My rank is important to me. The highest I've gotten so far is rank 12 and I hope to reach 10 before the season is over. I just earned my first golden portrait so I'd like to collect the others and I'd like to hit legend at least one time.
I'd rather make a deck that is fun, that I created and lose more than I win, than play some boring ass netdeck that feels like an Arena deck and it wins often.
I also want to say, if you net deck and climb ladder with it you are a scrub. You have zero skill in deck building, and you should feel sorry for yourself. You're copying some one else's homework and claiming it as your own and expecting a reward. When more and more scrubs play these netdecks you really start to see how bad those deck are and how easily they can be taken apart and beaten!

i see no problem with net decking and climbing ladder.
also, if you build fun decks that you lose with more than you win, maybe you are also having zero skill in deck building. just a thought.

It is the same concept. For competitive players, they are going to play what wins. Period. Every time I see this complaint, I always think they're just salty because they lose so much but are too proud to admit it.
I've built my own decks before and they sucked because I suck at deck-building. It isn't my cup of tea...but because I practice with competitive decks, I'm beginning to understand win conditions, finishers, and learning how a deck is supposed to operate.
Deck building takes skill, time and practice. I've been watching Deck Doctor lately and I'm starting to learn but at the end of the day, I'm gonna play what wins.
When the meta is enjoyable (for me) I'll seriously try to push for legend, otherwise I'll get my Rank 5 reward and be content with that. Prior to hitting legend for the first time I would sometimes force myself to play even when I was feeling pretty miserable doing so- getting the card back was a great remover of stress . This month Ive only played 8 ranked games, which tells you all you need to know.
You mean besides getting my 5 wins for collecting my monthly cardback? Negatory. I get my 5 wins, then any other ranking after is pleasant bonus to me. I'm happy if I get to ranks 17-15 some months. For me it's not worth the frustration to play against the same 5 decks over and over again, I have better chances of playing against variety in casual wild.
For me i use hearthtone to relax and get my mind of things. If u get very frustrated with a game, then there is a chance that its not the game causing this, but yourself.
I like to rotate through all 18 decks after each win, this way the game never gets boring for me and a lose doesnt feel as bad.
100% agree with the other comments that say the Legend grind deserves better rewards. I can stop at 5 and earn 500 dust or make it to Legend and earn 550...what’s the point? Blizzard turns off win-streak at 5 and says: “If you win 30 more games in a row, or on average about 50-60 out of 100 you get a slightly better reward”! Yeah for some players it takes the whole month just to make it to 5 from 9. Got Legend already, not try-Harding anymore...
I had a streak of top 200 legend finishes lasting for 3 years without exception, but then I lost it a couple months ago.
I was fairly proud of that, but obviously it means nothing in terms of tangible benefits.

just rank 5 for golden epic
The guy intentionally said “dumbster” - not dumpster. It was a clear and obvious insult. I don’t think you are wise to defend him.

Low ranks mean easy games!
I usually just chill in rank 15-12 with a Rogue Lorewalker Cho deck

Got to legend once, try to push for 5 for the golden epic like most.

if I rank up while playing then its a bonus otherwise i just play for fun
