Hey there! I am having a good time playing a warrior deck made by me, it's not made for climbing and infact i am not using it for that purpose, i am a seasoned war player (since beta) and i wanted to challenge myself in creating a deck. It works out decently but i noticed this: with both Heavy Metal and Geosculptor Yip you never want to summon a 10 mana minion. It's pretty much always a bad minion that comes out (or it has a battlecry effect or most of the time it's a 7-14 vanilla) and generally you want 9 mana but more than anything 8 mana minions. Do you agree with me? what are your thoughts on it?

It chops and changes with expansions as cards come and go. Last expanison (or the one before, I forget), there were only like 5 x 10-mana minons. And one of them was 1 12-12 with Untargettable, which was crazy strong. But even now, there are almost always great minions to receive at 10 mana. 9-mana has always been a weird one since you could get some decent dragons like Ysera, etc, but there are also neff ones like Dragonhatcher etc. 8 has often been good because of cards like The Lich King, or Charged Devilsaur etc - but these will be gone in the next rotation. 7 is almost always the worst currently due to cards like Lynessa Sunsorrowor the nerfed Giggling Inventor.
So overall, 10 mana means you are most likely to get at least something good.
I've played quite a lot of Big/Recruit Warrior and 8-9 Mana is the Sweet Spot for sure. 6 can yield good results as well. But 10 is a nono. Unless you land a Deathwing of course.
Thank you for the replies! Some different opinions showed up. From what i can see who uses it in practice noticed my same thing while if you look at the theory it seems like 10 mana is always the best

4/3/19 RIP Keith Flint. 😔
8 mana always
And never 2 mana because its always 100% Doomsayer, pogchamp
10 is still consistently the best.

More than 10 armor is almost always at least an 8/8 giant
Both cards says *up to 10*
