Shudderwock is no longer a thing anymore. Druids are gone. They did an amazing job.
Will be for sure but for some reason they keep hunter OP and don't nerf the completely broken, out of control and insanely undercosted cards, like the DK and the spellstone, turning the meta into a hunterstone BS.
The hunter DK isn't undercosted.
It costs 6 mana to cast and two mana to use a hero power that initially does nothing that turn (that's a total of 8 mana, just like Anduin, just like Garrosh, and one more than Malfurion). You guys seem to have this bizarre perspective that the two mana that goes into creating a beast (again mana spent that does nothing, unlike Anduin or Malfurion) doesn't count towards the dk's mana cost. It's not like the two mana spent creating the zombeast actually reduces the cost of the beast. It's a two mana do nothing.
Sure a single card that contests all control decks run in every single hunter deck including hyper aggressive decks is not under costed and not a problem. Move along folks , nothing to see here.....
It is no more"broken" than every other DK card (except the Warrior one).
Move along, its just a cry baby with the same old rant.
"Because a class sees little play, the balance changes were bad."
Is completely false. I submit to you Exhibit A, Priest for most of Hearthtstone.
Exhibit B, a little thing called "the meta." Hunter is popular right now because Druid got hit the hardest and was the main contender to Hunter. That doesn't mean on a larger scale Hunter is broken or that Druid is grossly underpowered. It simply means we haven't caught up yet.
well for the most part i'm having much more fun in this meta , more fun than before the nerfs , i really hated playing against kingsbane , now that this deck is gone don't have to worry about that boring game every once and a while , personally i'm happy the nerfs happened and the meta shaped this way

It's 2 mana draw a card, but don't move towards fatigue and the card is better than the average card.
The meta was far more diverse, interesting and fun pre nerfs.
No it wasn't! Kingsbane was cancer and Druid ruled standard for a year and a half. It was oppressive. People crying about Hunter having 4 top tier decks smh. They are all different. Druid had 4 top tier decks and there was only like a 6 card difference between them. Hunter may be top dog til rotation but that's only a 4 month period.
No mention of the Level Up nerf in this thread, probably because everyone hated the deck and praised its nerf. A bunch of Odd Paladin players probably started playing hunter.
Odd pally is still a top tier deck with an avg 58% win rate post-nerf. It's still my best deck (interestingly, my prior best deck, spell hunter, is performing less well because everyone is playing counters now). It changed the play style a little, but the deck is still very powerful. Now you just expend your dudes instead of protecting them. The nerf was warranted and balanced. Druid on the other hand...
My 5 last games was turn 2 secret , turn 3 secret , turn 4 coin spellstone, i instantly concede when i saw the coin i dont even want to see the actual card that's how upset i'm right now lol i'm a rogue player only so 0 chances to answer that which i believe it's such a fail approach for the rogue perspective, this class should be good at AoE it makes no sense to me.
It's just very frustrating to face hunter over and over again for a rogue player like me so i'll be forced to not play the game until April, sadly because i love my deck and i believe it's super strong but it just dont have any chance against hunter also struggle against other slower ones because it's a minion base deck and they are all building their decks to beat hunter with a billion of AoE, i just faced a priest that AoE me for 8 times it was one of the most disgusting games i've had.
It's very hard to beat secret using hunters with Hooktusk Rogue, if that is what you play. Last season I went 0-8 against hunters with it, while destroying everything else, except odd paladin.
Exhibit B, a little thing called "the meta." Hunter is popular right now because Druid got hit the hardest and was the main contender to Hunter. That doesn't mean on a larger scale Hunter is broken or that Druid is grossly underpowered. It simply means we haven't caught up yet.
...
I don't have a single hunter deck (Secret, Deathrattle, several Midrange decks) that has a negative winrate against the druid class. I was happy to see a druid coming up.
The counter was odd paladin for all of them. I have only played secret and deathrattle hunter against odd pala since the nerfs, and while deathrattle still stands very little chance, the secret hunter matchup got way easier without level up.
The only nerf I cared about was Kingsbane. Leeching Poison change was absolutely necessary. The odd paladin one also makes sense but I'm not sure it will ever be held in check if the upgraded hero power doesn't change.
As for Druid, I agree that one or the other would have been a good nerf, probably Wild Growth since it's a basic card. I hope Blizzard realizes the community will not mind if a nerf is reverted once in awhile. Experimentation with nerfs is the only way to see how it will effect the meta without a PTR of sorts.
Even though I don't like how they nerfed Druid into oblivion, I think it was needed to help Priest and Warrior overcome their previous poor states in the meta. All 9 classes cannot be balanced at the same time, as we know too well now. 1-2 classes will be OP, of course.
Basically sacrifice Druid to bring up Warrior, I guess

Or they could just provide underdog classes better cards. This clearly works as we saw with Dragon Priest. You shouldn't need to nerf everything else to bring everything down the level of under performing classes.

Two of those are true, if you enjoyed playing Druid that is. That's really what this thread is, a pity party for the class that pulled the shortest straw this round.

According to the latest Meta stats over the last week, up to this morning at 8am, Spell Hunter was 12% of games played, Midrange Hunter 8.9%, Clone Preist 5.05%, Deathrattle Hunter 4.9% and Control Priest was 4.7%.
Throw in Secret Hunter at 2.46% and Face Hunter at 0.68% of all games played that still leaves 71% or so of games that don't feature Hunter. It might seem that Hunter is all over the place, true. But just look at the stats.
Spell Hunter is top at 52. 26% WR followed by CubeLock at 51.94% WR, Secret Hunter at 51.86 WR then come 6 other decks that aren't Hunter, all within 0.20% WR of each other. The other Hunter Deck being Deathrattle Hunter.
The Top 10 decks across ALL Ranks for WR are four Hunter Decks and 6 others. That's not in order, but that is 60/40 in favour of non Hunter Decks.
I dunno, but it just doesn't feel that oppressive to me.
The entire meta is being shaped by Hunter but it's not oppressive at all..... Wtf drugs are you guys taking?
You should copy/paste one of your reactions, because the last 100 where all the same. Grow up kid, it is just a game.

Just need to point out this is not how card economy works. In fact, clearing a CtA is usually a benefit to your opponent.
My problem with Rexxar Dk is not exactly it cost but how they always have it at turn 6, it's rigged af.

Exhibit C Vicious Syndicate: https://www.vicioussyndicate.com/vs-data-reaper-report-116/ seven out of nine classes have at least a tier 2 deck. Meta is pretty diverse. Need I remind you of the Pirate Warrior and Shamanstone days?

That is your opinion. It is not shared by any expert player in the game,
I am all expert players and I disagree.

Just wait for the rotation. A lot will change after that.

Odd how I have never seen you in a HS tournament. It stands the reason you are a nobody,
to be honest all nerfs are crap
