Agree with the deck choices. I don’t play any OTK deck but they’re fun to play against. It’s a race against the clock sort of fight, different but still fun. And again, yes, the only deck I can’t stand is odd warrior. It’s like the whole deck was designed just to be a dick and win by wasting your time...
Hate BMing though, like you already won why be an ass? You say you wont waste their time by roping but griefing people when they’re trying to have fun in their fleeting spare time seems like a much worse way to ensure their time is wasted.
Reading through this forum and others. People seems to believe that the right path to play Hearthstone is among other thing a non-emoting player playing only homebrew midrange(pleb)/control(elite) deck in constructed. This is not how I enjoy this game. And I like playing in a way that seems to be frowned upon (not that I care). I might just be an HS scumbag.
Proof #1 - OTK deck
I like deck that have a win condition, I really enjoy playing with/against OTK. Some of my favorite cards of all time includes Mecha'thun, Malygos or Ice Block. I like playing those Exodia or 100+dmg OTK decks and playing against it is relatively easy either with Tech Cards or specific Decks (see #2 & #3). My favorite OTK decks of the moments are: - (std) Gallery Priest (T1) - (std) Miracle Druid (T2) - (wild) Fast Thun Renolock (meme) - (wild) Draw-Freeze-Burn Mage (homebrew) - (wild) Malygos Druid (T3)
Proof #2 - Aggro deck
Like it or not I do like aggro deck as well, I like going all-in the first turns and fast game, especially when I don’t always have the time to play (when I have to go to work or during a coffee break). I don’t mind playing against aggro deck because when I lose it’s fast and I can move on to the next game. And if you break their momentum, well, you have won.
My favorite Aggro decks (only wild) - (wild) Pirate Warrior (T2) - (wild) Pre-nerf Odd Rogue (so long old friend) - (wild) Aggro Kingsbane Rogue (T1)
Proof #3 - Mill deck
Mill deck are my favorite deck of all time. And (control) people seems to hate it deeply :/. I assume because of the polarized matchup. I actually like to play and tech against my polarized matchup and winning those games takes skill (and a bit of luck). I mean winning against an aggro deck with a mill deck is the BEST feeling ever.
(also Coldlight Oracle being HoFed out of standard was one of my saddest HS moment)
Midrange and control seems to be everyone favorite playstyle...
I despise Tempo/Midrange decks which usually comes too playing minion on curve and out tempo the opponent. It does takes skill but is boring as fuck. (go play arena that’s the same IMHO).
I hate no-win-condition control decks.. Looking at you Odd Warrior doing nothing but armoring up and clearing the minions.. What a game, playing for 40-f**ing min before losing.. Thanks, but no thanks. Same goes for Quest Priest. Actually one of the reason I started to play Mill and OTK decks.
Proof #5 - Netdecking
I don’t always have a lot of time (father and full-time employed), to stay up to date with the meta I do netdeck then I might start tweaking those deck according to the local meta. But lot of people have spent time refined those deck and If I want to go to rank 5 as soon as possible and fool/memeing around the rest of the season, it is easier to netdeck what is OP. On top of that playing a (net)deck allows to see it’s weakness which is useful for when you’ll play against it.
Proof #6 - T1 decks in casual
I don’t like quests. I don’t want to be forced to play a deck I don’t enjoy. “Playing 3 dragon” or “3 win with Hunter” means I’ll use my T1 decks in casual to be done with it. Sorry, but again, not enough time to play stuff I don’t enjoy.
Proof #7 - BMing
Emoting seems to trigger some special snowflakes, it’s part of the game. It’s a game about a f**king battle between heroes… bming adds to the atmosphere in my opinion if you don’t like it just squelch your opponent. I do some soft BMing as well (see my comment in “Do you BM?” A Hearthstone Confessional)
The only thing I’ll never do is to rope on purpose, I don’t have time, I won’t waste yours.
Conclusion
I'm sorry my way of playing this game impact negatively yours, but suck it up and play whatever makes you happy.
You are lucky then to be part of Team-5's target audience. You can call yourself a scumbag because card designers want you to be a scumbag. Because your type of player is apt to buy the most packs. You are just a target of a well thoughtout marketing strategy.
Since you ar very proud of yourself, it shows that debilitating, mind-numbing card design pays off in likewise decks and archetypes that you like playing.
To be proud and happy about playing debilitating and mind-numbing decks, uncovers the total shamelessness and repulsive dumbification of developers' succes.
You are dumbified by developers and you make yourself a showcase of their abhorrancy. They mock your intelligence with mindless decks... and you love it. They take away your selfrespect and selfesteem… and you rejoice in it.
Rejoicing without realizing that factually you are being mocked and rediculed - because they consider you a dumb ass, that can't handle a higher skill floor or more difficult win conditions - is one of the most tragic things that can happen to a human being.
Making a buck from the enjoyment of stupidity is one of the most puzzling things of HS succes.

