Well I'm here waiting for the Ulduar Themed expansion and I don't see any signs yet.
I’m not waiting for any specific Warcraft lore, but this is a perfect example of Warcraft lore that simply hasn’t been fully tapped for its potential. The same as why Whispers of the Old Gods worked so well as a set.
It depends on the writers, it depends on the lore they're using, and it depends on how faithfully they treat it and adapt it. I remember people were angry at WoToG's hypothetical scenario surrounding Ragnaros, Lightlord. It was viewed as disrespectful to Warcraft's lore. If people want more Warcraft lore implemented throughout Hearthstone's stories and expansions then they should remain open to interpretation, unless they're referring to just the Warcraft lore being retold through Hearthstone, with little to no alteration, which is lazy imo.

As I have said in most of my posts I this thread. I have zero issues with the manipulations they have made to existing characters and lore. It would be boring to just be the same story being retold exactly as is, and I can appreciate the spins and flavor they added to characters so as to simply be fun, and different, including Ragnaros. I just think that the lore implementation during a set like WotOG was on point. They tried to incorporate plenty of existing lore and have fun with it. Now instead of making the same effort, they in my opinion have gotten lazy and chosen to create stuff from scratch because there are less boundaries. Had this at least somehow resulted in a more balanced game, because maybe they spent more time on balancing and less time on story, fine. That sadly isn’t the case either. So I’d just prefer to enjoy the lore again.

Yeah I agree with you, but other people would likely have issues with reinterpretations of their favorite events and characters. I have a feeling that Blizzard is almost afraid to re-adapt stories because of backlash.

That'll do, Huffer. That'll do.
