Haven't seen the stream, previous ones were mediocre which kind of ruined it for me in the long run.
I have to say that if people are getting personal with the people who presented the stream, well then that's not nice in the least and they probably should be banned moving forward. However, the people who are piggy backing on negativity and are virtue signalling are equally as bad, essentially making the perceived abuse to be something it wasn't for some agenda.
From all the comments I've seen on reddit, Hearthpwn and Twitter the stream was overall mediocre and mostly catered to new players. That's fine. If they want to target new blood that's great but with that being the case they should expect some pushback from the hardcore players and I don't mean the abusive kind.
Just stop watching the stream and let is be a flop if you have negative feelings about it.

New players in 2019 OMEGALUL
So you're one of those who says.. if you don't like don't watch. Sorry but it doesn't work like that, players expected good content, they will surely be angry if they don't get what they were looking for.
It's genuinely hard to give an appropriate response here. People tend to be extremely pissy and get easily offended at every little thing (not a reference to you by the way) and start reporting the shit out of you. So I try to stay neutral.
In general however, I completely agree that players have the right to be angry. Especially when they are dripp-fed content in a game like hearthstone that barely experiences any meaningful updates. By all means complain but if the quality has repetitively shown to be sub-par, you'll get more results by also combining it with action. Just like not spending (i.e. voting with your wallet) is the only way to get the attention of a company like Activision a significant drip in viewership proves that their formula is trash.
With banning people, yeah I overspoke. That's my bad. I more so meant give them a time-out or something along those lines. But then again this is Twitch, just another trash social media platform. You lose very little by not participating with an account.

Guys i hate to say this but you all forget the point that by doing it as it went down they gained a lot of media coverage. Just check reddit or this. A lot of people are talkin about "how bad the stream was". If you think about it, that's a version of advertisement as well.
Peter is fine as a developer perspective side of things, but he can’t carry the stream.
A big issue with this stream is that Cora wasn’t good enough to know the play immediately. She had to think, and then ask Peter and cycle through all the possible moves. If they got rid of all the “what should I play?” Talk, then it would have cut the stream in half and no one would be this grumpy about it. This was Day9s issue too, although he was at least wa more funny.
They really need to have someone who knows what they are doing to play. Part of the problem is that the people playing the deck don’t know the deck, so they have no idea how it should be played. I honestly think they should be debriefed before the stream and know what is coming to help the stream move. You lose that “oh!” Surprise from the player, but oh well.
Blizzard seems to be trying, as this was a new attempt at three people format. Hopefully they learn. But I am starting to wonder if this live game format is the way to do these things.
Apparently she's played competitively so I doubt she's a bad player. Maybe being part of an unfamiliar format was daunting and she was a little unsure of herself - I like your idea of a proper briefing. Then again, I didn't watch it as I'm not really invested in streams, would rather just read about the cards and check the community feedback. So maybe I would have been upset too if I watched an hour of content in 2.
Here is one thing that I realized after seeing the complaints about the stream...
Without the rope, they would have talked for 2 hours never revealing all the new cards.
It is one of the most annoying things for me when watching anyone play Hearthstone. If you are going to rope, then do it with reason. Do it with purpose. You are potentially making a complicated play. You are calculating all the odds of something happening in your favor. You are explaining to your stream about such choices. You are interacting with your chat and get slightly side tracked.
It is cringe worthy because not only were mistakes made during game play, it was compounded by the rope rushing them along.
Hint to the Dev team. Remove the rope from your reveal stream. Tell the guests not to jibber jabber for no reason. Talk about the cards, talk about the plays. Talk about the game. Also, test your cards before going live. They said it worked previously, but was this weeks ago or hours ago?
I think you need entertainment mixed with skill. Roping every turn is just plain annoying when nothing useful is accomplished. Also, you can talk during your opponents turn.
Anyone talking about someone's appearance should be ashamed of themselves. Talk about the content and the fact that the lackey mechanic was broken and bugged. Talk about the game play or lack there of. Stay away from direct and personal attacks.
We all miss the over the top way that Ben Brode did things. Maybe they need to hire someone who does this stuff for a living. I just hope the next stream is fixed of all bugs and the incessant talking and roping.
The games were too long, with another two games in the end where no new cards were revealed, my biggest problem with the stream was that it was too long for too little revealed cards. I think they should just have a nice balance with time and cards revealed. This was just way too streched out. Roping every turn, few new cards, and two unnecessary games in the end. The talking at the start doesn't help either...
As someone said before, just let the Omnistone guys and gals reveal the cards, talk about each one then move onto the next, have a ***CLIP*** on the card interactions to show the audience that will hype up its value, then end the stream or FINISH with gameplay!
Simple! To the point! No wasted time! Still get card hype going!
Otherwise have SCRIPTED games!!!! The audience won't know or CARE! The cast can focus on talking cognitively and interestingly on the card at hand without having to worry about BETA testing the damn product on the live stream!

As a Monty Python fan..."GET ON WITH IT!"

the only problem was they rope every single turn talking about random garbage that is not intresting at all
