The game runs fine on my iphone 6. It lags and is almost unplayable on my ipad air. Not sure why. Everything else runs great on my ipad air. I wish I could turn off animations or do something to get it to run better on my ipad.
I work in escalation Management and this is the textbook entry on how not to. There is 0 Information on issues at hand and 0 feedback towards any improvement needed to fix them.
Well the issue for me is that when the game is running on my ipad air it runs very slowly and laggy. Even in my collection it takes forever to turn pages and clicking on one card often ends up clicking on the wrong card. When in a game the animations are terribly slow and playing cards takes forever. The lag is so bad sometimes that I lose games or my turn ends because I can't perform actions fast enough. I would like to see ways to optimize the performance of the game on older devices that previously ran the game perfectly fine.
I typically haven't had an issue with hearthstone on my phone until just recently. It's started stalling when connecting to games (sometimes resulting in a disconnect loss or needing to reboot the program) and occasionally it'll tell me it needs to download a 0Mb or 46Mb patch (which has happened multiple times).
I don't think it's to do with the quality of my phone as although I was using a Samsung S7 until recently, I've just upgraded to the S10 and the issue remains. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling but with no success
I am not a phone user, but I have friends who are, and I used to be, and I know that this game works like crap on mobile devices. and blizzard needs to do something about it. not a lot of people are talking about this, (at least not that I know of), so I dont think blizzard feels very motivated to make a change. so I think that if this thread gets big enough, and we can get some people to bring notice to this topic on reddit and twitter and other such places, then blizzard might do something to improve the quality of this game on phones/tablets.
It works really good on expensive cellphones. Over last couple of years I tried it on 4 different phones. It worked smoothly on iPhone 6, Google Pixel 2 and even Asus Zenphone. But on Google nexus x5 it worked like crap, because phon is too weak I would assume. So if you have an old phone or a cheap phone don't expect hearthstone to work smoothly...
They (Blizzard) already addressed this in the Reddit AMA a week or two ago. And besides that, works for me just fine. It's a little slower loading screens but works good.
The biggest issue for me is that it crashes often on my crappy iPad (I think I have the oldest iPad that can run the game) in the collection manager. I think it's crashed maybe once in game.
Never had any issues on my phone and to be honest, it's a chore to play on a laptop. If it weren't for the mobile version, I wouldn't play the game at all. No lag, crashes or anything.
I'd assume they're using old, poor devices. That isn't the game's fault.
My ONLY issue with using the phone vs computer is that sometimes on my phone I'll miss a weapon swing because the cards cover my hero when clicking the cards to play. sometimes I forget my life points for the same reason since I'm so used to playing on the computer other than that I think mobile hs is really good, wish cards didn't cover your hero portrait
calm down guys, its not a contest of who has the better phone LOL
actually why would you need a high end cell phone for a 5 year old game
doesn make sense, the game should be lighter and run smother even in old phones
It is fallacy to assume that game stayed same over this 5 years... They did quite a few graphical updates to mobile clients in 2018 so it is more demanding now... But my old Nexus 5X couldn't run it properly even back in 2016 even though it was a phone released in 2015 and not even low tier one at that... So it was always somewhat demanding. 3 phones I got after Nexus worked smoothly with Hearthstone though.
I play at least half of my games on an iPhone 6S and before that I think I also already played on a 5S. The only issue I regularly face is that the Wifi on the toilet at my workplace is not so reliable, so I usually have disconnects if I forget to switch to 3G before doing my business there.

I have a mid level Nokia 7 plus, and I used to play it on a Moto Z play. Works fine. It wasn't great on my cheap Lenovo tab A8. You need some baseline specs for it to be ok.

I can only speak for iOS as I play this on both iPhone and iPad (but not any Android devices). While the PC version is slightly more easy to play, I've not really experienced any real problems on the phone. If anything, the only things that occur are connection issues (which is down to the phone's reception, not Blizzard's fault) and occasionally Fat-Tumb-itis - accidentally clicking or dragging the wrong card etc. Again, not the app's fault. If anything, the app is pretty damn seamless on mobile. The only thing I wish was different is that we can't use deck trackers on iOS - and again, this is because of how apps work on iOS and nothing to do with HS.

Tbh game is really smooth on the phone for me.
right!

Played hs for years on older iPhones, and now play it on a Motorola, never experienced any problems whatsoever

Have been playing HS on phones since it came out. And it have been like flawless the whole time.
First on a iPhone 5S then 6S and now on a 8
and i have maybe got 1-2 crashes on these years.

I play a lot on my phone, and haven't noticed any issues...
BTW the developers actually mentioned this in Redit I think, they said, that they are working on improving the Game on mobile.
Same here, lol :))
An optimization could be to reduce memory occupation, actually on my device the total amount of data is just over 3 GB.
