Well, I am statistically very unlucky, and I can't help but wonder if it isn't because I am free to play. Blizzard may punish free-to-play players by giving them bad RNG in the hopes they buy packs to be able to win games. And if winning games becomes associated with buying packs, it might incentivize more pack buying regardless of whether what's in the packs improved a deck.
This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read on this site.
I think the problem is the fact that you are blaming blizzard for bad RNG, HS is RNG heavy, if you accept that you can learn to correspond your plays to it. If you want to start with a cheap deck that's able to win just go and play midrange hunter.
Are you free to play? People say these kind of assertions are ridiculous, but there really is no reason Blizzard wouldn't do this (what do they have to lose in a free-to-play player?) And the RNG really has to be seen to be believed.
By the way, this is rank 11 I am facing Subject 9 Hunter, which according to Tempostorm is the number 1 deck in the game. How am I ever supposed to get wins this way with a non-optimized deck and terrible RNG?
Dude what is your problem? I took a less expensive even paladin deck easily on day 4 of the season to rank 5. Could surely hit legend with it but I did that already and lack the time.
All you write about even paladin suggests that you are not nearly close to understand the deck. I'd guess your mulligans aren't good either.
The 2 drops in the deck can easily dominate the early game. Try to replace at least one spikered steed for a knife juggler as a start.
In general please stop complaining about bad luck but better ask for specific advice. Many people here could help you. As far as it seems right now the main problem is your mind set.
Sometimes in ranked you can't play the deck that you want to play and expect to win. It sucks but if you're queueing into matchups that are really bad for the deck you're playing you're going to need to switch to something else. Right now the deck I really want to be playing is Control Paladin, but I keep queueing into Mecha'thun priest and druid which are unwinnable matchups so I was forced to switch to a Control Warlock deck that's teched to beat Mecha'thun decks instead. It's not as much fun to play but it's better than losing every game so sometimes you gotta do it.
Mulligan might be a problem. I always keep Corpsetaker, usually Truesilver and things like ooze and the murloc. I dunno about the Knife Juggler. It is useless against things like Odd Warrior and against aggro I don't have enough other early game to keep it alive long enough to make it worthwhile (also not many cheap minions other than my hero power).
And thank you for telling me that you took a cheaper even paladin deck to rank 0.2 in the first 15 seconds of the season. You would have been hired by Blizz as a dev and given the key to their liquor cabinet if only you didn't have to get up for class the next morning. I get it. Unfortunately it doesn't really help me to hear how great you are at the game.
By the way, this is rank 11 I am facing Subject 9 Hunter, which according to Tempostorm is the number 1 deck in the game. How am I ever supposed to get wins this way with a non-optimized deck and terrible RNG?
Terrible RNG? Unoptimized deck just because you miss a perfectly replaceable legendary card?!?
You must be either trolling or too much in a snowflake mood.
You have been given plenty of serious advice. Have at least the decency to read and try to apply them.
If you just want to complain, there's the Salty Thread for that.
Man, relax. I wouldn't even consider me a good player. My point is that even paladin is an insanely powerful deck that can make you climb. If you know what you are doing. So save your sarcasm and try to deal with the help and advice you're given here.
As for knife juggler. It is insane versus hunter. It allows you to deal face damage while building up your board ignoring his secrets. Also versus warrior its surely not useless. How can you make such absolute statements without being a competent player?
By the way, blessing of kings is key against most slower decks, especually warlocks or Mage. Consecration is your friend versus odd pally and so on. Corpsetaker is a key card as well but not THE card of the deck. It has very strong midrange threads in general.
Your posts clearly appear more like salty statements rather than articulating that you're open for and ready to follow advices and guidance.
Here is my even paladin deck with budget replacements. If you can win with this at rank 11 on ladder, please let me know how you do it.
### Even Paladin - Standard # Class: Paladin # Format: Standard # Year of the Raven # # 1x (2) Acidic Swamp Ooze # 2x (2) Argent Protector # 1x (2) Crystalsmith Kangor # 2x (2) Equality # 2x (2) Hydrologist # 2x (2) Wild Pyromancer # 2x (4) Blessing of Kings # 2x (4) Consecration # 2x (4) Corpsetaker # 1x (4) Saronite Chain Gang # 1x (4) Spellbreaker # 2x (4) Truesilver Champion # 2x (6) Argent Commander # 1x (6) Avenging Wrath # 1x (6) Genn Greymane # 1x (6) Mojomaster Zihi # 2x (6) Spikeridged Steed # 1x (6) Sunkeeper Tarim # 1x (6) Windfury Harpy # 1x (8) The Lich King # AAECAZ8FCrcE8gWKB5YJucECm8sCws4CzfQC/fsCwI8DCpkC3AP0Bc8Grwf2B/4Hs8ECiMcClugCAA== # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone
This seems like a decent list.
I would say with the corpsetaker package, you want lifesteal. Maybe the 2 cost lizard would be good.
I'm not sure how good hydroligist, mojomaster, avenging wrath, or Saronite are.
What class are you trying to tech against with ooze? Paladin, rogue, warrior? How often do you use it well?
2x Argent commander also seems bad and unnecessary. It makes your curve a bit topheavy. What about more 2 drops instead?
If your only heal is truesilver, Kangor is kinda pointless.
Val'ynar was cool pre Saronite nerf, it's still pretty good in long gsmes though.
Even paly is all about going tall with the board and buffing smaller minions. The optimal playstyle is quite different from curve tempo, control, and agro decks. It took me a while to get used to it.

What in the blazes are you talking about? Not only is this the best list bar 2 or 3 cards, but first you tell him he needs lifesteal and then you tell him to cut Kangor? Hello?
Avenging wrath, Val'anyr, Saronite and hydrologist are run in pretty much every decent to good list. He has 8 2-drops, that's more than enough.
Are you free to play? People say these kind of assertions are ridiculous, but there really is no reason Blizzard wouldn't do this (what do they have to lose in a free-to-play player?) And the RNG really has to be seen to be believed.
Some examples of my most recent RNG luck
Drew Windfury Harpy in mulligan, threw it away, drew it back before either Corpsetaker.
Avenging Wrath against three minions with total 4 life got 5 face hits.
All in one game.
