Let's just hope the power level is somwhere around WW/Boom/Rumble for the upcoming sets. The last thing we need is another mean streets/frozen throne expansion that will dominate the meta the next two years. We already have the even/odd decks which are annyoing enough.
The problem is that aggro and other fast decks are in such a nerfed and slow state that playing it on turn 6 isn't a detriment anymore.
The things that held DSR back (Pirate Warrior, Murloc Paladins, Tempo Mages, ZooLock) are gone. So you can drop it safely.
You could never Build a beast for 4 turns safely before RR.
Aggro and other fast decks in a nerfed and slow state. In hearthstone. Yeah right.
DR is the one card hunter uses to beat control, not aggro. Spellstone is for tempo, DR for infinite value. I think you got something confused here friend.

I said Deathstalker Rexxar is weak. It only looks strong because Standard only has afew aggrdecks. Just Odd Rogue/Paladin and Hybrid Hunter.
Rogue got nerfed
Paladin got nerfed
Hybrid Hunter is 2015 with 2 draw cards.
They pale in comparison to Face Warrior and MurlocPaladin. You used to lose playing Rexxar on curve.
Yeah I remember before Level Up Nerfs Rexxar was a joke. You were dead 1-2 turns before you could even play it and it didn't even clear the 3/3s plus even if you cleared their board they have full board again immediately and you can play one 5 mana beast at most as a defense next turn. Weak and slow, unplayable against aggro.
What Trikzen said. Rexxar's power level is relatively modest, it's just all other broken stuff has been nerfed or rotated so now Rexxar is finally playable for couple of months.
You're confusing relative strength with absolute strength. Because something else is stronger does not make the thing weaker.
Deathstalker Rexxar was weak all of 2017.
It only was strong after
Pirate warrior rotated
Kazakus Priest Warlock, and Mage rotated
Murloc Paladin rotated
Jade decks rotated
Cubelock got nerfed
Odd Paladin got nerfed
Even Paladin got nerfed
All 7+ Druid decks got nerfed
Shudderwock Shaman got nerfed
Quest Rogue was nerfed again
Kingsbane Rogue got nerfed
Deathstalker Rexxar's absolute strength isn't that high. It's that most of the other decks rotated or were nerfed and dropped under it.
It's a single card deck. It's absolute value is ridiculously high. If the beast pool were overall pretty weak or if it could only build a beast with a capped mana cost (that was, say, 5 mana or less) then it would be weaker.

And?
Absolute value? Sure Deathstalker Rexxar is a who lotta absolute value. But you have to live long enough to use it.
And before the latest nerfs, living long enough on play even 3 zombeast was pretty hard vs anything but fatigue decks.

While I generally agree with your point that the metagame is particularly friendly to DK Rexxar right now, we can't forget that DK Rexxar is one of the only cards in HS history that was buffed. And it was buffed at the very end of 2017.
Those buffs gave it more defensive options than it had previously, so making Zombeasts against aggressive decks was better.

Unsurprisingly, in 2018, it saw a lot of play.
I wouldn't call it a buff. More like a bug fix. The initial Rexxar was just poorly / lazily implemented by devs. They either didn't have time to make him work correctly or were too lazy and cut corners. What they did later was merely make him work in a more logical / expected way.

Although as you say it become a more logical way, it still has to be argued that the card grew stronger, thus a buff.

Most of the buff was the rotation and nerf of Pirate Warrior and Murloc Paladin
Adding beasts to the pool helps. But the biggest help was that Aggro got nerfed or rotated. The Deathknights doesn't usually help a hunter looking at a lethal board.

Infinite value cards are op, the rotation can't come soon enough.
soon enough this ridiculous year of overpoweredness will be gone
and we'll be blessed with an uninspiring set of most likely 4 expansions
yaaaaay!!

They also changed how Rexxar worked, which is pretty important to note.