Just my opinion on what you said
1/3 OTK/infinite value/mill decks are annoying to fight (for slower decks) because they force them to not play the way you want (and many times there still Is almost nothing they Can Do),hence there's a reason for All the hate they get (no other deck does that),also the hate towards combo Is due to a relative lack of dirty rat-like cards in standard, sure there are some soft answers but that's not even close to enough.
As a sidenote i actually enjoyed(ed) playing against (never had dust to craft it) taunt druid as you could beat him (VERY hard i admit) AFTER he pulled off the combo (i.e. what i think every combo deck should be like).
2 aggro Is not bad,it's just annoying (to me) that you litterally don't get to play the deck you made but Just the First 8/9 cards.
4 i know GOOD control decks are obnoctious to fight for zoo (or similar) archetypes, actually I love playing them (e.g. odd/odd quest warrior, quest priest,a slower (kinda homebrew)version of elemental mage....) to exaust other players so i guess i'm a scumbag too, but what makes them (IMO) more """"""ethic"""""" (it's just a game After All) is the fact that vs them you are still trying to win with the playstyle you love, it's up to them to make that not happen, you have to adapt your strategy, sure, but at the core: a SMORC deck Will try and SMORC,tempo Tries to out-tempo and so on.
The other points i have no issue with (only reason i never emote Is because i know most people hate them).
Forgive some grammar/syntax mistakes i might have made to (futile attempt) try and shorten this.
No clap back for a while now, I guess it had to go to work or something. This thread isn't so much about the purported topic as it is about a desperate entity seeking attention and validation. Google NPD - people with it aren't people and I would hope no one ever has to experience it in a family member or loved one first hand because it is fucking horrible. Sad thing is US president has it too, textbook case.

To me, none of these are problematic except point 6, which is Blizzard's fault for not making a no-gold & no-quest game mode where playing is only for the fun of it .

What? Stop exaggerating, please. Also, leave the God Emperor of Mankind (also known as Donald Trump) out of this. Thank you!
I was on board until you said you love Mill decks.... that's just a degenerate way to not play the game, fuck that shit
Mill decks are so awesome and Hearthstone needs more of them! Teachers players to think on the fly with out all their key pieces.
No... it teaches you what a polarized match-up is and why it's terrible for a card game
And I am that guy who only plays Hearthstone to counter and troll scum like you. I'm not any better.
Judging by some of the reactions here, you are also a scumbag for opening this thread.

You answered your own question, pal, it is because BMing is fun! ;)
You’re a huge fucking tool for # 6
Everything else isn’t bad
Did someone call for a fork?

LMAO, awesome post! XD
Wait... isn't the OP an elitist telling us there is a higher ground of playing this game?
Father and employed, yet time to post this garbage 🤨

Narcissist, definitely.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
You're really toxic
Even better is the fact that he uses lack of time as an excuse for some of his 'scumbag' reasons. Yet he made this abomination of a post.

Thanks for #3, it gave me idea for beast mill corpsetaker rogue and i am having a blast with it:)
I do what I must, when I must. Know this well.
