Runs great on my iPhone 6S. Runs very sluggishly on my iPad mini, maybe second generation. Not sure. But even then it still runs. Honestly, never experienced any unreasonable issues.
Playing on iPhone SE, the game runs very well. But the main problem for me is the fucking chat. Who the fuck decided that automatically closing the chat is a good idea?
I have to a agree with the OP. I play about 65% of the time on my iPhone X, 30% on my ipad pro and 5% on my macbook bro. Never had any issues on the macbook.
On the ipad and iphone I consistently have connection and lag issues. Lag is regardless of whether I'm on WiFi or LTE and is intermittent. Sometimes the game is unplayable, with 5-10 seconds between the time when i select an action and it actually happens. The connection issues are mostly over LTE, which looses connected way too easily and can sometimes take so long to reconnect that I lose the game. Many times I have to force quit the app and relaunch it to get it to reconnect. I just had this issue yesterday at Chicago O'hare airport on their wifi. where game kept disconnecting and reconnecting for no reason (never lost the wifi) and it cost me a game. These are not issues with the wireless, they are issues with how the app handles weak connections and drops.
I think this one has recently been fixed, but there was an issue through most of last year where after creating a new deck, the app would hang when I hit the "play" button. When I restarted, my new deck was empty. The only work around I found (I had to do this for a year mind you) was to build decks 5 cards at a time, then exit out, make sure it saved, then go back, add the next 5 cards and repeat.
On the iphone X I also have occasional issues with random turn ends, presumably because the touchscreen thinks i hit the turn-end button, when in fact I did not.
I'e lost a lot of games due to these issues, and it is really frustrating.
I was at Disney World on my phone playing Hearthstone during down time, and the game didn't count my wins in ranked mode and thus I was not awarded the ranked card for Dec 2018. It's now the only card back i'm missing from ranked play. I've opened up tons of tickets and fought tooth and nail with mods trying to get my card back, but NOPE! They told me they can do nothing and to kick rocks! They def need to improve the mobile experience!
I'm an exclusive, 100% phone-only player using an iPhone 8. No issues, save when I go through a crappy service area mid-game. I've lost a few that I had won, due to bad service. C'est la vie.
So you're complaining on behalf of other people, but you don't actually know what's wrong? I know this is the internet, but even this seems a bit too far...
For the record, I played on a 5c for years without any real problems.
How’s the connectivity in your area? I don’t think the programming is to blame on this one, mine works fine unless I have a poor connection.
If this were a wide spread issue I would guess there would be many more complaints. Disconnects are usually not programming problems but bad signal either from WiFi or cell network. Also if you are on a spotty WuFi connection with a good cell network it will use the WiFi unless you disable it.

I hate to be that guy but I’m almost 100% sure you chose casual and not ranked. Did you see the animation of the chest getting another star after every win, because you should.
I’ve played it on every single iPhone since it’s been phone compatible and I’ve never had any issue that was due to the phone. Maybe I’ve dc’d a few times in 3-4 years it been available for phones but I’ve never had crashes or any other issue which caused me to not be able to play or caused me to lose.
Perfectly fine on the performance side of it. I have a Honor 9, and previously a Xperia Z3 compact, and on both of them the app worked smoothly!
Only issue was lack of storage on the phone (Z3 compact), so i had to delete stuff to make space for the update. But it seems like they are working on making it lighter for cheaper/low memory phone! Which is good. Saying that my current honor 9 is huge on memory, not even half way through after a year and a half of use. So can't really judge the improvement anymore.
My main issue is when you play with data instead of a steady WiFi connection. When you loose connection and can't get it back in time, you just loose the game... Which pisses me off a lot when you are winning and that happens, and there goes your ranks for nothing. Unfortunately, as much as I wish it could count as a draw instead, I don't know how you could possibly change this.
But other than that, there is absolutely no issues with how the game performs on phone/tablet :)

Wow, this is a perfect example of First World problems. Calm down, dude, it's just a game.

Got to legend on iphone 8 exclusive, never played it on pc btw.
My phone is barely decent but hearthstone works fine, I don't even get fps drops, could you explain what's the problem?
What? Hearthstone is like the best mobile game I've ever played...
What's the problem? Works fine on the Galaxy S8, even got a deck tracker with overlay on Android now.
Can you not afford a better phone? 4Head

Only play on phone, iPhone 8 plus - never got any issues.
-let´s negotiate: you concede and I let you live...
Hs works better on my phone than on my pc...totally irrelevant thread...

Same.
I'm like a 95% Android player. Sure PC is a bit slicker but honestly not by a whole lot. It runs super smooth on my One Plus 5.
I basically use my PC just to open large amounts of packs, because pack opening is better on PC.
