I am looking at the cards and all of them look like good fan made cards and interesting ones, for me (since ungoro) is the best reveal, i am super excited
RoS is going to be the most meta defining set in Hearthstone's history, considering what's leaving Standard. Everything will change for better or worse, going to be the best time ever in terms of theory crafting but after a month or so hopefully things don't get stale again.
Ignoring Genn & Baku, most of the rest of the Year of the Raven was pretty decent. I think Rastakhan's Rumble has some of my favorite designs from a mechanical perspective. Flavor-wise, it's Witchwood, no contest. Honorable mention to League of Explorers.

People are so short-sighted... How do somebody like "UUGH, THIS MECHANIC WAS IN HS BEFORE, RISEOFREPRINTSSS" think a card game works? There is much much less space for designers to move in, possibilities aren't endless. If they just threw everything they had in their sleeves right now, community would be amazed but later on cards would really be reprinted due to lack of new ideas. Balance, fellas, is the thing that keeps together every year, in each of them some new and some old mechanics. I hope people will finally get that.

I agree. I haven’t been as excited as this about a hs exp in years.
Hard to say how much of the excitement for this expansion is due to the cards leaving vs the cards we are getting. Getting rid of sooo many cards that have been staples in the meta is so refreshing. The fact that we seem to be headed towards a value-based meta seems promising too.
I mean, if we removed the year of the mammoth cards for Rumble and Boomsday, they might have looked pretty good too.
My only concern is a possible rise to face-aggro, with so many anti-aggro cards leaving and not a whole lot replacing them.

I hope in the contrary. I hope to see people realizing how lazy this expansion is and how bad is the choice to use it now, after 3 bad expansions that made people to leave Hearthstone. This was a core expansion for 2 reasons:
1) The new year, so in standard we are forced to play it
2) Blizzard financial issues after the 3 previous expansions
So, this, in my opinion, it is a horrible reprinted expansion used in the worst period possible. A horrible choice.
Blizzard needed a perfect expansion now, we are very far from this point.
And with perfect I mean something totally "New" "Fresh" .
So far the Rise of Shadows meta is characterized mostly by what it will not have: death knights, cubes, Genn and Baku. The meta will be completely different even if no cards from Rise of Shadows are actually played. There will be a steep drop in power level, and old overlooked cards like Kangor's Army and Hooktusk may become top meta.
The Rise of Shadows cards revealed so far don't look particularly powerful to be honest.

Right? Like How many versions of Llanowar Elves do you own XD

I can almost certainly see something like Hooktusk work. At this point it feels like it is already close to enter the Meta, let alone if the power level drops. If the Kobolds learned us anything it is to never underestimate the power of recruit. Which is essentially what Hooktusk does.

Favorite Cards: 1. Lord Jaraxxus | 2. Malygos| 3. Edwin VanCleef | 4. Zephrys the Great| 5. Deathwing
Yeah it looks really cool! RoS could potentially even be the best expansion since LoE!
RoS: Reprint , lazy design and overcosted not original cards. Open 10 packs, get your legendary and skip the expansion. (Wild Player)

Ahahahaahahah no. I like maybe 4 cards like now. I am not excited but very disappointed.
I wouldn't say best, but... I think initial critics were wrong. Looks way better than I initially thought.
I think we'll see later today the meta cards. A lot of neutral cards are missing... As early drops and midgame champs.
The last 2 expansions have been open packs and never play again for me. I am thinking of returning to Hearthstone now.

Please put (Wild player) at the beginning so I can skip reading the rest of it.
Except everything you said is false. Interesting, exciting design.

This expansion will totally bring me back to ranked play... Hope Experimentation lasts for longer this time!
