No, I have no reason to believe they give an f about me any more than I give an f about someone I don't know.
I brought up the thread because people are constantly making untrue claims in discussions of which I'm a part.
Also, as an investor, I give an f about the company.
We good?

Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
Does MTG Arena realy pose as a threat? the last time i read about somekind of numbers on players is that it´s almost a flop like Artifact! But i could be wrong, not sure, i personaly played MTG for almost 15 years - i stopped because i did not have fun anymore playing it - i enjoyed hearthstone way more and it realy grew on me.
And i kinda understand the problem you mentioned about the "mana-from-land" thing.
I think MTG Arena poses a threat in that it's a likely place for Hearthstone players to migrate if this game turns bad again. But it's still technically in beta, so I don't know how much stock you can really put into any numbers you've seen. They just added the first real cosmetics to the game, like, today, for example, so there are probably more improvements coming before a full release.
That said, it's a great place to go to see an example of a game that is actually expensive and actually full of inescapable bad RNG -- in the form of over-reliance on how the deck shuffles. Watch any MTG streamer and keep track of how many games are decided by mana-flood or mana-screw, and you'll feel a lot better about Hearthstone.

If I was an invester I'd be worried too, every other time blizzard games spiked in popularity it comes crashing down for some reason, like a curse or something. WoW and Diablo are pretty much dead, Overwatch is on the way out compared to what they had a year prior, HotS, lmao. Starcraft isn't supported anymore etc. Everyone of Blizzards big projects are underperforming, no wonder they are trying to make Diablo into a cash grab mobile game.

Any CCG, physical or digital, that lasts for 5 years or more is a success in my opinion! Most new CCG's don't last nearly that long. For example, I don't think Artifact or Gwent will be around long just looking at their numbers.

Artifact is already dead. Gwent also. And yes, 5 years for a Digital CCG is good going. Hell, 5 years for any game that relies on finding online opponents is good going imo.
My question is this: When Hearthstone does die (because it will, eventually) where are the people on these Forums who seem to live to complain about it going to go?

The sad thing is, that IS how an investor would see it.
If you're the company itself, you wouldn't be. WoW is on a steady milk for over 10 years and still at closee to 10k players, numbers most MMOs at their peak would've dreamed of having. Diablo 3 has this odd relationship with the playerbase, which goes to play other games then, the second something new is added, comes flooding in, cash on hand to gobble it up, then go leave again. It's a pretty reliable money maker. Overwatch has crested but is establishing itself into a proper niche which, if cared for, can establish steady revenue for years. Starcraft isn't a think revenue wise but it's not exactly a high cost to maintain. Hearthstone's overall revenue is still going up year over year and is settling in well now that the hype for CCGs has faded.
From a company viewpoint, it's a highly stabilized company with stable, expected profits that doesn't have to fear going supernova due to lost hype. They can literally stay on this course for 5 years before even being worried about a new game, which is why they always had spent a long time putting out games. Starcraft fans had no problems not having an RTS, nevermind a starcraft game for over 10 YEARS and went full hype the second the first trailer showed up. Imagine if CoD went from Original CoD (2003) then nothing until Black Ops 2 (2012).
It's a manufactured crisis due to outside parties. It's like if you were getting ready to go to an appointment due at 1pm, found out you would get there right at 1pm, then a coworker you are ridesharing says "OMG, I NEED to get there at 12 so I can have a coffee beforehand. GO FASTER!" Then you rush out the door forgetting half of your stuff and go at twice the speed limit until you crash into a semi.
Blizzard SHOULDN'T be a company in trouble according to the numbers they need as a company. According to the numbers people WANT them to have, DEMAND they should have, they are in a crisis.
Yeah I tried Magic and Eternal and the mechanics are so inferior I feel. I get that for a paper card game you don't want to keep a counter on every minion to show its current hit points but the defenders choosing who they defend and regaining all HP if not killed just feels so outdated and....yeah stifling. You just have these standoffs until someone plays a huge board buff or eliminates key defenders or starts throwing down flying minions. Flying is so stupid. And mana floods/droughts are annoying as hell. Again something necessary for a paper card game but it can be done away with in a digital one. And the decks are huge. I like smaller decks where each card matters more and you can only have one of some instead of being able to have 4 of anything.
Just so many things better about Hearthstone for me. Magic's really different and I guess some people prefer those mechanics and the different strategy and planning they require. I can see that. Especially people that really like doing the math in their head, etc. Hearthstone feels much more alive to me though.
Honestly i don't understand where they get this ''small indie company'' thing. They are making MILLIONS only in one game. A card game. Yes it costs money to keep it up. BUT its ''free to play'' game with the condition of ''pay to win''. I would guess it doesn't cost any more than a 100 million to keep up a so called free to play game. In my opinion not a dead game.
It’s a joke about blizzard being so huge yet making mistakes that are very easy to avoid, its supposed to be sarcastic.
Well, earning one billion on a free to play game seems like a sweet mistake.
Also, people will play HS as long as it is fun for them, I see no point in discussing whether HS is going to die soon. Unless you invested some money in their shares, of course.
I play what I like, that is HS today. Tomorrow? We will see...

Thanks @Shadowrisen for actually making logical statements based on data and not feelings. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of some others.
