He is incredibly versitile and useful in almost every situation. Great against in any deck, neutral so he can be used in every non-odd deck. Suprised it's only 27.5 tbh
I think he’s used because of the combination of his effects: deal 3 damage to a minion and heal 3 to your hero, summon a 3/2 with taunt and life steal. The value on the damage and healing is about 2.5 and the value on the minion is 3 ish but the combined effect is strong enough to give it about 6.5 mana worth of value making it a powerful card.
Most played legendary and is in 27.5% of decks. I got the stats from HsReplay.
Is he really that strong??. Or do people only like his rush + heal??.
The Ultimate Badass
Taunt+Rush+heal+divine shield is great for decks that have resurrect or cube. It's also magnetic! Also, rush and lifesteal are really strong mechanics so it's both that people like that combination and that it's strong
It's a good card after giggling inventor got nerfed it fill the 5 mana spot very well. It also give healing to some classes that don't have easy access to it
Cause he's an insane card that goes a long way against aggro and has a super powerful effect, every deck that runs really appreciate it's usefulness against aggro and almost every single one of them has a way to abuse it to completely shut down aggro. It's just a solid card that heals for at least 6 and kills 2 minions usually. and if it doesn't it still just soaks up a lot of damage.
It's because of the numbers. At the very least, when you play it and hit something, you get an 6 hp advantage, 3 damage 3 healing. If you hit the face, then your opponent has to deal with it to do anything. They can either play a card to clear it right away or they'll have to attack it. If you hit face, then there's 12 more hp advantage, 6 to break divine, 6 to kill it. If you have to use 1/1s then that's a 18 hp advantage. Even if you're at full health, you're getting a 3,6,9,12 damage from 1 5 mana play.
It has way too much value, that's why people use it.
There's a decent chance he'll heal for 6 unless your opponent uses a spell or ability on it. Compared to Lifedrinker and other cards like Fire Plume Phoenix it's a good trade off for 1-2 more mana. (Bash or SI:7 Agent)
Perhaps the most versatile card ever made. He fits in every Odd deck, rogue deck, mech deck, res priest, Hunter, OTK Warlock, etc. It's just really fucking good.

It's DINNER TIME
I always though he was over rated! But I did end up putting him in my Mech Bomber deck.
Can be combined with another mech for a insane heal plus he's great at keeping you alive against agressive decks.

counterquestion, why not?
kinda charge but double lifegain most of the time, count me in
These are some of the reasons I like it:
Rush with Lifesteal means that you are guaranteed the +3 Health gains (unless your opponent has a counter like Frozen Trap in play for example).
Taunt, so if your opponent can't remove them with a spell on their turn they have to trade with it giving you another +3 Health.
Divine Shield means he could potentially live till your next turn and at least last for your opponent's turn.
Magnetic, so good synergy with Mechs giving you more lifesteal and taunt goodness.
On a lesser note also good for giving Corpse Taker taunt and divine shield. Also can be draw with Town Crier and Countess Ashmore.
Dr. 5
Audaces fortuna juvat.

Not sure if hyped yet.
It's essentially 3 damage, 6 healing, and a 3/2 taunt, all combined, which is a great deal for 5 Mana. Amazing anti-aggro tool
Don't forget Corpsetaker synergy
Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
really good card but not broken either imo
Many keywords does great things it does

It is the best 5 mana card in the game, because it can be played in every class, in aggro, control, or OTK decks.
You cant hit the face its rush not charge
