So do you guys know how the dust refund will work? As a f2p played I don't have Genn and Baku, should I craft them golden to get more dust or it is not worth it?
Also epic cards that are going to Hall of Fame, I only have 1 copy of those. Do I craft the 2nd golden or they both have to be golden to get the best possible refund?
craft the golden version of everything you can, you get to keep the card and will get the full cost refunded for them, there's one thing, you only get dust refunded from maximum copies you can have in a deck, so if you have for example 2 genns, you'll only get refunded for the most expensive one (in case of one being golden) or for only one (in case that both are non-golden), then when you get the dust refund you can decide wether to keep the cards or disenchant them for the normal disenchant rate 1/4th of the price.

If I have 2 Epics (1 golden and the other not) I will be refunded as if both were golden?

No. You'll get refunded 1600 dust for the golden one, and 400 for the normal one.
It is not worth to craft a golden copy of a card you have a non golden version. Craft only what you are missing.
I don't know about that. One could always dust the non-golden version and craft golden version, that way when refunded the dust from the non-golden version is net gain.

I don't know about that. One could always dust the non-golden version and craft golden version, that way when refunded the dust from the non-golden version is net gain.
If you want to maximize your dust it is not worth.
Example: you have regular Genn. If you do not do nothing you get 1600 dust. If you craft a golden one you get 400 dust from the nongolden one and you get the refunded dust from the golden one, so it will be +400+3200-3200 a net of 400 dust only
+1600 Dust (you get for owning one copy of the normal version of the card)
=0 + normal copy in collection = +400 Dust
Option 3: Crafting the golden version:
-3200 Dust (you pay for crafting)
+3200 Dust (you get for owning one copy of the golden version of the card)
= 0 + golden copy in collection = +1600 Dust
Option 4: crafting the normal and golden version:
-1600 Dust (crafting normal copy)
-3200 Dust (crafting golden copy)
+3200 Dust (you get for owning one copy of the golden version of the card)
+ 0 Dust (for owning the normal copy of the card)
= -1600 Dust + normal copy + golden copy = +400 Dust
=> depending on the dust you have available craft either one golden copy only or at least one normal copy of the card. I would not advise crafting both copies if your interest is maximizing Dust value though.
+1600 Dust (you get for owning one copy of the normal version of the card)
= 1600 Dust + normal copy of the card = 2000 Dust
Option 2: crafting the olden version of the card
-3200 Dust (for crafting the golden copy of the card)
+3200 Dust (you get for owning the golden copy of the card
+0 Dust (for owning the normal copy of the card)
= 0 + normal copy of the card + golden copy of the card = 2000 Dust
=> Both options result in the same amount of dust. The pro of the 2nd option is that you have a golden copy of the card to play - on the contrary you need to have an extra 3200 Dust to begin with.
It's very easy. Craft only in gold version what are you missing to maximize the profit.
Wherever card you own already, don't need to craft unless you want collect all the cards in golden version.
For example. I have a not gold Baku and I'm missing Genn. I will craft only a golden Genn. I will get refund 1600 for Baku, total profit 1600 + 400 if I will dust it; and 3200 for Genn, total profit 1600 dust if I dust it.
There is an option completely missing here, which is if you have normal copies and enough dust to craft golden copies just to disenchant.
I have normal copies of all of these cards, and don't care about golden cards. However, if I craft all of these cards in golden, and then disenchant them after the refund, I will have a net gain of 16000 dust.
16k is a lot of dust when you don't care about golden cards :)

That's wrong. If you have regular versions and craft golden ones, then disenchant the golden ones, you can only profit off of commons (With a net gain of 10 dust per common). For rares/epics/legendaries you get the same dust as if you just didn't do anything

You are so wrong. You must spend 16k dust to get it back 16k dust. So at the end you get the value of the cards you already own. And they are giving you already the dust for the cards you own.
Completly false - you should craft everything in gold version even if you have normal version - it's simply FREE dust. And this year it's A LOT of dust - 4000 just from 2 leggos and 4 epics

If you have enough dust:
I hope I didn't make any mistake. Just keep in mind that only the two most expensive copies count.
This is an excellent summary.
There are different options and results, I'll go through them one by one:
Legendaries
Assuming you have no copy of Baku the Mooneater/Genn Greymane you have 4 different options:
Option 1: doing nothing
- 0 Dust
+ 0 Dust
= 0 Dust + no changes in the collection = 0 Dust
Option 2 crafting the normal version of the card
-1600 Dust (you pay for crafting)
Assuming you have one normal copy of Baku the Mooneater/Genn Greymane you have 2 different options:
Option 1: doing nothing
- 0 Dust
+1600 Dust (you get for owning one copy of the normal version of the card)
= 1600 Dust + normal copy of the card = 2000 Dust
Option 2: crafting the olden version of the card
-3200 Dust (for crafting the golden copy of the card)
+3200 Dust (you get for owning the golden copy of the card
+0 Dust (for owning the normal copy of the card)
= 0 + normal copy of the card + golden copy of the card = 2000 Dust
Assuming you have one golden copy of Baku the Mooneater/Genn Greymane you have 2 different options:
Option 1: doing nothing
- 0 Dust
+3200 Dust (you get for owning one copy of the golden version of the card)
= 3200 Dust + golden copy = 4800 Dust
Option 2: crafting the normal version of the card
-1600 Dust (for crafting the golden copy of the card)
+3200 Dust (you get for owning the golden copy of the card
+0 Dust (for owning the normal copy of the card)
= 1600 + normal copy + golden copy = 3600 Dust
=> Option 1 is strictly better. You have no benefit of crafting the normal copy whatsoever.
Epics
Assuming you have no copy of Gloom Stag or Glitter Moth you have 6 different options:
Option 1: Doing nothing
- 0 Dust
+ 0 Dust
= 0 Dust + no changes in the collection = 0 Dust
Option 2: Crafting one normal version of the card
- 400 Dust (for crafting a normal copy of the card)
+ 400 Dust (for owning 1 normal version of the card)
= 0 + one normal copy = 100 Dust
Option 3: Crafting two normal versions of the card
- 800 Dust (for crafting two normal copies of the card)
+ 800 Dust (for owning two normal versions of the card)
= 0 + two normal copies = 200 Dust
Option 4: Crafting one golden version of the card
- 1600 Dust (for crafting one golden copy of the card)
+ 1600 Dust (for owning one golden version of the card)
= 0 + one golden copy = 400 Dust
Option 5: Crafting two golden versions of the card
- 3200 Dust (for crafting two golden copies of the card)
+ 3200 Dust (for owning two golden versions of the card)
= 0 + two golden copies = 800 Dust
Option 6: Crafting one normal and one golden version of the card
- 400 Dust (for crafting one normal copy of the card)
- 1600 Dust (for crafting one golden copy of the card)
+ 400 Dust (for owning one normal copy of the card)
+ 1600 Dust (for owning one golden copy of the card)
= 0 + one normal copy + one golden copy = 500 Dust
=> If you have the dust craft 2 golden copies
Assuming you have one normal copy of Gloom Stag or Glitter Moth you have x different options:
work in progress
I will go on editing this post for the other cases
There's a thread explaining this well in the Card Discussion forum:
