What happened to the Aggro decks? I mean the WHAM, BAM, THANK YOU ma’am decks. Can we please get back to the face decks? I would like for one game to NOT take fourth forevers to finish.
Why not? It works. Cursed Blade is still a thing since the Fiery War Axe nerf and Ship's Cannon is totally bonkers with it. I would've understood if you told me not to advise people to use Skycap'n Kragg, but together with Sharkfin Fan they're the MVPs of the deck.
This is the list I'm using. Replacement for Kragg would be Spellbreaker.
Try it. It is really fast.
Proof of me making it to rank 5 with it:
Most people think, Sharkfin is just a 2/2 for 2. But a weapon in turn 1 makes him a 2/2 + Patches + a 1/1 for 2. Turn 3 Southsea Captain and your board is nothing to be messed with.
Literally any meme deck can reach rank 5 in wild. Especially a tier 2 deck with 3 bad cards.
Even shaman with Hex and windfury "works" too and can probably reach legend too. That doesn't mean it isn't far, far inferior to actually running good cards.
You cut much needed burst that Heroic strike gives for a mediocre 2drop.
Heroic Strike. Why did I knew you would say that? Oh right! A streamer told you to play it and you mindlessly played it without thinking about it twice?
I think there's a "she's asking for it" joke here, and I think it's going to get me banned.
That is all.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
your pirate warrior list seems pretty bad to be honest with ya
Why? Because I named two cards that aren't played much in the lists you always see? I think this list is the optimized one. But I'm actually glad no one else plays it. Other Pirate Warriors with Heroic Strike are pretty easy to beat.

Everyone just copies this list blindly. It's such a shame. No creativity in the community, just blind netdecking.
A Cannon + Sharkfin is way stronger than a Heroic Strike.
This is meant for Rogue btw.
"Do you wanna know why Sharkfin Fan blows ass? It's a fuckin 2/2. That's the exact reason why. That is why the cards sucks. It is a 2/2. Simple as that."
But this quote is what really bugs me about it. If you can't trigger it, don't play it. You don't play Sorcerer's Apprentice, if you can't trigger it, because it's just a 3/2. Same thing.

I use the list that is recommended by professionals and data experts, yes. Why wouldn't I?
Funny you should link Control, as he is probably the best, most experienced pirate warrior player. One who has reached #1 legend with multiple variations of the deck, during different seasons. Meanwhile you're sharing a link of you reaching rank 5 with the deck.
So yes, I will listen to the 'streamer' who is clearly far better and more experienced on this matter. Or do you go to a random homeless person on the street for advice on a new car, rather than a car salesman?

Well, my list is from another forum, were users share their advice and experiences and point out why the streamers are not always right. No one is always right. Not me, not you, not the streamers, not the users in the forums. But two of those users made Legend with this list, too, so it can't be that bad.
I just don't like the grind to Legend (I made it once in November 2017 with Snowflipper Druid and since then never again). I just wanted to share my experience with aggro decks in Wild. Also, I made it to rank 3 with the deck, but I only had a picture available of me reaching my monthly goal. Because rank 3 isn't that special to me.
The thing is: If you have Sharkfin, why don't you test the deck with him? Are you so afraid that it could work better than a list that your precious streamer has provided you with?
I've tested it with Heroic Strike as well. And I think it is the suboptimal list.

Captain feels too inconsistent to pull. And that 2 mana 2/2 is only good if you have n'zoth's first mate on t1.
Reaching rank 5 doesn't suddenly make the deck optimized, pirate warrior is still a viable archetype after all. Even reaching Legend doesn't mean your deck is optimized or good.
Although I can't say these are bad choices, I've never tested it nor played against it so who knows.

See post #43 why two people who reach legend with an already proven deck that -only- runs 2-3 suboptimal cards is of no relevance to me whatsoever.
I don't run Sharkfin because I like to win games. If people with way more knowledge and experience than me (both in general and especially on the deck at hand) tell me that Heroic strike is better than Sharkfin, period, then why would I run Sharkfin? There is no reason for me to do so when my main priority is to win games.
Again, I prefer the opinions of a car salesmen over that of some homeless people.

