It's pretty obvious that most of the people complaining about Big Priest have never actually played Big Priest, so they have no idea what would or would not improve the deck.

I think Catrina makes for a decent addition to Big Priest, but it's not really the game changer it looks like. If Barnes shows up on Turn 4, chances are you lost anyway, no matter what comes out.
As for Mass Resurrection: Maybe some people will use it if two Spellstones feel too clunky to upgrade, but otherwise, I think the card won't show up in Wild. The Spellstone is just the better card, and 4 big Res effects are likely too much.
If Priest would get yet another board clearing effect for around 4 mana... that'd be a different story.
They design cards mostly with standard in mind, not around wild. That’s why it’s called wild. It baffles me that “people that plays this game” miss that concept.
Honestly. I do not think either of the resurrect cards will be a buff to big priest. The 9 mana resurrect card is very, very slow. Big pries have no trouble with resurrection as it is. A 9 mana mass resurrect will only make the deck even slower.
The legendary card looks like it may have anti synergy with Barns. If you pull it from Barns you pull a card that basically does nothing and makes your ress pool weaker until you actually get some minions you want to resurrect in the death pool and once again will only make the decks slower and weaker overall.
I may be wrong on all this. since I do not even play big priest. We really just have to wait and see how the actually are in play. But for now, I see no concern about any of those cards to be honest.
people seem to like to sell the milk before the cow have been milked.
I wouldn’t nerf Barnes. I’d nerf resurrection in general by making tokens rez as tokens.
That 1/1 Obsidian Statue shouldn’t be a 4/9 with a secret -3/-8 debuff. It should just be a 1/1, and rez as such.
If you want to retain the state of the card, side-effect would be that Paladin's resurrects would come out fully-buffed as well, just the way they died. That would make Kangor's Endless Army (which currently only copies magnetic, not spells), N'Zoth, Redemption, and Desperate Stand more powerful.
People that plays wild hated Big priest high roll with Barnes and now we see more ressurect cards with total disregard for a healthy wild game. Totally uncreative in my opinion
There is none because you misunderstand the wild format. Wild exists so blizzard can print new cards without considering the old cards. No card is printed with intention to buff or nerf a archtype in Wild.
And it really isn't that big of a problem in wild. When I encounter too many big priests, I just play my shaman deck that counters the hell out of it with devolve and hex.
Honestly out of 80 games I saw Big Priest... maybe 10-12 times? I think I lost to it nearly 50% of the time. I understand it has always stood out as a strong deck, but I feel that there is enough variety in the Wild climb to make that a non-issue. Now maybe Big Priest is all top 3-legend, and I can understand that argument. But just like Hunter in Standard, there is always a way around. The new legendary for Priest revealed today will definitely help, but at the cost of what card? It is really hard to decide what cards to swap in and out for another 8 mana minion in this Priest archetype. I guess we will see in a few weeks, but I don't anticipate a huge change. If the devs are expecting that then I can guarantee they are already watching Barnes or another card maybe for that first month nerf that usually comes around.
A lot of people have misconceptions about Big Priest and Wild. Right now, Wild is the most diverse and balanced then ever. Of course, it's tough, strong and swingy, but if you go wild, you go to war, not to ballet.
It's not for fainthearted, but in reality it's a lie that people die there from op, broken and unfair stuff. Because, everything is strong, your deck is as strong as your opponent's (all just feels somewhat faster and swingy). Deck relations are tuned up. Of course, you'll die if you bring some shit homebrew or Standard deck, but... even with a Standard deck you can reach ranks 10 and 5! Just today, a Gallery Priest guy destroyed me at rank 6. ...What I wanted to say, you cannot shit on Wild if you constantly lose there with Heallock. Heallock is too slow for Wild.
Now, back to Big Priest. As I said Wild is in a good shape right now (no naga, old kingsbane, aligners, toned down even shaman and odd rouge...), but I will admit highrolling Big Priest is a little annoyance. But, just an annoyance. The deck is tier 2 and is good only with early Barnes, otherwise it's a slow or even shit deck.
Even with an early Barnes, just Sap the product, or Hex it, sometimes ignore it, and it's game over. Many cheap and off-meta decks shits on Big Priest: burn decks like exodia, freeze and other mages; most aggro decks, aggro mech hunter, shaman... Aggro Kingsbane obliterates them. Devolve, hex, pollymorphe... Today 10 games vs. Priest. All 9 vs. Big Priest won, lost one vs. Normal Dragon Priest. Just mulligan Sap and you are fine.
I would still like Barnes get hit by a nerf, the last annoyance, just that people become less afraid of Wild, which is just an additional meta and fun playground. I think, they'll do it at some point, even if they cannot be that happy if more people go Wild (with time, maintaining resources can become much cheaper).
Wild is best experienced if you don't care about ranking. Until rank 15, games are very easy (don' let those few noob stompers at rank 25 discourage you) (some players and bots at the lowest Wild ranks are some of the worst I've ever seen, worse then at rank 50 - Standard). Ranks 15 - 10 are the most fun and versatile. People there play all kinds of decks. Even going towards rank 5, it's 65% full meta vs. 35% mid tier decks. Remember, off-meta kills specific meta decks which is very satisfactory. Most off-meta decks aren't even documented and thus always a surprise. Casual is also fun. Playing competativly or for fun, everybody can find a place. There's around 20 meta and 30 known off-meta decks which you can copy from streamers, better then in Standard. It's very hypocritical to talk against Wild, while right now there isn't anything similar there like what we had in Standard: Giggling Quest Rouge, pre nerfed domination of Cube Warlock, Hadronox and unbreachable walls of taunts, uninteractive otk's. Partially because, in Wild there are lot of interactive tools. The truth is both formats can be fun. Wild isn't worse then Standard.
Looking at these new Priest cards, they are of no good use to Big Priest. He already has the late game, he's weak early, when only highrolling Barnes keeps him afloat. If you let him do things he likes doing from mid and post mid-game, he earned it.
I love big priest and I have all meta decks so I can ez counter it. I approve that style of playing. Big priest is not a problem. Noobs crying about it are. I'm wild legend player. Check leaderboard before being salty.

THIs will not see play in bigpriest cuzyou still want the aoe cards and the heal. Spellstone and the other 2 res cards are way better than this. So although i hate this card just because it's boring, stupid and kinda a resemblance of those resurrection cards it will not see play in bigpriest and if it does then only one of and that late in the game the matchup is already decided most of the time. So all in all a stupid card that i despise because of the res mechanic but at the same time bad...

Because it’s an eternal format so Wild doesn’t matter.

And if it's Catrina... it's a bit worse than Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound, depending on the opponent worse than Obsidian Statue, but arguably better than Ragnaros the Firelord.

Catrina can easily fit, by adding some extra healing in the deck, and abusing the extra trades provided by more bodies, to stall against Aggro.
And/or replacing one Statue.
Funny thing is we wouldn't be talking of these cards without Barnes and Shadow Essence.
If those two cards were obliterated from the game, it would be a better world...
Big Priest has not a particular high winrate in Wild, it's just that many people play it
Highroll is just highroll, Aggro still destroys this deck

big priest is a tir 2 deck and there are tons of tir 1 decks in wild.
I think they do not care about wild. Who does. Its wild. :D
Umm what? The best anti aggro play as far as board goes is cheating out a early statue.
All catrina will do is add a not desirable barnes target..
This is not a big priest card.
