Do you ever roleplay scenarios in your head about who you are playing against? For example, you could get an impression based on their name, their time between turns, and their general level of intelligence. It adds a unique personal factor to each match. Nevar forget this!!
You could be even playing against the sickest, twisted psychopath on the PLANET and you would never know. I wouldn't be surprised, given the absolute FREAK community Blizzard manages to pull year by year.... absolute champs yo.
The advent of solitare modes right now (more and more OTK decks) shows what is the social aspect on the ladder :)
There was one try to make the game more social - the Fireside Gatherings... but apparently the reception was not so good (rage as always when it occurred that there is no meeting nearby and everyone wanted to get another alt. hero skin).
Other try was to allow to borrow a deck from opponent in friendly challenge - quite good option, inspired most probably by the competition - but guess what, hearthpwn, reddit etc revolves around rank mode, where no deck borrowing is possible, so it was not even spotted and praised by community ;)
If opponent is highlighting every single card in their hand or board when im on my turn then u are either a total asshole or a newbie. Oh and if u play aggro mage then u are a moron
I think there's some confusion between roleplay and players?
Roleplay is based upon what is apparent in the game. And HS is generally quite poor about it, if you care to win some games. With the notable exception of Tribe-based decks. (possibly the reason why people love Dragons, Murlocs and Pirates so much?)
As for the player behind the nickname of my opponent, there are not enough elements. Even a Wild Big Priest player could be an interesting person, despite what they are playing. It could be anything, so it's just a waste of time and effort.
If I was genuinely curious about individuals and their private stories, I'd go out there and meet people, or some chat maybe, instead of playing HS.
... Even a Wild Big Priest player could be an interesting person, despite what they are playing. ...
nah, i'm pretty sure that's not the case. The only nice thing I could say about them is they are probably slightly less of a dick than mill rogues. Big priest players are probably the type to use the handicap parking spots despite not being handicapped. Mill rogues use them and then shove the handicapped people down whenever they see them.

I would love to know if that happened to me. I enjoy much more spending my time with total "freaks" than with average people, and I don't care how dangerous they are. Common people are boring as hell (seriously, they are so predictable and stupid, it is ridiculous), and the only way to get along with them is lying and pretend to be other person all the f..king time, which is a bit fun at first, but becomes tedious over time. :(
I beat a big priest with a full golden deck last week. He rage added me to call my deck cancer. I think he was roleplaying an idiot. :,)
I have a very sad suspicion that such a creature is unable to "act", rather he was himself.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
When playing hearthstone I think 🤔 to my self how old is this person did this person go to school why is he playing more cards when lethal is clearly on board. How was this person born in to world. Does this person have a bad life why is such ass.

Wow that was edgy!
Seriously though, we all freaks deep down my brother. I have met so many people and i have yet to find single person who is mentally healthy (myself included). The only difference between ''normal'' people and freaks is either:
A)they have not realise their own mental instability

Dude, please... Age, education, country, life style, etc., none of that has to do with how nice or bad a person is. The only thing that dictates how a person is, is what resides in his/her heart. :)

Then the people I play have no heat plain and simple or am I right and ur one idiot on ladder 🤔.

Hi, jainaishot! :) Yeah, I shouldn't have really used the term "freaks". :P The thing is, I'm just having a really bad day today, and I wanted to express my hatred for this world, that's all. :D

First, I'm not an idiot, I'm a god in human form (just ask my mom ;)). And second, there is no reason to being mean, we can be all friends here. :)

Option 4: Is there a social aspect in HS?

There are only two things I think about my opponent while playing hearthstone:
If they are playing a tier 1 deck and beat me, I don't like them and think they are as dumb as rock and I go to the salt thread to vent
If they are playing a fun/creative deck, I like them, unless they beat me.
If opponent is highlighting every single card in their hand or board when im on my turn then u are either a total asshole or a newbie. Oh and if u play aggro mage then u are a moron

I auto-squelch so often that I think I've got trench foot. I also never accept friend requests from strangers.
If I want to participate in the social aspect of HS, I'll just come here.
No.

Sounds like someone needs some friends irl

That was AMAZING!!! Such a great masterpiece (as always), I'm shocked! :O
