Defile half the time doesn't require a second card to combo with. And Warlock cards are supposed to be weaker than other classes due to life tap. Yet here is this 2 mana full board clear.
Nerf these problematic cards instead of classic and base cards blizzard pls.
They have nerfed multiple cards on the past like Patches before they rotate out to make it fairer for Wild.
So just the fact that its rotating out soon makes no sense as a argument. (Especially since the hunter spellstone just got nerfed even though its rotating out soon too)

Classic cards that are too strong and virtual auto includes have a target on their head. Equality is such a card. Without a nerf or HOF, it would be in every non-aggro Paladin forever.
Defile will rotate out of Standard. It won't be in every Standard Warlock deck forever. I don't care whether its in Wild. Wild is full of broken stuff. It fits in there.
Defile is strong against you because you keep setting up the board for it.
Equality works all the time.
Exactly. And playing aggro doesn't stop us from playing around it. They usually need hellfire when we plsy around defile
Okay, let's assume I'm playing aggro.
I"ll play around it by not playing my minions and playing the long game.
Wait, that's a bad idea, any aggro deck loses instantly if they don't do anything for one of the early turns.
So therefore, one card has completely shut down tons of decks. And that isn't exactly rare, but what is rare is they doing that for two mana.
that while still being amazing against any deck that isn't aggro that has minions on the board. Getting punished for having more than one minion. How stupid.
I'm surprised this is a thread. Defile is powerful, but you can (relatively easily) play around it if you're being situationally aware.
Equality/Consecration was nothing more than a cancer combo that gave insta-board clear and massive tempo swings twice a game, and there's literally nothing you can do about it.
I don't agree with sentiments that defile is that easy to play around or that equality is/was OP or cancerous
but I think probably because, Equality is sticking around longer & it's also good in aggressive decks (unlike defile) so it was considered 'too auto-include'
Equality was vital for the only class in game which makes board control it's only victory condition...
People should do a class comparison before calling random nerf and blizzard has to stop listening to every fucking cry especially when the problem doesn't exist ...

Defile will rotate out. Ergo, this comparison is pointless.

Defile requires a a board state that is not easy to achieve, equality you just play and done.

Meanwhile... back at the legion of Doomsayer ...
“The End is Coming...!!!”
“Put your faith in the Light!”

Stop walking into Defile, silly. It's fine if you make them set it up, but don't do it for them.
Equality doesn't care about anything except Divine Shield.
Nature is the Day.
Man is the Sun.
Woman is the Moon.
The Stone is the Sky.
The Art is the Way.
I cannot believe these are basic strong cards not op but yea strong that got nerfed. Absolutely no dust
