I'd rather make a deck that is fun, that I created and lose more than I win, than play some boring ass netdeck that feels like an Arena deck and it wins often.
I also want to say, if you net deck and climb ladder with it you are a scrub. You have zero skill in deck building, and you should feel sorry for yourself. You're copying some one else's homework and claiming it as your own and expecting a reward. When more and more scrubs play these netdecks you really start to see how bad those deck are and how easily they can be taken apart and beaten!

i see no problem with net decking and climbing ladder.
also, if you build fun decks that you lose with more than you win, maybe you are also having zero skill in deck building. just a thought.
I alredy hit legend and it was a huge pain in the ass to do it but after all , it feels realy good,
anyway I play ranked with fun decks (control hunter , dragon soul priest and many more) and if I get bored I just go to wild to play some exodia or 35 legendarys or even Yogg decks
If you are not into ranked games just go play adventure mode or arena
I have played hearthstone since beta, and my new record rank is rank 4, First time i hiting so long down, my first record rank was rank 12, but i have cllimbed so good to get rank 4 this month.
My ranks games are somethink too me, but not as im professionel gamer.
It seems that everyone tries to get to 5. I should give it a try. For me is winning as much as possible with my next-to golden hero. If that means I can't get past 15, then so be it
I play five Ranked games a month for my card-back, then leave it alone. I occasionally tell myself that Ranked is just another game-mode and I should give it a chance, but then the feeling fades and I go back to avoiding it. I'm already dealing with depression; I don't need the additional stress of trying to climb in Ranked.
Been playing since Vanilla, but I'm nowhere close to a golden hero...and probably never will.
The feeling of relief I get after hitting rank 5 each season is immense. I know it’s a bit sad but I feel like I have to hit that ceiling and then I can relax.
Recently I’ve been aiming to get to rank 1 each month so I automatically start the next season at 5 but the grind is bloody awful at times! I really admire people who can chill at any rank though - I’m just too competitive for my own good. Only hit legend once though as it was fucking painful to get there!
To the guy slagging people off for using net decks - what do you think the pros do? People on ladder generally find a deck they can afford to craft which is competitive and then tweak it according to their collection or tech choices - there is nothing wrong with that on ladder (annoying as hell to meet odd pallys on casual though). I’ve made a few home brew decks and don’t mind saying they were terrible, it doesn’t make me bad at HS it just makes me bad at making decks and my preference is to spend the time I have playing rather than dreaming up a deck.
I play since early start of the game, but from long time ago I just play like 3 matches average a day, I usually manage to get rank 5 for the golden epic due to the feeling of growing ur collection and dust every month. I hardly never put too much effort into reaching legend for different reasons, 1-first the amount of time you have to use for it, (I'm studying physics bachelor and also like to spend time on friends, studies and life stuff in general), so as everyone can understand we are different kind of players, 2- there isn't anything worth into reaching more than rank 5 on reward terms unless u pretend to be a "pro HS player"(which I don't recommend), 3- I love hearthstone but I seriously can't play like more than 1 hour, 4- to be honest the mode I most enjoy is arena which I play 70% of my games every month (really happy after the last patch which says that arena wins count for golden heroes :D)
I have 5 golden heroes thanks to playing dialy few games and just doing quests, a curious part of mine is that I hard try to play just the heroes which I haven't golden, I never got legend because I feel stressful and it's big amount of time that I have to use in other productive things and I still enjoying HS because I'm just a humble player. It's true that rank 5 it means a bit for me because I feel stress(not hard ofc) when the month is ending and im not getting the golden epic.

Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
Yes, I do concede on 19 rank until I get to 20 with 0 stars.

I hope you put this on job applications. Guaranteed hire
Yes
Hit rank 5 and then try and pilot a fun deck as high as I can: currently Tesspionage.
Nope
Not really but if someone can't make it to at least rank 5 I don't think they're any good.
Usually, only some days before the end of the season. ;) I'm at rank 5 now and that's enough for me. :)
I don't care what rank i end up on, i like testing out creative decks.
Don't you care about the rewards? :/

It's nice to get but i won't lose any sleep over it.

Sorry, I know that to quote out of context is a bad practice but... couldn't resist, lol .
Same here.

There is only my justice now
Getting to rank 5 for gold epic, but only in wild. I get absolutely depressed and bored playing standard, so rarely go higher than rank 10.
The goal of all life is death.
