Here's the jist of the story of "The Year of the Dragon"...
Rafaam gets the fortune teller Lazul to assemble a team of baddies to assult Dalaran to steal a magical artifact, we will call this "The Maguffin". They need this Maguffin to open a sealed underground tomb either beneath Uldum (Egypt zone in World of Warcraft), or Vale of Eternal Blossoms in xpac 2. They prob get 2 more villains to join them in their affairs, and then head to their third and final destination THE PAST! We then will go to the past on Draenor for an Iron Horde Warlords of Draenor themed xpac, and the final two baddies will join the League of E.V.I.L. and we will stop them once and for all!

There wouldn't be any radical change in the direction or expected outcome of the plot just because of Dr. Boom's death. Yeah, he is a main charater, but doesn't seem to be THAT important. In the other hand, if Rafaam dies and other character assumes the leadership of the Legion of Doom ;) (and yeah, that character could be even Dr. Boom), that could actually be a plot twist, for obvious reasons (the new leader could have a different goal, different methods to achieve it, etc.).

i know what a plot twist is, but in HS, you didn't expect a characters to die, in the story it could be a plot twist since the whole plan will fail if one of the villains dies, and the story of "stealing something" changed radically after the one who stole it dies.
what i mean is, this is the biggest plot twist Year of the Dragon could come up with, don't expect any plot twist.

that's what should happen because having all the same characters is kinda dull we may have 2 of them madam lazul and rafaam for example.
First, that is pretty obvious, OP. And second, do you know what a plot/story twist actually means?
Dr.Boom dies so they replace him with another character from 2014. Kel'Thuzad.
How is that a plot/story twist of an entire story? That changes almost nothing, it's just a character dying and being replaced by other.
No, the others are Defenders of Dalaran, Mage, Hunter, Paladin and Druid.
Kripp give us this fresh info.
Possibly but not necessarily.
Lackeys are attached to the recently successful Especially ones with weak leadership. Those Quillboar biers didn't have a named leader.

Dr Boom: How about a fancy hat?
Rafaam: What?!
Hagatha: Reno and Finely have them? Swampwitch Hagatha want one too!
Dr. Boom: With a fancy hat, Dr. Boom will crush the Defenders of Dalaran.
Hagatha: CRUSH THEM!