Cursed Blade on turn 1 is also an option. Or Upgrade. Those are 6 options to trigger Sharkfin on turn 2. And I've often summoned Kragg for 3 or less mana. Two times even for 1. This isn't inconsistent. He's good even for 4 or 5. If you don't have this boardstate in turn 5 and play in topdeck, then you can give up as well. But that is, what aggro decks are about.
In regards of Sharkfin. I often play Ship's Cannon first, before I play any other pirate. It's mostly Coin + Cannon, or T1 Weapon, T2 Cannon, T3 Sharkfin Fan + Southsea Deckhand. Given that I attacked with my Cursed Blade each turn, that results in 4 damage in turn 2. In turn 3, it just explodes. 8 damage through Cannon triggers (Fan, Patches, Deckhand and the 1/1 from Sharkfin), 2 damage for attacking with Cannon, another 2 from attacking with Southsea Deckhand and another 2 for attacking with the Blade. This means, by the end of turn 3 I've already dealt 18 damage.
Of course, the opponent's try to kill the Cannon first. But an unhandled Sharkfin Fan is at least as dangerous as an unhandled Cannon. With Southsea Captain, I always spawn a new 2/2 after attacking.
And don't forget the synergy between Sharkfin Fan and Frothing Berserker. More 1/1s that can trade into small minions that push his attack higher. And even after the last Death's Bite attack, I get another 1/1 that gets damaged (and sadly killed), but also pumps Berserker more.
Those synergies are all missing with a Heroic Strike that's simply just a 4 damage spell. And not even a good one.
The problem is indeed that streamers influence the opinions of others in such a strong way that small changes in decklists are disposed as bad, when they're well thought out.
And I know that reaching Legend doesn't mean anything. Still, all the arguments were about people reaching Legend multiple times. So it has to mean something, right? Otherwise, those arguments are completely worthless.
What else is important then? The time in which you make it to Legend? I made it from 20 to 5 in about 8 hours of playing. Around 130 matches on three days. The occasional up and down from rank 7 to 6 and back was annoying but nothing new to me. It's always like that.
I don't really think that anything of this is important. OP wanted to have an answer were all the aggro decks are, because they enjoy playing them. And I just wanted to stop by and give my friendly advice to try wild. If you play Pirate Warrior with Heroic Strike or not is your business. I made the experience that I'm playing better without it. Maybe, you don't play Pirate Warrior at all and enjoy Shaman, Paladin or Rogue. That's fine, too. I have fun with my build, I don't want to keep you from having fun with yours. What I wanted to do is giving a bit of advice: Don't trust streamers, data or "professionals" blindly. Experiment with your deck. Try to fine-tune it. Make it better. Make it more fun for you to enjoy it.
Well this month I played Odd Aggro Mage in both standard and wild and got to rank 3-4 in both modes with literally the same standard list. Game is decided before turn 10 most of the time
But isn't the whole point of aggro decks is that the opponent doesn't get a choice in the matter? You come at them guns blazing and they either deal or get smoked. That's why people don't like aggro, the agro player decides how the game goes.
Well if you play a reactive deck you can't complain you don't get to decide in which direction the game goes amirite

What about third or second forevers?
It is does god damn OTK decks - we need them to dissapear so we can have a normal game again.

There were a few good aggro cards today.
the thing about aggro is that there doesn't need to be many good aggro cards for aggro to work.
So many control elitists in the forums, I play aggro half of the time I like it, fight me.
I clicked for the title and I'm very disappointed.
Custom cards :
CLASSES : Alchemist (CCC#5 | Phase V) | Chef (CCC#4)
EXPANSIONS : Year of the Scorpion (Year Comp)
Aggro should never, ever get active support.
I'm basic, I love them long and hard.
Jokes aside I miss the fatigue games, those are always fun!

No. Face decks ruin the game. If you dont wanna game, dont game.

I play Hearthstone to fill huge gaps of time in my schedule so I don't want any puny 3min games where I cry at the end.
