BREAKING NEWS------COMPANY MAKES MONEY! - - - GAMERS IN SHOCK! - ----
Seriously. I've been playing since 2014 and the changes have been huge. More Gold for daily quests, easier Quest Completion, more free packs every Expansion, good deals if you are willing to pay for them (like the current Lunar New Year deal, buy 15 get 15 free), the list goes on.
You can't have everything free you know. And you have to thank P2Players if your are F2P because it's people like me that keep the game ostensibly Free.
In today's episode of HOW.TO.SPOT.A.BAD!? we give you the following clue: they complain about the amount of legendary cards although only 2-3 legendary cards per set are actually viable and others are just trash!
There are too many cards so players don't have enough variety in their collection to allow them to make various decks because the card pool is too big making it hard to keep up in the standard format and your solution is to make the format rotate even faster? GENIUS!
Many of us know that Blizzard can't ever do anything right when it comes to economy, rewards and offering. They have been catering to F2P players a lot more, but it's never enough. Blizzard is just unlucky to have one of the most hard-to-please and ungrateful audiences in gaming. Many are, or choose to be, ignorant of how a business should operate, if it wishes to even operate at all.

- the cost of the game becomes a serious problem and this is already mentioned by streamers (Kibler has youtube video on this)
- Game time increased, this is a fact (you have DKs, better card draw for aggro and better defensive tools overall), this impacts gold grind.
- Free packs and promotions / bundles are very welcome but obviously this does not cover for the inflation in card printing, whats the point of printing so many cards without being accessed by players? we can not even test the cards so how will we have variety and creativeness in the game?

I like Kibler, but I would never would quote him as a source for viable changes to any game.

Player complains about the economy of the game as a consumer of said game ===========> BAD! Obviously the only reason to want legendaries is to shove them up your ass for an easy rocket ride to Legend. This clearly has to do with "skill" (whatever that means in HS) and not economy.
But your second paragraph makes plenty of sense, and nullifies most of OP's points anyway. You should just erase the dumb first part.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished

Please provide link to Kibler video, as well as proof that gametime has increased. And if you can’t, STFU.

Pretty sure people have made Legend with F2P decks. So your argument is idiotic.

It's a game that's going to die out.. one reason is the game economy. Just compare HS with Magic. Magic got such a nice and simple econmy structure. w.e. blizz screwed it up :)

I really, really missed this kind of comments, my dear Hearthpwners. Always so nice and gentle with others, you really are an example to follow, a perfect example of human warmth. XD
From what i read and from personal experience the game is more expensive then its early days but its also more rewarding in terms of gold quests. For f2p is decent has u will be able to run one of the cheaps t2 or t1 decks that always exist.
If u think about it it kinda makes sense. If u wanna be a f2p then u can be competitve with one deck if u want to experience the full variety in HS then u should invest money.
Not to mention that if u grind for a year as a f2p and be smart in ur choices u will be able to run several and expensive decks. Cant always try everything but its still very flexible. I have a f2p account for 14 months and can confirm this

Many were thinking drop HS entirely for Artifact until the game flopped hard. Stancifica or whats the name reallly took a bullet there. Savjz plays Magic which aint a bad choice but didn't skyrocket like he wanted. Many thought that switching to either Magic or Artifact would make them as successful as Ninja got by switching to Fortnite before it got big.
Except the casual structure of HS is what makes it a hit and why nothing has come close to it. Magic Arena is a good alternative but as long as HS is the King ppl will still need to pay tribute and stream it or die

Hey, it's not fair to just blame Hpwners that roundly! xD Getting aimlessly shit-talked by TardisGreen before he runs away from the thread is basic procedure to Hearthpwn by this point.

Nice joke there.
Just buying the pre-order every expansion and doing dailies can get you pretty much everything you need. $150/year isn't much if HS is your main hobby
