Do you think they are being completely forthcoming regarding what they say? At least try to use a bit of critical thinking when you consider an issue.
No I don't expect them to say every reason. I am sure money will enter the story, but even then it is unclear that changes anything because if they truly make the game better then they keep the player base and make more money.
The point here is their reasons are rational and were justified. You are welcome to disagree but you need to provide evidence for your argument. Hey, I am quite willing to be convinced if you have stronger evidence.
Unless a dev goes on record there won't be evidence indicating that equality was bumped up 2 due to Baku. Given that all the other nerfs were one and this one was two, all we can do is surmise the reason behind that. A 2 mana cost increase nerf doesn't happen that frequently, last one was GI and I can't even remember the one before that. In regards to my point regarding legendaries, again all we have to do is look at their actions (instead of statements or interviews). When was the last legendary nerf? Raza? I can't even remember. IMO they are indirectly nerfing legendaries by nerfing cheaper cards, the evidence for that would be the indirect Shudderwock nerf (when Grumble was the more logical target) and now this.
They can say whatever they want, and I have no issue with a for-profit company making money. I do have an issue with the classic set being screwed around with unnecessarily.
Blade Flurry was nerfed from 2 mana to 4 mana AND had it's text changed.
But you are right. We can't trust the developers. Not unless we test them with polygraphs. Second thought. Maybe waterboarding is called for.

Blade Flurry, right - as I said it's super infrequent.
Yup, that's exactly what I'm saying lol. Your reading comprehension is something to behold.

Um, the video I pointed you to does have a dev going on record about this. I even said that in my post.
2 mana nerfs are rare yes, but that doesn't force odd/even considerations to be the reason. Both GI and Equality are still playable cards, so the 2 mana nerf is fair. In the case of GI I suspect Quest Rogue was partially at fault (at 6 you could Shadowstep and play it again in 10 mana).
Aviana (a legendary) was nerfed very recently. But whether a legendary is the right card to nerf is not clear just because it gives the most dust. I am not against Grumble being the target to hit Shudderwock, but that would only have slowed an already slow guaranteed death in standard. It wouldn't have actually changed much. Hitting Saronite actually stops it and makes Shudderwock the fun card it was designed to be. (That said, I DO think Shudder was a mistake to begin with.)
Finally onto changing Classic and Basic. Again the dev addressed concerns for new players in the ValueTown video. Essentially it is very difficult to convey but the increased number of events and good value bundles is an effort to compensate for it. Perhaps that is not enough, but we cannot deny it is something that helps. As for the effect on veteran players, they want to see the game change and feel fresh. Most of them welcome changes to old cards. Just because the card has been around a long time doesn't mean it isn't the root cause of current problems.
Look, I have better things to do than have an endless discussion on this, so I'll summarise where I stand and leave it at that: I have faith in the devs. They make mistakes, both in card design and sometimes in choices of nerfs. Of course they do, there are over 400 new cards each year and so many variables that getting everything right is impossible. Not to mention it is impossible to please everyone when there is such a diverse community. But through that I still believe they aim to make the best decisions they can for the game as a whole. The changes they make are not to spite people or strip them of dust.
Maybe I am not enough of a cynic, but I do encourage you to watch the ValueTown video and do so with an open mind. Listen to what is said and if you disagree, then fine so long as you can back up your view against their's.

Last legendary nerfed was Aviana. :)
Most people that are against nerfs (like Kibler) are asking for complete removal of classic set. Do you support this ? or you believe that they should leave classic set untouched ?
And Flametongue Totem + Voltaic Burst thats a 6 attack rush minion and a 4/3 body for only 3 mana and synarge very well with hero power ... thats insane
Cold Blood + Southsea Deckhand is a 6 attack charge minion for only 2 mana no need for leeroy and rogue always has a dildo in hand ...
nerfs seem that they all share the 1 fact .they all are insane cheap 2 cards combos ....
Those are completely different things that have nothing to do with equality/execute/hunter's mark.
