lol just kidding i had to. But I don't think it saves Booms scheme at all, it is still bad on its own and even with a lot of armor you don't get any extra board presence.
its too inconsistent to run Archmage Vargoth in control warrior just for the mere hope to make a bad card be a decent card, unfortunately warrior cant get a good use from a second copy of Brawl , Shield Slam ecc... Shield Block it will probably be the only armor card that you want in your deck, especially now that Reckless Flurry is out of standard

its definatly still bad on its own. I think could make it work in slower games. Spend the turn to gain 20-30 armor is pretty good. Obviously not good. But playable maybe.
also dont worry i do suck so its not insulting XD. look at the decks i play / made for proof

I think heavy metal could work well with him. And to a lesser degree dragons roar or omega assembly.
Honestly i think card generating spells or miniom summoninh spells will be great with him

The IGN-article in which Vargoth was announced states the following regarding Vargoth's interaction with schemes: " As far as schemes are concerned, Vargoth plays the base version. So you could cast Dr. Boom’s Scheme for ten armour, but at the end of your turn Vargoth will cast it for one."

So no, even Vargoth doesn't save Boom's Scheme.
Damn that sucks. Rip booms scheme

Boom's Scheme is not a complete fail. Fatigue warrior can make for a long game with the right cards. This is just another card you need to hold onto as long as you can.
Imagine playing this for 30 armor gain. That's a win condition. Currently there are no other cards that can do this.
Against any other control/fatigue deck if you're able to keep outlasting your opponent as long as possible, two of these in your hand at the very end of the game are going to keep you from dying first, no matter when you draw them.
The argument against Shield Block is that you don't want to draw cards in a fatigue match up.
If you draw this late you still have the benefit of using up your other cards in an aggro match up.
Definitely not the same with spell stones. They change the card as they evolve so they are always the current card. You can see this with several interactions such as azalina

honestly my only issue is you have to draw it early to get good armor. But if you draw it early its basicly a dead card. If its in last 15 cards then youbwill get like 20 max from it

Edit: it doesnt work
I dont know how schemes work with vorgoth, but if it copies the number then it could save it.
If you got it to 10 armor jt would become 8 mana gain 20 armor. Sounds good to me. But i suck

Booms scheme is hopeless card. Iam sorry, no light at the end of tunel, only darkness before me.
Boom’s scheme is a fail of a card. No matter how you look at it.
Release the Kraken!

im pretty sure the second scheme will only gain you 1 armor
same with spell stones if people were wondering
I think that Shield Block will be better to run instead of scheme anyway.
But those are different spells? Lesser Jasper Spellstone, Jasper Spellstone, Greater Jasper Spellstone. I doubt it would cast the base version if you were to cast a Greater one.
Vargoth is good in CW, but not with Scheme lol.
Vargoth + ShieldBlock = 2/6 psedo taunt body , draw 2 cards gain 10 armor for 7 mana which a good turn 7 play
Vargoth + Execute = Kill two damaged enemies minions since execute only target enemy minion.
Vargoth + Dragon Roar/Omega Asembly = Massive value with 4 dragon or 6 mech to hands. Mech are likely the broken Duo of Dynomatic and Omega Devastator
Vargoth + Brawl : Good against deathrattle token decks.
Not to mention Warrior still have 1 common and 2 rare card to be reveals, maybe there is another a good spell for Vargoth?
oh yeah, I think you are right
Holding out hope that the goblin card coming in ten hours or so will boost armor gain.

No it's still the worst card in the set. It needed to cost 1-2 mana and / or have a far higher starting value or gain more than 1 per turn.
It will never see play. A 0 star card in my book.
A card that is still a lot worse than branching paths after keeping it for 10 turns is a joke.
