I took everything out of the double gold guest a while back and have been playing actively everyday. I'm now sitting on 2k gold (would be 3 but I bought 10 packs not so long ago dumb me) and almost 7k dust.
About 5500 gold and had 4000 dust (out of which dumped 3200 in crafting Genn and Baku). I'll of course be getting that 3200 dust back come expansion launch day :)
PS: Oh and I'm definitely psyched about getting the 80 pack preorder. Just waiting for a good deal to come on Amazon coins :P
I never saved Gold before because everytime I got 100, I'd immediately buy a pack, however I am now taking it seriously. I have for the first time saved up 700 gold lol and about 4k dust after HoF rotation. I have also pre-ordered the mega bundle. Think I will save Gold forever now.
The folks who have 8k gold and about 10-20k dust are established F2Pers. We already have enough of the past sets to feel comfortable and know that htere's not much point to mass buying a set after about 80+ packs. Meanwhile if you just do dailies and start saving your gold a month after an expansion hits, you'll have bout 8k gold when the next expansion goes.
Once you get into that rhythm, expansions are pretty easy to handle. The trick is making sur eyou manage your dust properly, crafting the cards you REALLY want/need rather than whatever gets hyped day 1.
The folks who have 30+k dust dust a lot or all of their wild cards as well. Not sure I recommend that but there you go.
The folks who have A LOT more gold buy pre-orders. When you buy packs with cash you don't need to buy 80 packs out of gold on top of it, so it's easy to save your gold and get A LOT more dust.
