Ive always wondered why this was needed it takes 1 second to squelch
I've always wondered why some people were so eager to have this autosquelch... I think I have used squelch less than 10 times in the last 3 years...
There are people that squelch every game. Because they hear every emote as toxic. Ive had someone claim greetings at the start is toxic
Exactly! i also never understood the "emote" problem. If you do not want to see emotes just squelch - problem solved! but some people get easily titled and as stated above see a "greetings" at the start as toxic or bm.
Yeah, right, cause majority of HS players only use emotes to greet at the beginning. Noone ever starts to spam when they think they are winning or when have lethal on board and ropes just to spam some more...

If you have a deck idea might as well go full ham on it.
I dont think emotes are toxic but I think turning off emotes just seems like a basic feature the game is missing. Every other blizz title (and most other games nowadays) lets you control multiple sounds/effects you experience in game. This game only has like 3 settings
For the people who say why need auto squelch, well I will copy an example reynad used. Lets say every time you start a match of hearthstone, the game sets itself to the resolution you don't want. So everytime you have to go to the option menu and click the resolution you want. Is this easy to do? Yes. Do you want to have to do this every match and remember to do so? no.

Meh... It's not the same, squelching the opponent is much faster and easier to do.
I love emotes. I am responsible person with them, people are so bothered by these so easily. We have a giant threads and posts on here on reeeeee i dont like emotes reee its annoying ramble. Auto squelch is neat but really people need to chill alright its a game. Not that stressful lol.
If someone greets, I greet back and then quickly squelch. These are usually the people who will emote later on when they have lethal.
Thank you/ Well Played.
I lost, why would I think the game was Well Played? I drew crap and had no way to stop you from destroying me.
Or RNG kept me from having any advantage.
I don't want to know that since you won, you want to quickly emote me to rub it in a little harder.
I agree that "Thank You" when you've won is totally BM, but if I say "Well Played" after a win it's probably because 1) it was a hard-fought match that either of us could have won, or 2) I recognize I only won because RNGesus loves me. Generally though I only say it when I've lost and the other person wasn't a cockwaffle about winning.
I think that's a big problem with a lot of emotes and people's responses - because there's no context/actual chat, EVERY emote could either be genuine or BM and you have no way of knowing. I know *I* don't BM, but naturally everyone else is a shitty garbage-person who ONLY BMs, right?
I would legitimately like to see a real-time chat feature that you could opt into/out of: if both players have it on they can free to chat, talk shit, whatever and there's no ambiguity. If the other player starts annoying you (or you never want to chat) just opt out and then no emotes, no chat, nothing. Blizzard: I'll take my associate developer money whenever's convenient for you, thanks.
Wow i didnt know that!! :D . Does anyone else use this feature in deck tracker?? SCREW YOU EMOTE SPAMMERS

Both players spamming emotes like crazy is one of the best things about Hearthstone. You people don't know what fun is...
In other news computer mouses are invented! Allowing players to squelch their opponent at any time with two simple clicks :0

Anyone who cries about the game not having auto squelch is a loser, plain and simple.

I still wonder how do you people deal with others in real life... Does everyone you know treat you nicely? I really doubt it...

Btw. Wow...
Do or do not. There is no try.
People want to squelch because people are a hole ms on the internet. Oh look I got a god hand I must act like 4 year old and emote every turn or rope.

Assholes are everywhere, not only on the internet and I really wonder how do you deal with them in real life, where things really matter.
Greetings at the start as toxic?!? These people are softer than babyshit.
