Why is being nice while playing Hearthstone so important for so many people? I use to spam emotes all the time and I don't care if some strangers I would probably never interact again like me or not. I really don't understand you...
Because it's not only about yourself. Some of us like to contribute to everyone having a good time :)
How is this thread not closed by now?! Just another thread for Sherman to argue and insult others and missing the point of an actual discussion.
Many ways to BM. Part of the game. Nothing to get cranky about. Everyone does it. If you don't like it then squelch the emotes. If they rope every turn then concede and move on.

Wow, so much hate... You people really love to attack my persona just because my opinions differ from yours. I never insult, and of course, neither insulted anyone here, but I'm pretty sure you already know that.

Thank you and it has been reported already.
Reported for what? For having an actual discussion about the topic?

Well, that means I'm selfish then. It's fine, I can deal with it, hehe. :P
You think it is a nice greeting at the start, they think it is mockery; you think it is a compliment of their play or surprise over your top deck, they think it is BM; you think it is gg at the end, they think you are rubbing it in.
Children's card game, what can I tell you. /s
This.
I have a feeling people get more and more salty in this community. It wasn't like this in the begining. The first time i hit legend was with a budget deck and people added me cause they wanted to whish me luck with such a deck. Most of my friends on the fl are those ppl.
Because grinding for Legend is a pain in the ass when you only face a handful of decks, not a big diversity. Especially if it turns into Rock-Paper-Scissors
I spamm emotes like a boss and i do not care what the other player thinks. Afterall, his game with me and me grasing him with my emotes, is the biggest thing he will experience in his mongrel life! >:D MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I don't think you really spam emotes, do you ?
If I see someone spamming emotes my first thoughts are: this guy must be 12 years old. No f***ing wonder he plays $kill$tone, a children's card game.
Didn't know only teenagers can behave as assholes. XD
Because spamming emotes is childish.
A simple ''thank you'' whenever your opponent concedes is enough bm I think. More than that is just asking to be squelched and feels immature.

And why should I feel bad for being childish and immature while playing a video game? That doesn't mean I'm like that all the time.
From what I've learnt over the years is that it's never polite as the winner to say good game to the loser. It's usually the loser who should offer the good game as good sportsmanship. You saying goodgame as the winner can come off as rubbing it in

Well.. you can be what you want, all I'm saying is when my opponent simply says ''thank you'' as bm when he wins or greetings, I will be triggered and be thinking what a piece of shit.. when my opponent spams emote all game I'm thinking this guy is just childish, I don't really feel bm'd and triggered, even when he finishes with a thanks
People get tilted over the tiniest things. I always say Hello at the start and Well Played at the end. With a courteous Wow if my opponent opens with Lakkari Sacrifice or plays a card that I haven't seen played in ages (Nat Pagle).
This thread is just sensitive left-wing maniacs arguing with rude right-wing maniacs. You don't have to be nice on the internet or in Hearthstone. Yes it would be better if everyone was courteous in real life, but this is just an online game. If you get easily offended by the opponent's emotes then just squelch them at the start of the game or take a break from Hearthstone and do something else you have in your life.

As a devout centrist (with a healthy fear of new age "left-wingers"), I find this a confusing comment. Do you mean the lefties are getting triggered by the BM or they are the spoiled, sensitive ones who feel the need to take their unfulfilled-ness out on opponents in a game by spamming?
(methinks it be the latter) :-p

I feel the lefties have thin skin and are the ones perpetuating the problem with emotes and BM. The ruder users can actually take the perceived insults from their opponent. If you're playing any online game or you're on the internet talking with anyone, then you need to have a thick skin and be able to absorb insults. This thread, for example, almost devolved into Sherman arguing with anyone that disagrees with their viewpoint. The moderators are trying their best to police the situation, but similarly don't want to take any political sides.
When I win or opponent concedes I don't ever emote WP. If opponent emotes WP to me once I win I always say WP back to them. Never do I say, "Thanks". I am not a douche bag.

4/3/19 RIP Keith Flint. 😔
My opponent: "THE LIGHT SHALL BURN YOU!"
ME: (instantly triggered)

people honestly care about some random player you'll never meet again who might as well be a robot for all you know?
jeez, first world problems

That'll do, Huffer. That'll do.

I have come up with a way to reduce the BM problem, or increase it by 10,000%!!!

How can anyone take people that get triggered by 10 letters in a cloud seriously?
