Had a couple of ideas recently that I think may help new players and deck builders as well as those deck collectors and of course Blizzard (or they'd never implement these as new features)
Firstly I know a lot of new players struggle in crafting a decent meta deck to climb ladder and it can be a risk to craft specific cards without knowing if they like or can pilot the deck well. Also some innovative folks that want to deck build, may not have a full collection to build a new deck from.
So how about a temporary timer to allow full disenchantment value when crafting a new card! I realise a lot would need to be taken into account to stop abusing the system for eg. Crafting/disenchanting the same cards to continually use a deck without actually investing any dust. But I really think this could help new players or F2P users try a deck without fully committing all their dust. It would also allow deck builders to try a deck on ladder and encourage much more creativity to see if a deck is viable without full commitment of dust. It would also encourage the trial of the cards deemed 'bad' for at least trial in certain decks as they would likely never be crafted if you didnt own them already
My second idea is just one for fun. We all have cards especially legendaries we opened and wished we had gotten them golden or have favourate decks that would be amazing full golden. So how about an upgrade feature where you just pay the dust difference to upgrade to golden. I.e. 360 for common, 700 for rare, 1200 for epic and 1600 for legendary. The disenchantment values stay the same but there is an upgrade option to change a card to golden where you are credited with the full value of the card. Again it would need some thought. Possible limits on number of upgrades per (insert time frame here) etc but I think it would encourage some people to buy more packs if they want specific golden cards in their collection. This helps the card collecting crowd and Blizzard and means if you really wanted a certain card golden but got the regular version in a pack it's actually a positive because you can now upgrade it rather than crafting from scratch.
What do you think folks think of the ideas in general? Like I mentioned I realise that how they would be implemented would need to be heavily considered to stop abuse but in general do you think these ideas might help and make the game more fun overall?
