I kinda expected new & unique effects for this expansion don’t get me wrong I like the value of heist Baron Togwaggle but creativity wise it’s a 0/10 , I don’t like the way blizzard is rebranding most card effects we have already seen. I‘m not really convinced yet on preordering this yet who feels the same ? Expectations I still have :A new archetype for Druid which doesn’t rely on a OTK to kill your opponent and doesn’t include treants ,a NEW Dragon Paladin (happy now ?) ,some love for shaman with some
To be honest i could care less about the cards they release this set i'm just happy the deathknights are going away and most of the otk decks are going too
I feel the same as the OP to be honest. Expansions are fun because of interesting new mechanics. Recycling old mechanics is less interesting to me, I've already spent hours messing with Golden Monkey (Rafaam) and Marin treasures (Heistbaron).
So you want Dragon Paladin, an old deck to come back, but at the same time you don't want old effects? Huh. Guess there's just no way to please everyone.
"some love for shaman with some decent Spells , a good warrior Legendary" These two have already happened, Shaman received Hagatha's Scheme which will be the strongest aoe card in standard and warrior received Blastmaster Boom, a better Dr 7.
well I agree with you to some extent you have to understand that recycling these game mechanics also helps to create a more consistent game experience overall. constantly throwing in new mechanics is what led to this current meta being so stale and unbalanced. there wasn't enough thought put into what these mechanics were going to do to the overarching meta. I'd rather have them recycle a few mechanics if it means they don't try to create a whole bunch of new ones every single time they release an expansion.

I just want the most significant cards of the set, like the class legendaries, to feel special and be a bit more exciting. Recycling effects from Marin or Golden Monkey, which many of us have already played with (for hours) doesn't really do it for me. It feels lazy.
This guy probably was one of the idiots typing resident sleeper in the reveal stream his opinion means nothing.
Wow dude are you one of Blizzards Secret employees? I didn’t even watch the stream cause the streams in the past were garbage. All I said was i‘m not convinced on preordering and people getting butthurt because of that too now?
while i agree recycling the same mechanics is lazy. they have shown a tendency in the last 4 or 5 expansions that newer designs have been pretty busted leading to nerfs on nerfs on nerfs. i think K&C was the worst for this. thats not even bringing up the 9 deathknights were on polar ends where half gave inevitability and the other half did nothing. genn and baku along with a entire cycle of cards around them were design disasters for standard.
so while lazy in design, id rather see recycled mechanics and in this case theyre class specific as long as it creates a healthy meta. which is what everyone wants. we are bound to see new designs down the road. it almost feels Old Gods meta-ish. which was actually pretty fine. again not advocating laziness, im more advocating for a healthier meta. which has been quite some time(Ungoro).

Actually i could not wait for more new mechanics or longer texts, i feel that is what hearthstone needs.

Ok if you consider Blastmaster Boom good that’s your opinion, hagatha‘s scheme is a replacement for volcano which is much better .
Dude Tribals don’t equal effects, of course I want new and interesting effects , I‘m ok if they want to print more mechs , murlocs or elementals at least make it exciting.
When they started the rotation, they said they would never reprint the same card but they are already doing that. They changed the name of the card and its body but they are reprinting the same cards with the same effects, if they would reprint the same cards over and over again what was the point of rotation????

It's not really just an opinion, the old Dr boom was incredibly good and the new one is as good if not better with how much bomb synergy there is. Volcano is garbage when compared to Hagatha's scheme, if you keep it in the mulligan then on turn five it will do 5 to everything, for a total of 70 damage across all minions. With no overload. If you can't understand how strong that is, then I don't know what to tell you. It will arguably be the strongest aoe in the entirety of Hearthstone.
What I'm saying, is that it's silly to expect an old deck to come back but at the same time being against old effects coming back.

Just like it's your opinion that Blastmaster Boom isn't good. Boom may not be tier 1 lich king type legendary, but it promotes new way of playing Warrior, isn't that what you want ?

"I hate rebranding!"
"Give me dragon paladin!"
I exist, I think.

Printing good Dragons isn’t rebranding , printing Rafaam and giving him the golden monkey effect or 7 Mana Dr.7 with a lowkey downside is
Dude .. Rexxar will be gone forever! That's more than enough, just buy both bundles already!
I'm sorry for my bad english :D

So obviously we need a new minion with a deathrattle effect that forces you to play a game of chess instead.
Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.

Isn't the point of the expansion to bring back old villains so they can just use old effects on "new" cards?
Also changing 3 legendary cards that all classes could use to now one class is just dumb.
stop bitching so much enjoy the game new cards new meta no more odd even dk no more cube no more keleseth enjoy the game
