I play Standard because I like the fact that meta is more or less refreshed every 3 months, and that fit more to a competitive gameplay to me where you have limited draft.
Plus, if I follow what's been said on this forum wild meta isn't so diverse, you keep facing the 4-5 same decks.
And last point, Wild is by essence an abomination, like every format that don't "draft their cards" but are accumulating them, you just can't balance 2000+ cards that's impossible.
Therefore (the very last point actually) Wild is a certainly a blast to craft and experimenting fun and memey decks, there the tremendous card pool is really cool as you have access to more mechanic to experiment. I admit that's really cool and what Wild is meant to be for me. Wild for fun, of course, but heck don't tell me about competitive Wild
Wild format is less limited then standard. Odd pally is childish deck- a player needs only 2 legenderies and can win games playing over and over same dudes again. Where is fun?

I played wild meta yesterdey and i faced control mage, kingbane rouge, thief rouge, mechathun warlock, face hunter, odd mage, murloc pally, odd warrior. 4-5 decks? that a good one
There are both standard elitists and wild elitists who say that there respective metas are superior to the other. Nothing new. It doesn't matter what meta you play, as long as you are having fun then enjoy yourself. Everybody has preferences, some people even play both.

I said it's just what I read from a lot of Wild players that's all. I don't pretend that is the truth, I do not play Wild.

I am a grown up not a kid;) who is playing a game and cry after every loose on the ladder
So many people think Wild is "the same decks for all eternity", while the mode frequently sees meta shifts and has, for the most part, much more diversity to offer, since most of its players don't religiously craft and play whatever is "Tier 1".
As for how frequently Standard changes, last year was no good example: Several decks remained in the meta, some barely changed, for an entire year. If it wasn't for brutal, overshooting nerfs, we would probably have nearly the same meta in Standard right now as in Witchwood. Sure, the rotation will change everything, but Standard is much more trapped in a meta than Wild, because when new expansions don't change anything, you have nothing else to go to: No tech cards, no counter-strategies, just whatever works.
Can wild players just stop with this. The same archetypes? Really? Like mill rogue is new? Or big priest? People are STILL playing Jade druid. Like why? Why would you keep playing that? Really why? I honestly want to know.
Can you stop spreading you’re ignorance.
wasn't a question
Hey, I'm not the one starting threads about standard being an inferior format due to lack of variety.
I made a little pause - to play the game and during 30 minutes I played against big priest, exodia mage, odd mage , murloc shaman, deathrattle hunter, miracle rouge. Funny when somebody says that wild is 5 decks and there nothing more

Genn and Baku go to the HoF, so i'm pretty sure those decks won't be seen in standard anymore.
Facing the same archetypes after rotation ? You really are clueless OP
Peoples lack of creativity causes staleness imo
There is Always, Arena. Every deck is anders
Can we lock these threads? We've had countless similar ones, and they always end up in a pissing contest between Standard and Wild fanatics.
Both formats have a will of their own, which makes them great. For once, can everybody just let all other people enjoy what they want to enjoy?
Dad, husband, gamer, fueled by coffee.
Currently playing Dragon Galakrond Priest, Dragon Galakrond Warrior and Highlander Dragon Hunter.
Standard is fun each 2-3 weeks after a expansion release, then its the same decks all over again. Wild is superior for the rest of the year.
Same decks over and over in both modes.
