. Hates tournements, streamers, netdecks and poor-o players. ah, but a tournement mode could be great !!!
That neutral card that summons 2 1/1 all tribes minions are kinda dragons ...... ok ok that does not count. It also took a few years before there was a 3 mana cost Dragon btw.
Lol, did year of the kraken contain krakens? iguess you could count some of the old gods but that's about it, did year of the mammoth contain mammoths? there's not a single mamoth card asides from that arena taunt, did year of the raven contain ravens other than the mage raven??? they just assign a random name to the year based on wow's loose astronomy and constellations, they're just fancy names so that people can identify blocks and metas, and they can't probably go too deep into a year's theme because then we'd end up hitting critical mass with a deck way too fast resulting in a t0 meta (a meta where only 1 deck is viable and far more powerful than any other options, see Kharazan's mid-range shamman)
None of the years have had any more than maybe 2 minions in the first expansion that are the theme animal.
There's only one bland Mammoth in the game from Un'goro and there was one crow (not even a raven) in the witchwood.
Tldr: you're a whinging idiot who got his hopes up. Now you're acting like a spoiled baby
Year of the Mamooth's theme was Primordial's, and Primordial Tribes. Mammoth icon was representing prehistoric creatures.
There was Tortollans, Dinosaurs, Mammoths, Prehistoric beasts, Lizards, Elementals etc.
Year of the Kraken, in the other hand; Kraken was representing old gods. There were "all" of the old gods.
Year of the Raven was well-themed too , It was themed around monster hunt. Raven was representing "scouting" for Monster hunt, more like Witch Hunt.
Come to Year of the Dragon now. They themed it as "Villains engage Dalaran". Lackeys are here, Villains are here. Dalaran Defenders are here but Dragons, Dragon-related stuff isn't here.
C'mon, don't fool yourself. Learn some symbolism, please.
Well, dragons are magical creatures with great power. We're getting Archmages, wizards, arcane crafters and even dragons. The villains are also pretty powerful themselves.

It’s called the “Year of the dragon” not “expansion of the dragon” and it was confirmed that this storyline will span the entire year, so it is inevitable that more dragons will be released in time. It’s not of the upmost importance.
But There is not even "ONE!!!" single Neutral Dragon card.
You do realize that one of the main reasons why they are rather reserved about adding neutral race cards is because how they synergize differently with the already existing cards and classes, right?

I am beating current meta decks like wall priest with a warrior that has NO cards that rotate. Some decks are a challenge, but only because of death knights. (Looking at you, hunter and mage!) Warrior will be fine. (And look! dragons!)
Very salty but also very correct

Ironic. It could recycle others, but not itself.

Bro, get in line! I am still waiting for ravens and mammoths. Where are they Blizzard?!?
Dalaran isn't really full of dragons. My bet is we're gonna have a dragon themed expansion later on, the bronze dragonflight maybe?
The frustration for many of us stems from the "teasers" we've seen and have been waiting to use... for example, Cathedral Gargoyle. This card seems so great... and the supports are just barely there to get any use out of it.
AND WHERE ARE THE FUCKING MAMMOTHS HUH! Okay there may be one mammoth in the game BUT what the fuck!
In all seriousness... I love the cards and flavor for this expansion. Can't wait to play dem cardz!

Thanks. Saved me a post
Don’t use his own logic against him, it’s uncool!

Replace the two weakest performing cards with omega devastator and you're done. There might even be room for some bomb synergy.
Guess I forgot mammoths and ravens are tribes in the game...
