People are so short-sighted... How do somebody like "UUGH, THIS MECHANIC WAS IN HS BEFORE, RISEOFREPRINTSSS" think a card game works? There is much much less space for designers to move in, possibilities aren't endless. If they just threw everything they had in their sleeves right now, community would be amazed but later on cards would really be reprinted due to lack of new ideas. Balance, fellas, is the thing that keeps together every year, in each of them some new and some old mechanics. I hope people will finally get that.
RoS: Reprint , lazy design and overcosted not original cards. Open 10 packs, get your legendary and skip the expansion. (Wild Player)
Please put (Wild player) at the beginning so I can skip reading the rest of it.
Even if you are an old standard player you can skip this expansion. This expansion is bored and lazy, if you know the old cards you already play Dr boom. There is no fun in playing him again in standard.
Tbh the whole year of the raven was pretty weak (not in terms of power level) and this new expansion isn't looking so promising to me, so far i've seen some cards that are literal copies of older cards, but it also doesn't seem as bad as anything from the year of the raven, so i'm pretty on the fence about it
@FeelzbatmanHSYou can't have that in HS, it would take you a full turn just to read the fucking card, HS is meant to be played a lot faster then the IRL trading card games.
To the original question: Yes, this will be one of the best expansions ever, out of all only about 2-3 cards I find unplayable and another 2-3 OP (i.e Kalec is OP). I like this one more then KoTF and WotOG.
I am personally excited about the expansion and I'm having a hard time understanding some of the negative points. I understand that the new Boom is similar to the old one but it has an entirely different mechanic to it and gameplay-wise it's much different. And calling this set as well as the previous few underpowered sounds so wrong. HS had a power creep problem as any game of this kind eventually has, and this was a band-aid. I am excited exactly BECAUSE these sets bring less power with them. I had completely given up Hearthstone before they changed direction and I'm pretty hopeful right now.

Jesus. Take your negativity somewhere else. You dont have to bring people down with you, just because you aren’t as excited as others.

See the design we want to see something like that
No thanks. That game has horribly designed cards and nobody wants brick walls of text.
RoS is going to be the most meta defining set in Hearthstone's history, considering what's leaving Standard. Everything will change for better or worse, going to be the best time ever in terms of theory crafting but after a month or so hopefully things don't get stale again.
Are you . . . damaged?
Yeah, it's definitely this set that is "the most meta-defining set in Hearthstone's history"
Definitely not the one that gave us Death Knights and Keleseth. Excluding Thrall, Garrosh and Malfurion, all of the DKs spawned multiple decks that only existed because of them, and don't even get started on the meta effect of Keleseth.
I'm not even saying KotFT is the most meta-defining, but Jesus Christ.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
I agree that this expansion looks really interesting right now! Many legendaries I am actually interested in getting and trying out. Many other interesting cards I look forward to also. But still, many cards are to be revealed tonight. We are missing a lot still.
I think the META is be going to be pretty great and I do agree that RoS has potential to be a great set. The best, however? Personally, it's going to be hard to beat KotFT for me. Still, there's one more card stream that could make all the difference!

Im pump. So ready for new cards and Meta!
Man, I am very very disappointed, and like me I think also others. It is a reprint, I was expecting something crazy new, and we have something crazy old. I will take my negativity somewhere else but this is the true, unfortunately.
Do you want the best expansion? KotFT, by far! Can you compare this shit with KotFT? I think no.
We stand on the cusp of a new expansion, with so many cards of the "old guard" passing on to wild and the HoF. So many new cards and mechanics are being introduced, or returning.
Cards : KaC

Don't mind me just passing by

I'm ecxited. There isn't one legendary I would be sad to open. They are ALL so good. They did a great job on this one.
Fixed it. ;D

It's an exciting time to be a Hearthstone player.
I understand the theme but I'm not really feeling it.
The most exciting expansion for me was Un'Goro (the reveals of the cards, getting to see quests for the first time ever).
Ungoro was the best expansion by far. KFT would be my 2nd pick.
Old gods for me, no question.
Im just happy that DK rexxar and Jaina are leaving forever from standard... those cards alone can win you games.. im tired of them
