.... The mods didnt even update the expansion menu since its reveal or added the countdown timer. Seems nobody is interested.
*Disclaimer: this is not flame thread, this is the best website still for HS news and updates, however the hype around this expansion has been minimal at best and we are about 2 weeks into release!
I agree. Maybe because we are coming from the 3 worst expansions ever in Hearthstone in a row. Even Blizzard seems not interesting very much, considering that in this expansion they are recycling mechanics, Art of the cards and enemies. They seems totally not interested in.
So why Hearthpwn should care about it, if Blizzard is committing suicide.
I don't often speak my mind, but these posts should be closed by the mods, this is like the 10th complaint post in a week about irrelevant stuff. We're not even begun with the reveals! Please people use the salt thread for stuff like this.
A lot of useless card and arcs such as pirate rogue ! No powerful big dudes ı really miss the old gods ! If this new expansion will not be realized my dream, Im going to play only Wild certainly!
I see a lot of people saying "expansion is boring", "I'm not hype at all", "same characters, lazy blizzard"... but when the exp comes, everybody is gonna play it and stop complaining about. Worst thing to do is judge something by its half, wait a little more and you see if it is "boring" or nah. Btw, stream reveal is gonna be today, so we'll actually see some cards in play, then you can judge better
Everybody is gonna play it - TRUE statement
People with stop complaining - FALSE statement
When I said "complaining about", I refer to the essence of the expansion. Maybe will surge some op cards that everyone is gonna hate and ask for nerfs, this is normal. But now people are just talking about hype and stuff, which doesn't matter that much. Just wait for the cards and that's all

With every expansion, dozens of threads pop up after every reveal, complaining about "lazy designers," "forced archetypes," and "boring cards." The mods lock them - but they don't police the boards as a full-time job, and typically the offending threads have to be reported before the mods step in. Apparently, I've already "ignored" whoever began this particular thread, so I can't notify the mods.
Also - the mods appear to be working on migrating to a new site, though they haven't yet made any announcement. Presumably, this explains some of the slow updates to this site over the past few weeks. I guess we'll have to wait and see . . .

Welcome to Hearthpwn -- people have been saying this about literally every expansion in the history of Hearthstone, with the possible except of GvG, which was the first full expansion (and was insanely OP). GvG also introduced Spectator mode, so there was a lot to be excited about.
We don't know enough about the set to be honestly excited or bored by it, but I'll just say that the Hall of Fame choices were enough to bring me back to the game after almost a year away. I do think the new mechanics are promising without being blatantly OP, so fingers crossed we see some good stuff today.

So after the steam any new "hype"? I mean it was a let down from the start for me. As mentioned before reprinting of mechanics is just tedious with just making it a class card and tweaking the stats.
-Shuffling bombs (yes I know they want to make an archtype).
-Summon random minions for mage (new archtype with Khadgar). Insane with double ragnaros as 9 mana....
-From the stream the rogue could have had an insane turn 5 play. Coin togg > prep > summon 2 legandries (imagine 2 grommash/2 tirion). So it seems the high-rolling RNG is gonna be back again. I am not complaining about RNG I am complaining about high-rolling that early in the game.
-Dr Boom is back!
The only interesting new addition for me is the lackeys.

The rogue cards are interesting, the warrior ones could be fun I like the expansion on cards that were stand alone before but now make more sense, like mage summoning minions being expanded is nice it's nothing we didn't see before though which is kinda MEH thought we would see more of new mechanics like twinspell.
ANyway I mainly play warlock, paladin, shaman and hunter and no new cards for them were shown so I am kinda dissapointed.

Yeah, cool. Let’s judge the expansion based on the less than 10% of cards that have been shown. Seems reasonable.
This is every expansion to date. Maybe except for KOFT. That one seemed pretty hype from the DK introduction. Or maybe WOTG.
Seems nobody cares unless the cards are way overpowered.
I am extremely pumped about the expansion, about the rotation, the new cards, new strategies, just all of it. I'm fairly new to this game after bouncing around for years with other mobile games, and Hearthstone is truly something special. Continuous stream of new, fresh content, fun and engaging community sites... I love it.
The low amount of revealed cards and the uneven spread of revealed cards has seriously dampered my hype.
I mostly play play Hunter, Paladin, and Mage and only have 2 cards to look at: one of which is 99% chance to be trash and neither having major class themes. I'm bored already.
This reveal stream better not have trash. I could easily not preorder.
In first set of the year past, I was speculating on possible quests or Old gods or Odd/even decks or the new rush mechanic. All we have now is speculation of a slot-in Dr Boom warrior legendary or a Togwaggle that could be terrible or memey like 75% of rogue legendaries.
If you don't want to pre order then don't, it's not a huge deal and as with any expansion or dlc, some will want to, some won't. If you personally find whatever they release 'trash' then that's your prerogative.
If you restrict yourself to 3 classes, you're causing your own issues.
I am saying that Blizzard is not hitting all their demographics. People who are hyped now would be hyped for anything.
If you want dat money cash cheddar cheese, you gotta appeal to a broad demo.
You need to reveal a Spike card, a Johnny card, a Timmy card, an aggro card, a mid-range card, a control card, a combo card.... a Druid card, a Hunter card.... a Warrior card etc etc well before release.
Or the unhyped might spend their money elsewhere. Especially if this is the first expansion of the year.
Rise of Shadows feels like an August expansion. Many People are more hyped about the rotation than the expansion. That's not good.
I watched the reveal stream, along with 44,000 other people on Twitch. I'd say there's a decent amount of interest in the expansion and Hearthstone in general.
The recycled mechanics killed my hype tbh, although there is still a lot to reveal. The cards I do like so far are Kalecgos, Chef Nomi, and Togwaggle's Scheme. That's not many.
@ Haussenfuss:You're right. I am glad about the work the mods put in, I should've phrased it differently by saying that people in general should stop making these posts. I can see why u pointed this out. *edit: My reply ended up here somehow.

I am totally with you. Lackeys like now are the only cool new thing that we saw. All the other cards are recycled and very bored. Very lazy card design like now.

Because if Blizzard disappeared then you wouldn't have anything to complain about? Anonymous fellow.

I am not anonymous. I am here. And I will repeat it after this horrible stream. They are committing suicide. They are recycling everything.
