it might not be ''p2w'' but it's still a solo content locked behind a paywall
you're not wrong that it's locked behind a "paywall" but many players have been complaining that solo content has been lacking for a while now. So they go back to the style of the solo content that was enjoyed by many and add a little extra and people are upset because they have the option of $20 or saving up fake in game money to play it?
I'm surprised I haven't seen a thread about this yet.
This new adventure is worth 19.99 or 700 gold per wing (there are 5 wings). It is the same thing as the old adventures, since they are releasing those 1 month after the expansion, it's the equivalent of them releasing 6 expansions a year (3 adventures and 3 full xpac, assuming there's an adventure 1 month after all the sets)
So isn't the game becoming even more expensive ? Not sure if we should be happy about it.
If don't have a separated set of card you can't craft what is the problem?
What is the problem if you receive better content for the price. I prefer to pay and play something interesting, than to play to something boring as boom’s puzles for free. My time is more important to waste it for boring content. Paying is the way world work. The most important thing is content to be worth paying.

I THINK the assumption some are making is that the adventures will be similar to old ones. I know if I picture the wings being similar or perhaps just 'longer' versions of LoE or Frozen Throne then it would feel like getting a little jipped.
If you are picturing, say, the each 'wing' being as big as Rumble Run or the like then it's the free content being hte same as before and being able to pay for 5 times as much of it. THAT seems like a good thing.
So A LOT comes down to how much you trust Team 5s content. That's a VERY loaded question with absolutely 0 actual evidence in their support. I'm willing to put my 2 cents in there but I'm certainly not attempting to soften the negative press. Team 5 needs to feel the heat and know they really REALLY need to knock this one out of the park.
Solo adventures haven't awarded actual unique cards in a while now. Where is the assumption that solo adventures means anything other than solo content and a few packs (and thus equaling 3 extra expansions) coming from?
I'm kind of irked my how much of a gold sink it is. 2800 gold for 4 wings with 12 regular packs and a gold pack (the other wing and 3 packs are free). Personally, I don't value a gold pack at anywhere near 1600 gold. Dust value of a gold pack is probably a bit under 500, so the rough equivalent of 17 packs for the prices of 28. Almost half the gold cost from the adventure doesn't go into cards.

Don't forget the Golden *exclusive* Legendary. Plus of course the 4 wings.
You know you can get it with gold right? And it's not hard to hold your wad til you have enough. It's also optional unlike getting an actual set of cards like the real adventures. It's not a paywall if you don't actually need to pay to get it. Jeez.

So is that to say it counts in the "First 10 guaranteed legendary" bracket? Does it represent its own "expansion timer" or is this solely just immune?

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
