Hey guys, I've been eager to get a head start on next season's (year's) deck lists and have found even now that the Dragon package(s) that will remain in the standard rotation will actually kick butt. My games have been with a mid range Mage deck and a control Warrior deck.
What are your thoughts on this? Dragons forever or are you certain aggro will remain on top? Maybe control decks will reign for a while!
Aggro loses lots of tools this rotation, if we dont get any good ones, the game will enter unhealthy "only control" metagame. Aggro kills combo that kills control that kills aggro. Meta without any of those 3 deck types is unhealthy and boring.
It's hard to say as we haven't seen 95 % of the set yet. It only takes a few cards to enforce certain archtypes.
As always I hope to see a bit of everything: control, aggro and combo. Personally I prefer metas where aggro has strong decks as you can tech against them and the games usually are faster. E.g. people hated Odd Paladin but I loved facing when with control Priest as the games were quite easy to win. And if you want faster games you can switch to aggro.

This space is intentionally blank.

Early in the rotation aggro has always been strongest, except for when we had imba dk's + kobolds remaining.
did mammoths rule in year of the mammoth, or did ravens rule in year of the raven?
To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffer!
Well, there was only like 1 mammoth card Giant Mastodon, and a couple of raven cards Raven Familiar, Vex Crow (not even a raven lol), maybe Ravencaller also counts?
Too bad they don't really stick with the theme of the year in expansions.
