Wild should be full of crazy combos and whatnot, but I hate that it's basically the dumping ground of broken cards. Card is OP? You either nerf it or "it's rotating in a couple months, no big deal." I think we either need a third ladder mode or there needs to exist a set of straight up banned cards in Wild ladder. MTG has banned cards in competitive play because they were broken or resulted in poor interaction; why shouldn't T5 consider the same thing for its game?

The difference between creating another format in HS and creating another format in something like MTG is about resources. Is it worth really having servers dedicated to a format that no one will play (which is probably what will happen if you have Standard, "Balanced" Wild, and Eternal)?
In an IRL card game, creating other formats doesn't have this cost. And even so, many of those other formats are barely supported, if at all.
Hell, we don't have a tournament mode yet. I'd much prefer sorceresses going into that.
Because while you might enjoy the mentality of "hey I drew this card before turn 4, guess I win this game now". I can assure you that not a single one of your opponents does. This is the case with the Barnes Y'shaarj combo. (You running Ragnaros instead for whatever inexplicable reason is beside the point.)
Just because you run 28 meme cards doesn't mean an absolutely busted card is justifiable in any way.

Wild lets you play every card - banning cards defeats the entire purpose of Wild. And there are barely enough players to support Wild as it is - a third mode is not viable.

I can't speak for other players but I would play Wild if I knew it wasn't just a dumping ground of broken cards. Given the positive comments I've heard around this week's Tavern Brawl, I think a third mode (or changes to Wild) are at least something worth looking into.

The whole fun of wild is that it's a dumping ground for broken cards and broken decks. You can tell there has been a huge influx of people who usually only play Standard this month for the promotion. The number of topics complaining about decks that have been T1 in Wild for 6+ months already is amazing. Yeah, it sucks when someone drops a turn 3 Barnes into Y'Shaarj, but that happens a very small percentage of the time and it's balanced out by the lulz when they Shadow Essence into Barnes on turn 6 and concede.
That said, I'm just happy to see any kind of discussion about Wild on the forums, so debate away!
Tbh, if i had to bet on Blizz action, i would go for what the OP said.
It would by no means fix Wild mode, but it would probably fix the current Wild meta.
I still think a new Wild policy needs to be introduced, or the mode will stick to its state of abandonment.
Devolve directly counters Big Priest... and you want to nerf it...?

I think wild is fine.
