I get it, rogues have lifesteal weapons, and they go infinite. but I just find it annoying when a rogue steals your deathknight, then every rogue card they play upgrades their weapon. and then tess greymane plays every rogue card they have played.
I think blizzard should fix this. and make it so that deathknights wont change your class, only hero power and portrait. its just that facing against a 6/10 lifesteal weapon that is only getting bigger is very annoying
Not the card, the mechanic that makes rogue cards count as other class' cards when yoy have another dk equipped, it's definitely neither the way it was intended to work nor the way it should work
I'm pretty sure it's what was intended. When you play a hero card, you become that hero, and therefore are no longer your previous one. If the new one happens to be a different class, that's not wrong. That's what makes sense thematically.
I have played maybe 200 games with my thief rogue deck with spectral cutlass. Ist a deck that can go mostly to rank 15. Ist super fun, but very inconsistent. Its more or less 100% loss against agro decks. Ist only works against control where you have time to gather cards from other classes and buff your weapon. If you get trash from the stolen cards, you are fucked, if your weapon gets removed with buffs....fucked, if you face a rogue as opponent...fucked....against otk...yeeah right, fucked....
Its really just a meme deck for fun. Try play it yourself and after a 3-10 ratio on rank 17 you can think again about it how unfair it is.
The 6/10 lifesteal weapon you will maybe have one time in 20 games.
That right is motivated by their low average winrate, and their consequent low population in the meta.
Being defeated by a meme deck may be frustrating, but I don't see how losing to a meme Rogue in 1/100 ladder games is worse than losing 1/3 of your games against meta decks.
In context, Thief Rogue is a slow Midrange deck. If you play on Tempo, you should overpower them faster than they can react. If you play Control, it's your fault not having the proper tech card against weapons.
I am not whining for a nerf. nor am I salty about losing to thief rogue. I am just asking if you think the deathknight/spectral cutlass interaction should work like it does.
Yes, I think the deathknight/spectral cutlass interaction should work like it does and is completely fine. The deck has no extreme winrate, is not so common as Odd Rogue for example and if your opponent is SO lucky he got DK from your class, playing Tess after this hero will destroy the super buffed weapon as was said before in this thread.

It is the way it was intended to work, and it is the way it should work, because it's mad fun and swag af. Interactions that require class cards from different classes, and are this completely RNG-dependent, can be completely crazy, and that's OK
I play Harrison Jones in just about every deck since it's free draw and a weapon destroy, and even if you're facing a hero that isn't very weapon centric, it's still a 5/4 that has to be taken care of.
